Very good nourishing cream: nurturing and comforting, soothing in harsh winter conditions, too. I would buy again.

Lipstick -Guerlain - Rouge G De Guerlain - All Colors
rated 2 of 5
doree_001 3/13/2010 5:40:00 PM

Rather bad lipstick for such a (typical for Guerlain) 'over the top' presentation and such a luxurious packaging (and for this price). It is drying on the lips and it creases... Very average texture, nothing special. Bad staying power. Huge disappointment.

Moisturizers -Orlane - Extreme Line Reducing Re-Plumping Cream
rated 5 of 5
doree_001 3/13/2010 11:15:00 AM

An excellent cream! Very moisturizing, and it really sort of 're-plumps' the skin. The skin looks fresher, younger, re-plumped -- you just look good! Feeling on the skin is very nice & pleasant, because it is, as I said, very moistuirizing (although the consistency is not thick, it has light fresh creamy consistency). I like this cream a lot and I will repurchase for sure.

Moisturizers -Orlane - Absolute Skin Recovery Repairing Night Cream
rated 3 of 5
doree_001 3/13/2010 11:09:00 AM

Good cream, not excellent, not bad, helps a bit when you lack sleep, but I haven't seen much of a "repairing" promisses. It was OK, I bought it only once, at first (first week of using) I thought it was really good, after that I was not so impressed. It helps a bit concerning tiredness etc., but regarding moisturization or anti-age, 'repairing' effects - not much really. It has a thicker, somehow balmy consistency, so it is good to warm it a bit on your palm before using (at least SA recommended me so). I would not buy again. 3+

Polishes -Chanel - Gondola #499
rated 3 of 5
doree_001 9/20/2009 11:14:00 AM

Yes, it is a very 80's color, more plummy than burgundy on my nails, with some red shimmer. Actually the color is too dark for me and looks very dull & boring: I don't like it. (It is very similar to No. 215 Red Dream, but Red Dream is more brownish... Red Dream suits me better IMO, although I am cooltoned, and definitely looks more interesting).

Concealers -Chanel - LIFT LUMIÈRE CONCEALER Smoothing and Rejuvenating Eye Contour Concealer
rated 1 of 5
doree_001 8/11/2009 7:18:00 PM

This is probably one of the worst concealers that I have ever had. I got it in color No.20 - Rose, the lightest no.10 - Beige is too yellow for me and the darkest of the three, 30 - Abricot too dark for me. The color looked good under the artificial light when I tried it in a department store, but after I've purchased it I have been very disappointed.: it is a washed out, horrible color that would make everyone ill-looking, I think. The concealer itself doesn't cover anything, doesn't 'lift' anything, it even emphasizes lines. Very bad looking.

Fragrances -By Kilian - A Taste of Heaven
rated 2 of 5
doree_001 8/10/2009 6:04:00 AM

Inspired by absinthe, but less 'medicinal' on my skin than Straight to Heaven. Beside bergamot, I can smell a lot of lavender oil here, too, and oak moss in the drydown (with some warmer tobacco notes, as paschat said). Not especially pleasant fragrance to me, I wouldn't wear it.

Very acrid start, 'medicinal', sharp, pungent notes. Doesn't develop into something much more pleasant, it stays rather bitter, thin, green-alcoholic fragrance on my skin. Completely unpleasant to me.

Mascara -Lancome - Oscillation Vibrating Infinite Mascara
rated 4 of 5
doree_001 8/9/2009 7:55:00 PM

Pretty good mascara: it gives volume and length, it has a nice sleek brush and it is much easier to handle it than I thought. It is so easy to pick all lashes, even the tinniest one, with it. It makes almost perfect thick lashes, but it weigh them down a bit after a while. Nice black color, too.

Fragrances -Les Parfums de Rosine - Poussiere de Rose
rated 4 of 5
doree_001 8/9/2009 7:29:00 PM

The opening is bitter and 'medicinal' but also somehow fresh, full of excitement and promising -- very interesting. Then it develops into a nice, full, rich rose fragrance, but not only a dull rose fragrance: it combines rose with plum, incense, tea and cinnamon. It has some almost antique quality, like someone said. I wouldn't buy it for me, but it is a nice, refined, classy fragrance; fans of rose fragrances should try it.

Fragrances -Unlisted Brand - Washington Tremlett - My Fair Lady
rated 2 of 5
doree_001 8/9/2009 7:14:00 PM

Like other reviewers have said, this is a too powdery, too sweet, candy - rose fragrance, with an almost non-existing staying power. Also too expensive for such a bad quality. I liked the opening for just a second -- it was like a promising of a light, fresh rose fragrance, but it immediately turned to a powdery, dry, watered-down, oldfashioned cologne, and than disappeared into sweet 'nothing'.

An average citrusy-unisex fragrance. Pretty much like some traditional men's cologne.

Fragrances -Miller Harris - L-Air de Rien
rated 1 of 5
doree_001 8/9/2009 6:58:00 PM

This is the fragrance with one of the most horrible openings/top-notes that I have ever experienced. It is just awful, repulsive, stinky, and I don't want to say what the top-notes remind me of. :-( The drydown is not that horrible, but anyway trying L'Air de Rien has been one of my worst fragrance experiences!

Fragrances -By Kilian - Love
rated 2 of 5
doree_001 8/9/2009 6:52:00 PM

I don't like that. It is a gourmand/sweet-sugary fragrance, too thick for my liking, and somehow very banal. I can't recognize any of listed notes (bergamot, neroli, coriander, honeysuckle, orange flower, jasmine, bulgarian rose, iris), except caramelised suggar accord (listed in the drydown, with civet, vanilla and white musk -- but I smell it all the way)...

Fragrances -By Kilian - Beyond Love
rated 3 of 5

This is a buttery tuberose fragrance, rather linear, similar to Fracas (maybe a tad warmer, but also more one-dimensional) like paschat said. I am not a fan of tuberose fragrances, so tuberose smell here is maybe too overwhelming for my liking, because tuberose is almost all that I smell here. (OK, I smell some slightly sweet coconut in drydown, after couple of hours -- that's nice... and the funny thing is that coconut accords are listed in top notes -- not in the drydown). Yes, this is a nice fragrance, especially for tuberose admirers, still I feel like something is missing here, it lacks 'sparkle'. All in all it is a fine fragrance, but a bit flat and boring.
