I don't really like this. It makes your hair shiny, but it's more of a greasy-shiny than glossy, and if you aren't careful with it your hair will end up looking gross. I prefer the John Frieda Color Glaze, which is glossier shine. This stuff is too oily.

Lip Gloss -Zoya - Hot Lips Glossy Lip Balm in Datenite

Ooh! I love this gloss! It's a beautiful, rich red color, but it's also sheer enough to wear around during the daytime. I love red, but the red lipstick I have is really too dark to wear wherever I want so I found the perfect red lipgloss instead. Definitely not on the cheap side, but it's not watery or sticky and when it fades off it does so evenly so that you don't get a ring around your mouth like some thicker lipglosses and many lipsticks do.

Moisturizers -Desert Essence - Jojoba Oil - 100% pure

I really, really wish this had worked for me- I had kind of gotten my hopes up for this product. I don't normally break out, but I do get the occasional pimple and I do have some blackheads on my nose. My skin also gets pretty dry in the winter. So, anyways, I bought a bottle of jojoba oil at Trader Joe's and used it as a moisturizer on my face. It didn't really get rid of my dry skin, but I will say that it did loosen up a few blackheads and it got rid of some small bumps on my forehead. However, after using this for a couple of days, I broke out pretty badly. Since the jojoba oil didn't seem to help with my dry skin, it made it really hard to cover up the blemishes. I tried mixing it with my regular lotion, but it didn't help. Nevertheless, I figured I was already halfway through and there wasn't much of a point in stopping- until, that is, I saw a large, painful cyst develop. Pretty much ew. I do know that cysts are caused by your skin producing too much oil, so, in my very un-expert opinion, I'm pretty certain the jojoba oil was the oily culprit. (You have to understand that I rarely break out and that I have NEVER gotten a cyst before in my life, so I freaked out.) Cysts can scar, so I stopped using the jojoba oil immediately and began treating the cyst and the blemishes with BHA. That seemed to do the trick for them, and the cyst didn't scar, although for a few days there was an angry red mark on my forehead. There are also lots of bumps on my forehead with gunk in them- gross, I know! Again, I really wish this had worked for me. I tend to break out if I get sweaty/oily (if you tend to get blackheads or white bumps that get inflamed if you pick at them you probably have the same issue), and I have sensitive skin, too, so if you have either you might want to try something else.

Bath Treatments -LUSH - Youki-Hi Bath Bomb
rated 5 of 5

This is my favorite bath bomb! It smells absolutely wonderful, the little golden sparkles are lovely, it makes your hair and skin soft, the flowers floating around in the tub are great, and even though it's only a one time use product the price is still pretty good. ($5.50 in Portland, OR.) I love it.

Bath Treatments -LUSH - You've Been Mangoed bath melt

AHHH... Just thinking about the scent of You've Been Mangoed makes me happy. It smells really great and it makes your skin soft, although I am sad that you can only use it once before having to buy another bar. The scent really does make up for it, though; amazingness in a bath melt. The only reason I won't buy it again is because my bathroom needs repairs and so for the time being I have no bathtub. :(

Skincare - Body -LUSH - Shimmy Shimmy Massage Bar

I actually bought this for my sister as a present but I had to keep stealing it away from her. I'm normally not big on sparkles but I would use some of this in the shower whenever I desired awesome shimmeryness. It's really lovely and the scent is great! You can even use some on your eyelids if you like sparkles there too.

Shampoo -LUSH - Godiva Solid 2 in 1
rated 4 of 5
doombloom 7/25/2007 6:46:00 PM

I really love the Godiva solid shampoo! It smells great, especially if you pair it will the Flying Fox temple balm afterwards. It will last a long time- but only if you keep it dry! If it stays wet then it won't last long at all, so it's better to put it up or in a tin when you're done. Also, it's not exactly a 2 in 1, I prefer to use a bit of conditioner afterwards, but other than that I think it's great. It makes your hair smell wonderful and feel soft.

Treatments -LUSH - Flying Fox Temple Balm

This is, without a doubt, my favorite Lush product of all time. It smells fantastic! Don't assume that it's not worth it because of the price or how small of a tin it is- the tin I bought lasted me a year, even though I used 2x every day. (And when I used it, I tended to slather all over.) However, I do have a few tips if you buy a tin: 1. Don't use too much- a little goes a long way, since it's such a strong scent. 2. Don't think that the scent disappears quickly and put more on after you've just used it, because you actually get used to the smell after a while and although you might not still smell it, others will. It is absolutely worth the money! I will definitely buy it again!

Gels/Soaps -LUSH - Sonic Death Monkey
rated 1 of 5

This product is not cheap and it smells...ashy, almost. It doesn't do anything for my skin. The scent is okay, but really nothing to rave about and certainly not worth the money I forked over for it. :(

Moisturizers -Vaseline - Petroleum Jelly
rated 5 of 5
doombloom 7/1/2007 1:26:00 PM

I luuuuuurrrrve Vaseline- it's one of those things in my makeup bag that I simply cannot do without. It doesn't clog your pores, and it's really great if you have a blemish with dry skin on/around it that you need to cover up; since anyone who has put concealer or foundation on dry skin can confirm that the result is pretty horrible. You can also use it as a high-shine lip gloss or even on your eyelids over eyeshadow. (I know, putting it on your eyelids sounds a bit weird if you've never tried it before, but if you read Kevyn Aucoin's Making Faces you can see that the result is actually pretty cool.)

Mascara -Maybelline - Great Lash Mascara

I really like this mascara. Maybe the reason it smudges for so many people is because they don't wipe excess mascara off the wand (not sure though), because I've found that if you wipe off the excess mascara then it works really well. Will definitely buy again.
