Cleansers -Ponds - Deep Cleanser Cold Cream

I use this generally to remove eye makeup. I feel, in my opionon, that nothing else works as well to remove eye makeup. Even the few cleansing oils I have tried always seem to take so much effort and extra rubbing to remove mascara. With the Ponds, I pat it into my eye area and remove with a wet wash cloth. It removes all makeup so easliy and quickly. I do have to say that it does sting my fave very lightly, but other than that, it does not cause me to breakout. I just prefer to use it around my eye area.

Cleansers -Unlisted Brand - Laventine - Olive Forte Water-soluble Facial Cleansing Oil
rated 5 of 5

Well, I guess like everyone else, I am comparing this th DHC's Cleansing Oil. It's much thicker , I feel like I have to pump more out as compared to DHC's but to me, it just works so much better. It does not have the Rosemary, which irritates my skin. It does not irritate my eyes at all, with the DHC Oil I had cloudy vision for a few minutes. I do not wear heavy makeup, so I can't say how well it takes a ton of makeup/sunscreen off. Since, to me, this is expensive, I only use it on the days I wear makeup. I might repurchase again, but I love trying out new cleansers, so who knows? This is, though, on my list of cleansers that does the job, for my skin anyway.

Moisturizers -Unlisted Brand - DML Moisturizing Lotion

O.K., I really have to stop buying whatever is all the rage on the skincare board. Whatever people are liking at the moment (like this lotion) is what I end up disliking. I ordered this from drugstore.com last week and have been using this in the morning after I shower. First off, it is a great value for your money, and a bottle of this would probably last anyone at least a year. I like that it is a really light lotion. These two things are the only things I do like about this lotion. What don't I like? No matter how much I put on my face, could be a nickel, dime or quarter size, it leaves a tight film like feeling on my face. I kind of feel like I took some of my three year old daughter's paste and put a thin layer of that on my face and let it dry. This lotion just is not moisturizing for my face and I don't even need a lot of mositure, most of what I use is oil free and very light. Yes, it does dry matte, but since I only wear pressed powder on my face, this lotion left my face very dull looking. Other moisturizers that I like leave a nice sublte glow to my face, which I prefer. The smell. I could not get past the plastic smell. I prefer fragrance free products, but this one, I could not handle. I also have a problem area of clogged pores near my chin and this lotion has started to turn that area red and bumpy. If you can use this lotion, great! If not, you might like to try Olay sensitive skin lotion(what I always go back too.), Neutrogena oil free lotion(not moisturizing enough in the winter.) and my current fav Vichy oil free lotion( no scent and leaves a nice subtle glow.)available at your local CVS.

Mascara -L'Oreal - Voluminous mascara
rated 2 of 5
donnalynns 1/24/2007 12:09:00 PM

I really am not liking this at all. Why do I keep straying from my maybelline full n soft??? I guess I was looking for something a little more intense. This mascara is thick when you unscrew the wand. So thick, that I have to take a tissue and take so much of the product off. What a waste. It does not glide nicely on my lashes at all and I have nice long lashes to work with. It clumps and flakes all day. It is just to much to deal with in the morning when I am trying to get ready. The only plus is it does not bother my sensitive eyes. I will not repurchase and will go out and replace my full n soft.

Moisturizers -Eucerin - Sensitive Facial Skin Q10 Active Night Anti-Wrinkle Cream

I am really liking this cream this winter. I have been over exfoliating and started to have dry , flakey skin, and this cream has saved it. It is thick, but a little bit goes a long way and it dries matte on my skin, which is nice because I can wear it under my makeup. I do not think I could use this everyday though, I wore it for a full week a while ago and found my skin started to looked clogged so it is great for those times when I need a little more mositure on my skin just not for everyday use. The only negative for me is that it is in a jar. I will buy this again. Oh, I forgot, a huge plus is that it calms down the redness in my skin. I just wish they made this in a lotion without any suncreen, it would be my hg daytime lotion.

Moisturizers -Cerave - Moisturizing Lotion

I love this stuff! I bought the lotion and the moisturizer and have been using the lotion in the a.m. and a little cream in the p.m.. Both of these products have made my skin(body) feel like silk. As for using it on the face, I have been doing that for only a few days and so far so good. The lotion did make my face a little itchy right after the shower but that went away after 20 minutes or so. I like the fact that the lotion does not make my face look greasy. I will buy both products again and I am sure really soon as I will be using it on my kids this winter, especially my 18 month old son who has exzcema.

Gels/Soaps -Mario Badescu - AHA Botanical Body Soap
rated 3 of 5
donnalynns 10/28/2006 3:54:00 PM

I bought this thinking it would help with the KP on my arms and legs. It's nice but that is all. It is really no different from any body wash you can get in the store. The scent is very refreshing but does not last once you leave the shower. It also lathers much better with a body buff. I will not repurchase again.

Cleansers -Mario Badescu - Enzyme Cleansing Gel
rated 4 of 5
donnalynns 2/27/2006 3:11:00 PM

Just finishing up the sample I was sent and love it. It has cleared up my skin of the little bumps that I had and just gives my skin a moreglowy look. I am not sure I can use it eveyday or even 2x/day, it seems rather stong for that and my face was turning pink after some uses at the end of the week. I see myself buying this more in the summer when my face is more oilier or just using it in the winter a few times a week. Will buy this when I run out of my other cleansers (probably by the end of this year:) )

Mascara -Cover Girl - Fantastic Lash [DISCONTINUED]
rated 3 of 5
donnalynns 2/27/2006 3:05:00 PM

Bought this on a whim after hearing so many great review. It's just.......o.k. The wand is nothing special, in fact, I had a hard time putting on the mascara and I have super long lashes. It also clumps up really fast. What I did like about it is that it stayed on all day, no flakes and it did not irritate my eyes. Will I buy it again? No. It just does not compare to maybelline full and soft at all.

Shampoo -Unlisted Brand - Paves No Sulfates Allowed Repairing Shine Shampoo
rated 4 of 5
donnalynns 1/5/2006 9:21:00 AM

O.k. so this is a step for me in terms of shampoo. I have been using d/s brands my whole life. I wanted to try this because it has no sulfates and I have to say that I like it......so far. It left my hair clean feeling after I got of the shower, not weighed down like when I use my Aussie. What I did not like is the static it left in my hair and it is kind of warm here today. Honestly, I never buy the same shampoo after the bottle is up, my hair seems to like it when I switch to something new, so I am sure I won't repurchase again right away. Oh, and it was very hard to resist the urge to pour more shampoo on my head as it does not lather very well, obviously because of no sulfates. Right now, combined with the conditioning milk, I love how my hairs feels, it's bouncy and it does not feel weighed down. I guess the true test will be when it's 20 degrees outside, I hate static hair! I am also a little nervous about the oils in the shampoo, afraid they might break me out, guess I just have to wait and see.

Moisturizers -Clinique - Moisture Surge Face Spray
rated 5 of 5
donnalynns 1/4/2006 9:44:00 AM

I tried a spritz of my mil's and I loved it enough to go and buy some this weekend. First I am thinking that I am just spraying water on my face, but after it dried my face was dewey and fresh looking and felt as smooth as my 2 years old daughter's face. I plan on using it after I wash my face in the morning as toners tend to leave my face greasy looking afterwards. My house is also very dry so a spritz of this will help out alot.

Conditioner -Aussie - Moist Conditioner
rated 3 of 5
donnalynns 1/4/2006 7:33:00 AM

My husband thinks this smells like plastic and pumpkin, I really don't think it smells much like anything in the bottle, but on my daughter's hair it smells nice and fruity. Anyway, I have really thick hair and this just does not mositurize it all, it actually leaves it really dry. Now, on my 2 year old, it leaves her very cury hair nicely conditioned all week (use it on her once a week). I love the moist shampoo but not the conditioner, will not repurchase again.

Eye Makeup Remover -Rimmel - Gentle Eye Make Up Remover
rated 1 of 5
donnalynns 12/31/2005 10:28:00 AM

Awful product. I wear minimal eye makeup and it could not remove any of it. I went through cottonball after cottonball, then went through q-tip after q-tip. My kid's baby wipes got rid of the makeup in 10 seconds flat. Would not buy this again. I am now afraid to try any other eye makeup removers. I guess I will stick with the baby wipes for now, I always have tons on hand.

Lip Treatments -Palmers - Cocoa Butter Stick

I love this!! So much better than the Carmex I was using. Carmex was moisturizing for a few hours but then my lips would get dry and cracked again, from the menthol most likely. The Palmer's is so moisturizing, it gives my lips a nice soft shine. I will buy this again for sure!!
