my hair is very stubborn when it comes to haircolour and i usually get a subtle change when using permanent dyes, not that POW that i want., :( my hair was a DARK blueish/black.brown, from semi permanent dye and a waaay back dye of red that faded to brown. but to any guy, my hait would be just, BLACK. i bought copper red, hoping to get a copper light brown when it fades, the red would be nice when it lasted, so yeah. i wonder if 40 volume wouldve worked better...because i returned my 40 volume dev, for a 30 RIGHT before dying my hair because i wasnt sure what would happen with a 40. now, after dying my hair. the dye on MY hair (im asian, with very processed hair) was so not true to shade. :( BUT, if you have virgin hair, it works wonders!! too bad, 99% of my hair was not virgin. my hair ended up being like a...really dark sublte red velvet cake colour...but maybe a brighter shade wouldve brought me to my ideal shade. i plan to go buy a way lighter shade now...

Cleansers -The Body Shop - Tea Tree Oil Soap
rated 3 of 5
dollfayce 7/28/2009 5:56:00 PM

i bought this soap in a BUY 2 GET THE THIRD FREE dealf if you buy from a certain line of products, so i bought from the tea tree oil line since i have oily, acne prone skin. i bought 2 bars, along with a blemish stick for my sister, and the tea tree oil blotting tissues that were 2 for 10 so i ended up playing 24 bucks in total. hmm whatever. IT LASTED ME A LONG TIME. my first bar is out, but i recently opened the second, i keep it out in a soap dish out in the open with no cap cause i figured i like the soap dry, and solid, not wet and mushy, it also lasts longer that way. i dont use this often anymore, once in a while i gues, queen helene stole the daily cleansing spot that used to belong to this soap. i scrub my cleasing pad on it and lather onto my face, the scent is great, smells natural and light and the colour of the bar is so pretty! its a pretty great cleanser all around, you'll feel squeaky clean. though it left my skin dry after if i dont moisturize. i wouldnt purchase it again though since i bought it as a one time thing, i dont like to spend 7 bucks on a cleansing soap bar from some reason, even though thats just a couple of dollars more than my current cleanser. oh well. overall, it didnt do much difference and i kinda of felt a residue from the soap for some reason? im not sure.

Scrubs -Queen Helene - Mint Julep Natural Facial Scrub

first of all id DEFINTELY buy this again, after this bottle runs out im going to buy another one. After reading the rave reviews on sally's and MUA i went out to get one in hopes for it to help my acne prone, scarred, skin. for me, this is a daily thing to use, so i use this when i wake up and before i go to bed, and sometimes in the middle of the day when i feel greasy, or after i take a shower. ive heard that is isnt the best idea to exfoliate before sun exposure? but i dont go out a lot these days cause it's the summer and im just relaxing at home. but i'll continue to use this DAILY, if i want to keep my pores unclogged for hopefully a pimple-less, scar-less future. The texture is really smooth, with fine granules basically and it looks like sand. You don't need a lot, and i try not to use a lot cause this product is so great! I only use an amount the size of my pinky nail i guess and it works. the smell is great as well, it doesnt smell gross or chemically, but refreshing and cool like herbs. i got this 12 days ago and i'm seeing a difference! hopefully its a permanent difference because my breakouts have reduced a fair bit and redness is gone and my scars have lightened? (or maybe its just me? it LOOKS like they have!) but i'm sad that i used more than i should have and it will now run out faster. the price is okay, i got it at sally's for about 6 bucks, with my sally card. it's not dirt cheap, but its great value! once i use this long enough and my face starts to clear up and my mom starts to notice she'll let me stock up on this stuff! (she's been asking me if i wanted to try proactive -_- ...sad eh?) i bought this in hope to fade my scars because thats basically the main reason why i wear so much foundation and take so long in the morning to get ready. then hopefully after this summer i wont have to apply so much foundation, because i don't wanna wear so much makeup! btw. it has a screw off lid thats hard to put back on or take off with wet hands. but who cares it a great product. IM SAD THAT MY SALLY'S DOESNT HAVE THE MINT JULEP MASQUE AVAILABLE.

Loose Powders -New York Color - loose translucent powder
rated 5 of 5
dollfayce 7/28/2009 5:25:00 PM

i love this powder. i use it to set my concealer, my liquid and then after i apply everything. Its pretty cheap and it doesnt cause me to break out either. although it doesnt keep my skin looking matte all day, it sure helps cause without it i'd be an oil slick. the packaging could be better, like...a lid thats better at staying put. its pretty basic, a huge tub of powder with a sponge and lid you just stick on first i apply liquid lightly over my face and then brush on the stuff to set it. then i apply concealer in the places that the liquid did not cover an then i kind of pat on the powder onto my face because i dont want to use a brush and brush away at the concealer over my breakouts. then i apply looser mineral foundation and bit over my face to match my face match my tan on my neck, mist my face with water to erase the powdery/chalky look and then mist again slightly. i know everyone complains about how the powder is like EVERYWHERE when you open the lid who cares, SIMPLE SOLUTION: cut a piece of tape and cover the some of the holes so less of the powder comes out, since you dont even need a lot. it works like a charm.

Lip Treatments -Avon - Basics Care Deeply with Aloe Lip Balm
rated 3 of 5
dollfayce 7/28/2009 5:06:00 PM

i got this for 99 cents which was ggreatt, cause whenever i look in my avon catalogues i go to the lip balms page cause i love getting their lip balms for a cheap price. when i got it i peeled off the actuall pretty wrapper by accident aw. and then i opened it and it has the weirdest scent ever. something NOT for your lips. its like smoothin on floral perfume on your lips. soo you kinda get it in your mouth too and it tastes GROSS. good packaging. good texture. good price. bad scent. get if if you like floral scents though. in your mouth.

Lip Treatments -Jane - Be Pure Mineral Lip Balm
rated 5 of 5
dollfayce 7/28/2009 5:00:00 PM

i got this a while ago at my local real canadian super store and thats the only place i can find it! the texture is really smooth and creammy so don't twist it up too high or you might scrape off a chunk while putting the lid back on! i think i have this in pink garnet and its such a cute colour. the design of the tube is really pretty and it doesn't have a lame wrapper over that scrapes off eventually. the pigmentation is great, the colour definitinely shows! i love that it has a natural sunscreen in it from the pigment too. i def reccomend to to anyone of isnt a fan of lipstick but still want some colour. and it smells greaat, like a vanilla pastry.cookie...type smell. x]

Lip Treatments -Nivea - A Kiss of Protection Sun Protection Lip Care SPF 30
rated 5 of 5
dollfayce 7/28/2009 4:51:00 PM

i looove this. its one of my fav lip balms and i have a lot of pointless lip balms. the smell is like a light lemony, banana-ny.... pastry scent, its great. its not a soft lip balm so it wont mush up if you squish it againt the cap/lid by accident. theres a lot in the tube and its a lot inside. if your lips are chapped, it will make it look horrible pale and flaky, so dont layer too much either cause it gets pale as you layer. i like dirt cheap lip balms so maybe ill get another. but for now, its lasting me forever so im loving it. OH and most importantly, if youve ever twister up a lip balm to its maximum amount to see how much there was and wasnt able to twist it back down, you will not have that problem with this balm :)

Eyes -Revlon - Lash Jewels Eye Accents
rated 3 of 5
dollfayce 7/28/2009 4:44:00 PM

i bought this in crystal glaze at a discount makeup store for 1.00 i didnt even know they were limited edition :P i have fairly short eye lashes and im monolid too, so when i look up, my curled eyelashes would be touching my eye lid too. i can make pretty perfect jewels but i think it looks weird if you do not have long eyelashes. i tested them right now, and im waiting for them to solidify. it;s cool cause they look like perfectly round rain drops. xD easy to use, pretty but i wouldnt buy em again, this isnt really my thing. i just wanted to try em

Eyeliner -Wet 'n' Wild - H2O Proof Liquid Eyeliner
rated 2 of 5
dollfayce 7/28/2009 4:32:00 PM

i generally bought this in brown/black because i thought it would withstand sweat and constant squinting or tight-shutting of the eyes, since that what people do when they swim, or get hit my water, they shit theyre eyes tight. but no. after my wrestling match, which i wore it to, i went to the bathroom and it melted right down like racoon eyes. and i got pretty dissapointed. this would probably be good for partying, and i probably got it for the wrong reason, but whatever. the applicator felt tip is okay, but you have to make sure its in good condition over time of the little hairs of the felt may mess up your application. the bottle looks wierd :P its all pointy and weird to bring on the go i guess? and the screw off cap, applicator, is hard to take off i have to use my teeth :p im not a pro of using liquid eye liner, but i barely use this liner anyway maybe because of that? it doesn't dry fast and when it does it dries sticky? so it's even worse cause i'm asian and have a monolid, so one time i used it and my eye the fold of my eye got stuck x[ oh and it also got stuck to my eye lash and left clumps. although. i think i could keepthis to make more precise cat eyes. :)

Eyes -Rimmel - Eye Twist Automatic Duo Liner & Shadow
rated 4 of 5
dollfayce 7/28/2009 4:23:00 PM

i got this product in a gift from a friend for my birthday and i really like it, but i have no idea how much it costs so i not sure if ill get it again since it lasted me a while (after my sister stole for forever and i found it again) i like how the colours complement eachother and glide on. i have this in...im not even sure it doesnt say but i have it in a deep brown liner and a shimmery taupe/champagne colour which i use as a brow bone highlighter, it looks great on my slightly tan skin. im pretty sure this product isnt like..dirt cheap, so i wouldn't buy it again. i would like to get the liner in more funky colours though. actually if the liner came with just the shadow, that'd be nice.

Eyeliner -Bonne Bell - Eye definer
rated 5 of 5
dollfayce 7/28/2009 4:15:00 PM

i have these in glow and black shimmer and a silvery gray colour (not sure the label rubbed off) and i love them, i use them to complete a smokey eye which i like to do often. they are smooth and great for everyday, casual outings... not for partying or active stuff because it doesn't stay on too great and since i have oily skin, i have to wipe the smudge i get on my lower eye lid, but lower than where i actually applied. the pencil in Glow and silvery gray is good it doesnt smudge. but the darker colours do. i find that compared to my one i had in soft black smudges more than shimmery black. i really like shimmery black since it has more staying power. and you figure that since it has flecks of glitter in it, they would just kind of fall off during application and be a bother but no, they actually glide onto your lids real well and you can notice them after, its very pretty :) the only troubles is that i tend to loose the caps a lot. and if your eye pencil sharpener sucks, the eye liner crayon part kind of crumbles a lot in a clump stuck in the sharpener :P

Liquid -Physicians Formula - Mineral Wear Mineral Foundation
rated 4 of 5
dollfayce 7/28/2009 4:06:00 PM

i bought this foundation a while ago, and man did it last me a loooong time! the coverage is a medium, for me i guess since i have a lot of scarring and blemishes to cover first and then after i apply concealer. i like this product very much but i dont like having to pay about $13 for it? im pretty sure that how much i payed for it. i stray away from buying other products because im scared they will break me out, and i already have acne prone since. sucks because i didn't take off the really pointless and yucky sponge until now (after i read the reviews just now), after months of usage and i think the sponge kind of wastes the product since it gets all sucked up in the sponge. i apply with a brush and in a dabbing motion on the places i need more coverage, it has good pigmentation too ! the only bad things i could say is the sponge sucks, and its hard to get the last bits of the foundation out since i am running out and the tube is clear, but i can't seem to even see how much i have left. :( i have this in natural beige and i think it works great with my skin tone, i'm asian but slightly tanned. and i dont even think it broke me out.? unless my skin is just generally like that....still in my teen years. and i usually get pimples anyway..

Eyeliner -Bonne Bell - Eye Definer in Soft Black
rated 2 of 5
dollfayce 1/4/2009 6:00:00 AM

its an okay liner. but it will smudge, definitley! i use eye liner everyday. so i'm not that picky, though if it didnt smudge and bleed as easy as it does now, i would love it more. if you have oily skin, it will bleed and make you look like a raccoon, if you are wearing it during vigorous workouts.

Concealers -Physicians Formula - gentle Cover concealer(light)
rated 4 of 5
dollfayce 1/4/2009 5:56:00 AM

Overall, this concealer is pretty good. I mostly pay attention to the fact that it's non-comedogenic, (doesn't clog pores) since i have really oily AND acne prone skin, it never seems to get better so i might as well find the most "healthy" product for my skin. The shade matches perfectly. it blends well, and goes on well with or without makeup. I blend with a Q-tip, instead of my fingers because i need to blend precisely. The only thing i would complain about is that, it may run out faster for oilyskins since this kinda needs reapplying if the skin is touched a lot. ALSO, if you apply TOO much, along with a powder or more makeup, it may get to look a liiiiitle cakey.
