Emma Pickles on Youtube uses this and her skin is to die for. This is full coverage, has better oil control than even the gold standard Hourglass Immaculate or MUFE Mat Velvet, doesn't transfer and is long lasting on my uber oily skin. Shade 1W2 is a perfect match for NC25-30. Does not break out my sensitive acne-prone skin. Because it is opaque, using very little still renders a natural-looking velvet finish. I find this applies best with a stippling brush. Covers large pores, hyperpigmentation, redness. No complaints, simply a HG foundation for me, even after I've tried all those new so-called high tech foundations (and was not impressed). I've gotten numerous compliments on my "flawless" skin, even though it really isn't (large pores, oily, uneven, acne marks).
I actually don't use this as an eyeshadow, but as a contour color due to an ingenious suggestion from the MAC MUA. It mimics the hue of a natural shadow (shadows are more greyish than brown) and looks more natural than any bronzer I have tried. Gives me superb cheekbones. Please MAC never discontinue this!
Pressed Powders -Chanel - Poudre Universelle Compacte

Shade 20 Clair for my NC25-30 skin. I was looking for a sheer pressed powder for touchups. This mattifies, making my skin look poreless and radiant (due to very slight sheen of the powder). I like that it is not dead matte. Luxurious packaging typical of Chanel but the puff is really lacking. Overall a very beautiful, finely-milled powder that gives me a soft-focus glow (healthy and luminous; not oily).
Medium-fair yellow toned skin. This is the perfect contour color for me; better than bronzer which can be too orange. A matte greyish brown, this mimics the hue of natural shadows on the face and gives it more dimension. For the price and lasting quality, this will be a mainstay in my makeup bag.
Eyeliner -NARS - Larger Than Life Long-Wear Eyeliner - Via Veneto

I have oily lids but even with UDPP, this smudged onto my undereye area giving me raccoon eyes and also irritated my eyes. Back to K-palette 24-hour liquid liner I go.
This is $30 worth of magic light! My previous exposure to highlighters was via Nars Albatross, which is a powder but oddly enough, exacerbated the grease from my oily face. This one doesn't...it just remains a fresh, subtle, champagne candlelit glow that is so pretty on my cheekbones, and lasts through my mid-day blotting. This gives a nice sheen, not chunky tacky glitter. Don't use the spongetip to blend; use your fingers and pat it in...that way it won't mess up your makeup. Will repurchase as it's great for oily skin and is long-wearing.
Pros: - good lasting power on oily skin - good oil control - good shade range Cons: - not so good texture; makes my skin look a little 'grainy' - spf makes you look chalky in pictures - pools into patches at the end of the day in oilier parts ie. nose & forehead I could have lived with the cons above, considering this is the most long-lasting foundation I've tried, better than Guerlain's Parure Extreme and Estee Lauder Double Wear, and the shade was a perfect match, but one issue I could not overlook is that it broke me out all over.
This gorgeous taupe-brown is my go-to colour for the office everyday. Lasts and lasts without creasing, fading or smudging. Even with my ultra oily lids, I find I don't need to wear my UDPP under this, and officially certify MUFE aqua creams 'industrial strength'! Yet comes off easily with an oil-based remover. HG eyeshadow line! Just come up with more shades, please!
Eye Shadow -Make Up For Ever - Aqua cream - #2 Steel Taupe

I usually apply this as a base for my other aqua creams, or use this in conjunction with a different shade. This alone makes my medium-warm yellow-toned Asian skin look a bit sickly.
I have brown eyes, I find that maroon or red based eyeshadows typically make my eyes look bruised, but not this one, maybe because it has a bit more purply/brown undertones than red. Makes a great smokey eye. Lasts and lasts without creasing, fading or smudging. Even with my ultra oily lids, I find I don't need to wear my UDPP under this, and officially certify MUFE aqua creams 'industrial strength'! Yet comes off easily with an oil-based remover. LOVE THIS LIPSTICK!!! Sephora never you dare discontinue this! I have ultra sensitive lips that peel all the time. The problem is exacerbated by a lot of lip products I've tried, from high end to department to drugstore. Just when I thought I could only wear expensive Guerlain lippies, I tried this on a whim and surprised to note that my lips were not dried out. Yay for this $12 lipstick vs. $35+ Guerlain Rouge Automatique which I was using before. Texture is BUTTERY smooth, smells like yummy grape bubblegum and can be quite beautifully opaque against my pigmented lips ie. Rose Frival 06 which is a gorgeous raspberry, Poetic Pink 07 which is now my go-to medium pink. I returned Lilac Lyric 08 and Tender Rose 04, which were too sheer for my pigmented lips, but beautiful colours nonetheless. The shade range is very good. Packaging is a classy metallic case that looks expensive. Overall a great find which will encourage me to check out the rest of the line. HG for my sensitive lips!!
Top quality nail polish! Colours are saturated and matte, my favourite being Office. I would rather get bored of my nail colour sooner than them chipping on me, and not vice versa. This trooper outperforms, dare I say, OPI. I just hope they would add more shades.
Having tried so many foundations from high-end department store brands to drugstore to mineral makeup, I'm going to settle with this as my HG for now. Have been pleasantly surprised by GOSH's quality for a drugstore brand (check out their Intense Lip Colour lipglosses- amazing!). This foundation has very good coverage, very little goes a long way to cover uneven texture, enlarged pores and surface acne scarring (harsher dark circles and scars would need concealer). Finish is radiant, soft and matte. This has better oil control than Guerlain's Parure Extreme and about the same lasting power. I only have to blot twice during a typical 10-hour day and it still looks good at the end. The key to it not looking cakey is the application; I use MAC 187 which allows me to control coverage. Natural matches my light, yellow-toned skin.
This is my first foray into the GOSH cosmetics line and I'm pleasantly surprised by its superior quality for a drugstore brand. Packaging is cute and practical with a mirror on the side and a cap that lights on with a click. I LOVE this lipgloss!! The color payoff is amazing; opaque and creamy. Feels ultra comfortable on my lips. 301 is a milky baby pink, great with a smoky eye, but my favourite is 303, a blue-toned pink which is sooo pretty on and makes my teeth look whiter than they are. I have sensitive lips that respond badly to so many lip products. They are easily dried out and peel often. Not with this. I hope GOSH comes out with more shades!
Sunscreen -Peter Thomas Roth - Instant Mineral SPF 30

I have oily skin which gets oilier and breaks out at the hint of chemical or liquid sunscreen. That is why I opted for a physical powder sunscreen. Love that it's tinted, that way I don't get the ghastly white cast from the titanium oxide. The combo of zinc oxide and titanium oxide gives me UVA and UVB protection. The EWG site says that titanium dioxide could be dangerous if inhaled, so I unscrew the bottom cap, shake out a liberal amount in a jar cap and swish my lightly water-misted kabuki brush to apply. That way the water prevents a plume of powder from going up my nose. I find that this application gives me a nice even coverage and I can be positive that I'm putting on enough.
