Moisturizers -Olay - Fresh Effects Satin Finish Lotion
doORdye 3/10/2013 4:50:00 PM
I have been using this moisturizer for about a month and so far I really like it. It comes in a 1.7 oz pump bottle. It is a very light lotion and works great on my combination acne-prone skin. I don't imagine it would work well on dry skin. The lotion is a white, pearlescent color but when applied it does not have any kind of shimmer or color to it. It has a very primer feeling to it and works great under makeup. I have very acne prone skin and this does not break me out. I got it at target for $12.99 which is a little pricey for me, but I will repurchase! There are other products in this new "Fresh Effects" line that I'm interested in trying, hopefully trying those out soon.

Bronzers -Clinique - Almost Bronzer
doORdye 9/23/2012 2:33:00 PM
This is one of my favorite bronzers. My other favorite is Nars Laguna. I find that this one looks very similar to Laguna on my very fair skin, but the color payoff is much lighter. with Nars I barely have to swipe my brush in the powder. With this Clinique one, I really have to smush my brush into the product to get any color payoff. It doesn't really bother me, I just have to remind myself which technique to use with which product if I haven't used them in a while. My skin is very fair and I use shade 01 light/medium. It does have some shimmer just like Laguna does as well. the shimmer is a nice glow, not at all glittery. If you do not like shimmer then I would recommend MUFE Mat Bronze. That one is my go-to matte bronzer. I selected yes that I would buy it again, but if I had to choose only one, I would choose Nars over this one... so I probably will not repurchase. I only selected yes because overall I am happy with it, I'm just happier with Nars Laguna.

Concealers -Maybelline - Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circles
doORdye 9/23/2012 2:24:00 PM
I just bought this a few days ago, and it's pretty awesome. I'm actually really surprised how much I really like it. I thought the packagaing was pretty gimicky at first, but it's actually not! I do not try to blend with the sponge tip, I just apply it with the sponge and then pat/blend it in with my fingers. I use it on my undereye area, eyelids, as well as on breakouts and acne scars. the texture of this concealer is like nothing I've ever used before. it blends in and looks like SKIN instead of looking like you put concealer on. You can also let it dry and then apply another layer if you need more coverage and it still blends in and looks like skin, instead of looking like caked on concealer! I have shade Fair and it blends in perfectly to my skin. I have used it over my Dr. Jart BB cream as well as under (tried both ways to see if the finish was any different) and it works great either way. I set it under my eyes with MUFE HD powder and then MUFE duo mat powder foundation over the rest of my face and it looks really great. I will most likely repurchase, and now I'm pretty curious to try out the Age Rewind foundation... but I'll probably hold off for a while since right now I'm loving my BB cream.

Powder -Make Up For Ever - Duo Mat Powder foundation
doORdye 9/23/2012 2:17:00 PM
I got this about a week ago and I really like it! I wear it over my Dr. Jart BB cream and love the finish the two products together give. it is a medium to full coverage powder foundation. I apply it using a powder brush rather than the sponge that's included with it. I think the sponge would give it heavier coverage but it would also LOOK and feel heavier so that's why I don't use the sponge. I have acne prone skin and this has not caused me to break out. if I was going to break out, I would have already so I'm pretty confident this will not break me out. hopefully it lasts a while, it's on the expensive side... I'm planning on repurchasing because I do love it. but if it runs out quick, then I may not be able to repurchase. Also I have this in shade 200 and it matches my fair neutral skin very well.

BB Cream -Dr. Jart+ - Blemish Balm Cream (black label)
doORdye 9/23/2012 2:10:00 PM
This is my first ever BB cream and I LOVE it!! My skin has been breaking out so horribly for a few years now. I think it's hormonal but maybe its also from trying so many different products to try to clear it up, or cover it up... I got this about a week ago and have been using it every day. My skin is now 95% clear and my scars are lightening significantly! I had done a lot of research on BB creams and I saw a few I wanted to try out on amazon for pretty cheap. this one was at the top of my list and I knew that Sephora carried it. It is more expensive at sephora than it is on amazon. but the impulsive person that I am, I wanted it NOW, I did not want to wait for it to ship from Korea. Plus I figured it would be better to pay more and be able to return it in case it didn't work out. I think it was around $35. I've seen it online for about $26... so when I go to repurchase this, I will be ordering it online instead! The product itself: It actually has really good coverage while still looking natural. I do still use some concealer as well as powder foundation on top, but everything together looks so much more natural and my skin looks so much healthier than it did when I was using a full coverage foundation + concealer. Now normally sunscreens break me out, but this is not breaking me out at all! All in all, this is an amazing product and I love it. will definitely repurchase!

Cleansers -Clean & Clear - Morning Burst Facial Cleanser
doORdye 9/16/2012 11:42:00 AM
This is a first impression review. Also I purchased the Equate (Walmart) version. I used it mid day yesterday, last night, and this morning. and so far I really like it! I dont know why people are commenting that it's exfoliating or that the beads are harsh. The beads are nothing but there to look cool and draw your attention to the product to purchase it! they burst open (or maybe they just melt? I really don't know) as soon as you lather and become part of the cleanser. They really don't do anything at all. That being said, I like the feel of this cleanser. it has a cooling tingly feel that I really love. It's definitely great to use on an early morning to wake your face up. I have combination/oily/acne-prone skin and my skin did feel a bit dry and tight after using. So if you have dry skin, this probably would not be for you. I use moisturizer after, so it's no big deal to me to be a bit tight after cleansing. As I said, this is a first impression review. as of right now, I would say yes I would repurchase. but we'll see after I've used it for a few weeks!

Powder -Physicians Formula - Mineral Wear Talc-Free Mineral Airbrushing Pressed Powder SPF 30
doORdye 8/7/2012 12:35:00 AM
I have only been using this for a few days but so far I like it. I use it to set Maybelline Super Stay foundation. It does a great job setting the foundation, doesn't look too matte and not at all shiny. Just has a nice smooth finish. I'm not sure why some people are saying the Translucent shade looks dark... I have shade Creamy Natural which I would assume would be darker than Translucent. Well the shade I have does not add any color to me and I am pretty fair skinned. So if you are considering trying it but concerned about the color being too dark, I think you should try it because I'm not having any type of problems with that at all. Oh and as far as packaging, I think everyone else already mentioned the obvious: the compact itself is pretty big and bulky, but I don't carry it with me anywhere so it doesn't really bother me that much. The brush that comes with it is a joke tho! as long as this doesn't cause me any crazy breakouts then I will probably re-purchase.

Liquid -Maybelline - Super Stay Makeup
doORdye 8/7/2012 12:28:00 AM
I've only been using this for a few days but so far I like it. I've been using the Super Stay concealer for a while now and have been liking that, so I figured I should try the foundation out and see if it works for me. I purchased shade Porcelain Ivory (I'm pretty sure that's the lightest color) and its a great match for my very fair freckled skin. I use a dampened kabuki style brush to apply it and it blends in quite well. My skin is very broken out at the moment (it has been for months.. ugh..) and I find that this foundation helps hide the blemishes as well as completely cover scars. I think once my skin clears (hopefully sometime soon...) this foundation will look absolutely flawless! it looks great on the areas of my skin that are clear. I set this foundation with Physicians Formula Mineral Airbrushing pressed powder. the finish is very smooth and not too matte, but definitely not at all shiny. As long as this does not cause worse breakouts then I will re-purchase!

Concealers -Maybelline - Super Stay 24 Hour Concealer
doORdye 8/7/2012 12:20:00 AM
I bought this on a whim and ended up really liking it. it covers my undereye circles very well while also brightening up my whole eye area. I also use this to cover pimples. I find this to be very full coverage. it covers blemishes and scars very well. I have repurchased this a couple of times already... originally I purchased shade Ivory, but I thought it was actually too light. So I then purchased shade Cream, but I found this to be too dark and it looked pretty orange as well. so I then re-purchased Ivory and have been using it everyday ever since.

Skincare - Face -Clinique - Acne Solutions Line (all products)
doORdye 10/21/2010 2:36:00 PM
Wow. I have to say, for me, this stuff works! I've only been using it for one week, but in that one week it has definately helped clear my skin! I was hesitant to buy this because I really have tried just about everything out there. I tend to get big breakouts along my chin/jawline, and sometimes between my eyebrows. I have used Proactiv and it did work for me, for a while anyway. It seemed like after a while my skin stopped responding to Proactiv, so I was trying other things (just about everything from the drugstore, Murad, DDF, a cream my doctor had me try..). Anyway, on to Acne Solutions. I picked this up along with the Acne Solutions Liquid Foundation (which I am also liking a lot). Started using the system day and night as directed. I also have been using Clean & Clear sensitive skin cleanser to remove my makeup prior to using Acne Solutions. For two days I used just the 3 steps and right away it sucked the life out of my skin. My skin became SO DRY and tight. I got extremely dry and red/irritated patches under my jaw/neck. I'm not used to having dry skin, I usually have Oily-combination skin. I was thinking, oh no, this is not going to work. my skin was so dry and uncomfortable and makeup was looking horrible over it, dry, chalky, cakey. yuck. So when I bought the system I also recieved a GWP which included a small size Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion. So I decided I should try this lotion along with the 3 steps to combat the dryness. I was worried that this lotion might counter everything and make me break out even more, since it has mineral oil in it, and is not formulated for acne prone skin. But I have had NO problems with this moisturizer! For the last 5 days I have been using the lotion along with the system and daily my skin is looking better! my pimples are clearing up FAST, the lotion is keeping my skin comfortable, and my makeup looks much better when applied over the DDML. I think i'm going to have to purchase a full size lotion! I'm really surprised how much I like it. I marked that I will purchase this again, but I've been thinking that once I am done with the system i may want to try the regular 3 Step System instead of the Acne one. I'm thinking that maybe once my skin is in balance and cleared up, maybe I will be able to use something a bit less harsh and drying. But we shall see! I'll come back to update in a few weeks. I know this is a bit early to give such a positive review, but I really am amazed what it has done in just 1 weeks time! It is on the expensive side ($48 at Macy's), but I really feel like it is worth it! Give it a try, if it doesn't work for you, they offer a money back guarantee!

Liquid -Revlon - ColorStay Makeup
doORdye 8/30/2010 10:30:00 PM
Wow. I dont know why I didn't try this sooner! Well, actually the reason I never tried it before is because of how the majority of reviews say it sucks because there's no pump, it looks thick and cakey, it's hard to blend, and people have breakout issues. I have to say, I do not agree with any of that! It really doesn't bother me that there is no pump. I find that it actually looks very smooth and natural on me. I have no problems blending it, I actually apply it with my fingers and it blends in beautifully! I've been using it for almost 2 weeks and have not broken out. With my skin, if something is going to irritate it, it would have happened within 2 days. I use the shade 180 Sand Beige. I set it with Too Faced Primed and Poreless loose powder. Also, I use the Combination/Oily version. I find that it helps control oil VERY well. Much better than any foundation or primer I've tried in the last 5 years. Speaking of primers, I do not use one. I use Olay Beauty Fluid in the sensitive version under this. The coverage is really great, I have a few dark spots (post acne marks) on my chin that need covering and this works very well while still looking natural. It does help disguise blemishes, but I still use concealer if I have any blemishes that are really red. Overall, right now I am loving this, and I will continue to purchase!

Concealers -MAC - Select Moisturecover
doORdye 8/20/2010 3:27:00 PM
So I've only been using this for a couple days now but I have to say it is the best undereye concealer I have ever used! I don't know why I never tried it before. I've tried sooo many drugstore concealers from neutrogena, revlon, covergirl, maybelline.... none of them worked as well as this. The girl at MAC matched me to NW20, it blends in perfectly and covers my blue/gray circles very well. I've also used it on blemishes and it helps disguise them... they dont' disappear completely, but its enough for me. It lasts all day long, does not change color, does not cake or crease. I set it with Too Faced Primed & Poreless loose powder. Will definately be repurchasing!

Conditioner -TiGi - Headshot Reconstructive Intense Conditioner
doORdye 1/11/2010 11:01:00 PM
I LOVE this conditioner as well as the shampoo. I've been using it for about a month or so on my recently lightened (& damaged!) hair and I feel like it makes my hair much softer and stronger than if I was using anything else. it has the same tingly feeling that the shampoo has. it conditions my dry damaged hair really well! I'll definately repurchase!

Powder -MAC - Mineralize Skinfinish Natural in Light Medium [DISCONTINUED]
doORdye 12/9/2009 9:17:00 PM
Oh my gosh I am absolutely loving this! I've never been a huge fan of MAC. I tried Studio Fix years ago and it broke me out horribly, so I've stayed away since then. Well I went to MAC planning on just buying a lipstick (Viva Glam V, the one and only MAC product i've continually purchased) But while there I decided to give MSFN a try. The girl matched me to Light Medium. At first I was worried it might be too dark because I tend to be the lightest shade in most foundations. But Light Medium actually works out for me. She had applied it for me by spraying her brush with Fix+ and then buffing it on. She told me it works better that way. Well I don't agree, but unfortunately because she told me that I also bought Fix+ and now I really dont see a need for it! The next day when I applied it myself I did it the same way she did but I really didn't like how it looked. So the day after I applied it without Fix+. I used an EDM kabuki brush and just buffed it on lightly. I REALLY like the way this looks! Super natural. Not cakey AT ALL. Just lightly buffs away uneven skintone and redness. I do use concealer underneath for undereye circles and some blemishes. This powder has not caused any breakouts! Major points for that one! As long as all continues to go well then I will definately continue to repurchase. Oh also I like to put MUFE HD powder over this just on my forehead and nose. It helps for later in the day when I start to get shiny, it cuts that shine better than if I just wear MSFN alone.
