Conditioner -Aussie - Hair Insurance Leave In Conditioner
dmartin 7/17/2005 8:29:00 AM
This is the leave-in that changed my mind about them! I have fine, thick, colored hair down to my bra strap, and a few sprays of this worked thru my freshly washed hair gives me lots of body and shine, without weighing my hair down. It also seems to make it thicker, and has lots of good ingredients. I can go two days without washing and still have my hair feel good and not be limp. The scent dissipates quickly (though I don't find it objectionable)and the price is right. I love that I can save a step in the shower now. It *is* possible to have conditioned and detangled hair that isn't too soft ( a problem I have always had with rinse-outs). Definite repurchase.
Polishes -Rimmel - 60 Second Nail Polish in Big Night Out

Now *THIS* is a toenail polish!!!! Gorgeous bright orangy red with golden shimmer that definitely screams "look at my feet!!!!" Lasts a decent amount of time too....that being said,I always use basecoat and topcoat. Love the price...$1.89 at Walmart. I can buy a bottle of Rimmel polish anytime I need a cheap makeup fix and not feel guilty in the least.

Goes on streaky and 2 coats even won't cover. The color is really off too-a pale pink that looks kind of sick,at least on my toes. Ugh.
Polishes -Rimmel - Lasting finish nail polish in Pure Sin

This is a kind of boring light blue based pink that looks too matte when dry, even after 2 coats with a topcoat(I only paint my toenails)... I will use it for when I am needing a very demure look. Won't re-purchse,either. *Yawn*
Cleansers -Olay - Total Effects Age Defying Wet Cleansing Cloths
dmartin 7/12/2005 8:17:00 AM
Love these! I have re-purchased them many times...I first bought them in anticipation of a hospital surgical stay,so that I would at least have a fresh clean face when I wanted without trying to get to the sink. Aftre I got home,I discovered they are wonderful makeup removers, don't sting the eyes, leave my skin totally clean AND soft, and are great for a pick me up while traveling. I even use them on the nights I am too tired to do my bedtime face routine. I even got my two daughters using them. I hope they always make these.
Cleansers -Olay - Daily Facials Intensives Lathering Pillows

I agree with the others....WHERE'S THE LATHER?!?!?! I bought a package of these on clearance for 2.09,plus I had a 1.00 off coupon. $1.09 is about all these are worth,as I use them as disposable Buf-Pufs- I add my own favorite lathering cleanser. If I had paid full price for these,I would have been super p!ssed. I know why they are on clearance.
This is a nice enough mascara-I love that it comes in Dark Brown. Not all of us PPP redheads use black mascara! Pretty much lives up to it's claim of not clumping, and it doesn't flake off under my eyes either. It thickens ok,I expected a bit more. I do use two coats, combing between them, altho one would be sufficient. Washes off easily with my face wash and is non irritating. Standard brush.Still searching for the HG mascara of my life, but this one is good enough in the meantime.
Bronzers -Physicians Formula - Solar Powder SPF 20 Bronzer

I bought this in 'Light'...while it was a bit pricey ($11.00) I do like it. I am PPP but have a bit of color by using facial self tanner. This looks very natural and not a bit or orangey or dirty look to it. If there's shimmer,it's very subtle...there's 3 shades of color in the pan that you swirl together. The brush it comes with is ok for quick touchups on the run,but I prefer using a big fluffy powder brush.
Polishes -Sally Hansen - Diamond Strength - Sunrise Sunset
dmartin 7/4/2005 1:57:00 PM
Very nice polish for toenails at an equally nice price. Sunrise/Sunset is a pretty coral with slight shimmer that looks great in bright light or indoors. Corals can get kind of 'garish' very fast, but this shade is not too bright and not too quiet...it's just right! Plus the wear of it is superb,I usually get re-growth at the base of my nail before I ever see a chip. I always use top/base coat with this,as any polish.
Treatments (Eye) -Neutrogena - Radiance Boost Eye Cream
dmartin 6/10/2005 7:04:00 AM
This actually gets a negative 1 rating. The *STENCH*....What. The Hell. ?!?!?!? Gross beyond belief. I can't even use it long enough to see if I get results with it,I just can't deal with the odor. What a shame....as I usually like Neutrogena products.
Lotions/ Creams -Perlier - Honey and Glycerin Hand Cream
dmartin 6/5/2005 10:59:00 AM
Everything about this hand creme is 'meh'...glad I only paid 5 bucks for it at TJ MAxx(altho I think I overpaid by about 3 bucks!). Doesn't really moisturize, and it's sticky. The scent is a true honey tho, that's what kept me from giving it only one lippie. This is not worth full price!!!
Lotions/ Creams -Dove - Intensive Nourishing Lotion
dmartin 5/28/2005 11:06:00 AM
This would be a nice lotion if it weren't for the hairspray smell! Where did they get that from?!?! Yuck. The shea butter beads are a nice touch. But they do not justify the stench. Sorry,Dove-do something else with the scent and I will buy it again.
Love everything about this-from the light, fresh scent,to the texture, the way it sinks in your skin and leaves it truly moisturized a long time. This is becoming a staple in my bathroom.
The product description says 'clear, medium hold styling gel. apply to damp hair, and either blow dry or air dry.' It's an ok gel, nothing that special. Kenra sent me a generous sample of it. It does seem to give a bit of hold, bounce, and lift to a blow dry style, and I sometimes finish off with a curling iron. It is lightly scented(does not interfere with other scent you may be wearing),and does not flake off. It seems a bit sticky upon application, but then you are able to run a wide toothed comb thru it with ease. If this were not so expen$ive,I would re purchase....but as it is, Pantene does a *whispers* better job for a much cheaper price.
I feel like an ungrateful hag for giving this a negative review after Kenra so generously sent me a ton of free samples....but,this shampoo is nothing special at all. I love my Pantene Red Expressions so much more than this. Sorry.
