I have really tried to like this product (cause I really like so many of DHC's products), but this one just does not do much for me. My main problems are puffiness in the morning and hereditary dark circles. Well - it does nothing for the dark circles, but not much really does (although I have had some lightening with DHC's Q10 eye cream). It does have some effect on the puffiness - but that it about all. Also, I use it in the morning and I find that it stays tacky/sticky for a short time. This does not help when trying to get ready in the morning. So far, I have found the best depuffer to be 100% Pure's coffee undereye cream. But this may work for some people out there. However, on the bright side, I have never had any adverse reactions from this gel.

Primer/ Corrector -DHC - Velvet Skin Coat

I had never used a primer, or even knew that there was such a thing as a primer to use before makeup, until I tried this product. When I first tried a sample - I thought it had a strange consistency and did not see how this could assist with makeup application - but noticed that my makeup had more staying power and went on more evenly than before. However, I still thought it was just an extra expense - and did not purchase any after my sample ran out. Then came the summer and the humidity - and wondered if there was anything out there that could keep my face from wilting in the heat and being so shiny with oil by midday. I tried other products out there (including highly touted primers) that promised many things, but nothing worked well (it either smelled bad, broke me out, irritated my skin, or just felt heavy). Then I remembered the velvet skin coat and decided to splurge on a regular tube size. This stuff is the best - I can now not do without this - I keep one tube in my travel bags (since I travel for work) and I keep another at home in my make-up bag. It is absolutely the best primer out there - at least for me!!

Skincare - Face -DHC - Acerola Lotion (toner)

This has to be my favorite toner that DHC makes - it is never greasy or leaves a film (like the mild lotion does - not my favorite). I always use this at night after cleansing my face. However, I never use a cotton pad to apply or use it by itself. I typically shake some in my hand, then add a small dollop of the acerola gel (or the silver nanocolloid milky essence), and then rub all over my face. During the summer, the above is my usual ritual every night. However, during the winter, I add a drop of the virgin olive oil to the mixture in my hand before rubbing all over my face (which gives me the extra hydration I need). I just love so many of the products from DHC - they are so customizable. I feel like a chemist putting products together and experimenting until it is just right for my face.

Cleansers -DHC - DHC Cleansing Milk

I have tried this cleansing milk (DHC's version of a cold cream make-up remover) - and compared to other cold creams out there - it works decently at removing make-up. It is not as good, in my opinion as the mild touch cleansing oil (DHC's latest oil for make-up removal that I am totally WILD about) - but it does the job. It feels wonderful going on (sort of a milky texture) and I always wipe it off with a Pond's clean sweep make-up remover cloth (to ensure all of the make-up comes off without an extra cleansing step). It leaves my face soft, clean & hydrated - but I think it would be better for the winter. I feel like it will leave my face too moisturized for the summer months - but I will probably revisit this during winter when my face needs the extra hydration.

Treatments -DHC - Platinum Silver Nanocolloid Milky Essence

I had avoided this product for awhile - only getting samples to try now and then. I just thought what could platinum and silver nanocolloids really do anyway for facial skin? I was also concerned that I might react badly - since my fair skin can sometimes be very sensitive. But I finally broke down and bought this during the current sale - and all I can say is "WOW". I use this at night after cleansing my face with mild touch cleansing oil and toning with ascerola lotion (toner) - both by DHC as well. My skin has never looked so good - no breakouts, pores are smaller - my skin is absolutely ethereal. This will be perfect for the hot, humid summer. When winter comes, I may just add a drop of DHC's olive oil to it or splurge for DHC's platinum silver nanocolloid cream. Either way - I could not be more pleased!!

Cleansers -DHC - Mild Touch Cleansing Oil

Love this new cleansing oil - and I did not think it was possible. I was previously devoted to the deep cleansing oil - but I have to say that this is better. I did my own test between the deep cleansing oil and this mild touch cleansing oil. In my experiment, I smeared waterproof mascara, water resistant lip stain, and a waterproof/smudgeproof eyeliner on different sections of my arm. After rubbing in both oils separately, I then used a Pond's exfoliating make-up remover cloth each time to wipe off the product (just like I would normally do to my face). There was still some mascara granules & lip stain left with the deep cleansing oil. But the mild touch oil removed everything with very little wiping needed. I have also noticed since using the mild touch that my skin seems more luminescent and softer - but not oilier. My make-up looks even better and more even when applied than before (of course I also use DHC's velvet skin coat first - the best primer ever). I am so pleased with this new oil - I plan to stock up while it's on sale - it will be great for this summer!!!

Eye Shadow -L'Oreal - Wear Infinite Eye Shadow Single

I got this product in SABLE. And though I agree it takes several applications to get enough product on the lid for the right amount of color, it is a nice shade for my coloring (ivory skin w/peachy undertones and dark brownish-blond hair) and does not crease. I am still searching for my HG eyeshadow, but this works and is cheap to boot. Currently, my favorite eyeshadow is the Princess Livia two plus two eyeshadow collection in soft buff tones (through Cosmetique).

Eyeliner -Almay - Amazing Lasting Eye Pencil

Here is my HG eyeliner! I had tried so many and almost gave up when I found this (I just hope Almay never stops making it). I use definite brown (it goes best with my coloring - ivory complexion & dark blond hair). It goes on smoothly (no tugging) and stays in place most of the day (at least 8-10 hours, not the 16 hours touted on the tube). But that's all I need. The only complaint I have is the packaging - it would be nice if their was a built-in sharpener when you roll the tube up for more product. But for the price, it is hard to beat.

Powder -Cover Girl - Simply Powder Foundation

Absolutely the best powder foundation I have ever worn (my HG)! I am very light-skinned and do well with classic ivory. I am 41 years old and gets lots of compliments on my complexion when I wear a little concealer and this as my foundation for everyday wear. For night-time wear, however, this would not be enough coverage. But cannot be beat for the day time.

Fragrances -Coty - Sand & Sable

As most reviewers, I started wearing this fragrance in high school and throughout college. I always got lots of compliments and my husband said he loved the way it smelled on me (and he doesn't like most perfumes). Later on in my life, I began trying the newer fragrances and no compliments (and my husband complained that he missed the scent that always reminded him of me). So I started buying this fragrance again in my late 30's. As expected, the compliments began again and my husband is happy. What can I say - my HG fragrance! I will buy nothing else.
