Shampoo -Unlisted Brand - Generic Value Products Hydrating Shampoo (compare to Biolage)

Not sure why this got good reviews. It is drying as heck, even my cheap Sauve clarifying shampoo is not this drying. I've used Biolage shampoo before and I don't remember it being drying. After shampooing with this I noticed my hair felt like straw and all knotted up. No good, going back.

Concealers -Maybelline - Super Stay 24 Hour Concealer

This got good reviews on here and youtube when it first came out. However, this is a horrible foundation. Hard to spread and looks cheap on. Color selection is poor, drying, no oil control, looks flat. If you have dry skin, it will not look nice. I don't know what else to say other than cheap, cheap, cheap. The price is a little steep for the quality. I rather put in double the money to get a high end foundation or get the revlon colorstay. I've tried lots of foundation (MUFE, MAC, BB, Chanel, Revlon, Neutrogena, Smashbox, Korres, Cargo, etc. ) and this is worst one.

Powder -Everyday Minerals - Pressed Powder in Fairly Light Golden
rated 4 of 5

EDM seems to break me out in the summer months but I think I would break out using any makeup in the summer. I used to use the powder version but I am loving this pressed powder. It seems to hold up a lot longer than the powder which melted off by the end of the day. I used the Light matte powder before which was slightly light on me but this pressed powder is a little more yellow and I find it a better match for me. The one problem I have with this is it's not very hygienic. In the beginning I dipped my brush into the powder every time I use it without even thinking that I could be contaminating the whole powder. My breakouts could have been from this, not sure. Now, I wipe the powder with a tissue after every use but that's a waste of product! Also, I used to spritz water onto my brush before dipping into the powder, this may have contributed to bacterial growth in the powder. Now I don't apply it wet anymore and plus I find that this powder works best when applied dried (held up longer and less cakey). I love this pressed powder wayyy better than the loose version but I break out easily so I am debating on whether I should repurchase. Maybe I'll try scrapping some off each time I use it but then that would make it a loose powder so there's no point there. Anyway, I'll update if that method changes the way the powder looks on me.

Misc Beauty Tools -Unlisted Brand - Zeno
rated 1 of 5
dionne 8/22/2008 11:50:00 PM

I had these clogged pores that resulted in tiny bumps on my face. From past experiences, these bumps take forever to go away (without ever becoming pimples/zits) so I figured I'd give Zeno a try since they claimed that it works best for bumps that have not progressed into full blown pimples. Anyway, I used it religiously for 2 days with 3 treatments each day. After the second day, my face broke out into cystic acne only on the spots I treated with the Zeno. I thought that the Zeno was supposed to prevent the spots from becoming pimples. Anyway, I deeply regret using the zeno, now I'm stuck with eight painful, gigantic cysts on my face. This thing sucks...save your money and get neutrogena advanced complete acne therapy which I am using now to treat the acne I've developed from using zeno. It's working great for me, I wish I had initially bought this instead of that stupid zeno.

Makeup Brushes -Everyday Minerals - New Flat Top Brush
rated 3 of 5
dionne 8/2/2008 12:47:00 AM

Ok, so after a year using this baby, it finally broke! Both the handle and the hairs fell out. I think I could get another 2 months out of this brush if I really tried. Anyway, I was so sad since it was one of the best brushes I've used. It applied beautifully but heavily and if you're not careful, it could get a little caky. Although this was a good brush, I don't think I will be repurchasing due to the fact that I have to fork out 10 bucks a year or sooner than that. I'll try my luck with a more expensive brush that could last. If anyone know of a better alternative please let me know. Thanks!!!

Hair -Unlisted Brand - Coconut Oil
rated 1 of 5
dionne 7/31/2008 10:31:00 PM

The 1st time I used it on my hair I had great results. My hair was full and smooth and soft. However, on my 2nd and 3rd time, my hair became dry, tangly, heavy, crispy...just awful. I don't know what went wrong, perhaps, I will be using it once a week and not everyday as I did my 1st 3 times. I use the oil on my body now and it works great; I love the smell of coconut oil but my bf hates it, luckily, the smell goes away after 30 mins.

Foundations -Sally Hansen - Inspired By Carmindy Natural Beauty Your Skin Makeup ] [DISCONTINUED]
rated 4 of 5

This achieved a beautiful finish along with the neutralizing pressed powder. I have not tried this with other powders or alone but sally hansen pressed powder is awesome. You must remember to use a light hand with this because anything more than a pump of product will be heavy and cakey. For me, half a pump is enough to cover the face; coverage is medium. I wore this from 10am-11:30 pm and it did not get too oily, a little blotting helps. However, after one day of using it, I immediately developed 2 whiteheads. I heard that this is not oil-free so if you are acne prone...be careful. I will not use this on a daily basis but will save it for weekends and going out. The finish is truly beautiful. I have used MUFE (matte velvet and face, body), chanel, EL double wear makeup, MAC studiofix, Boots Radiance Glow, Maybelline True makeup, Smashbox, GA, bare escentuals, and Covergirl TM. I am liking this more than any of those....But Im still testing it out.. I will update

Tinted Moisturizer -Cover Girl - Advanced Radiance Age-Defying Sheer Moisturizing Makeup [DISCONTINUED]
rated 3 of 5
dionne 1/15/2008 9:04:00 PM

This goes on thick but spreadable. I also brush a little mineral powder on top and then some loose powder to seal it. Even with all that this cannot hold up. After a few hours, my makeup seems to be melting off my face. Until I can find a way to prolong the wear, I will not buy this again. But this is indeed a whole lot better than neutrogena and stila tinted moisturizer.

Styling Products -TRESemme - tres two extra hold hairspray
rated 5 of 5
dionne 1/15/2008 8:38:00 PM

This is my new fav hairspray. I previously used Rusk weightless which I thought was great. But Tres two is sooooo much better. This holds my curls without any stiffness, in fact it even made them even softer. I usually try to not touch or lay on my hair after I hairspray them, but with tres two I can do anything and my curls would still be in shape. It smells good too unlike Rusk. A+ !!

Moisturizers -Unlisted Brand - Merlot - Face Cream grape seed spf 15
rated 4 of 5
dionne 12/16/2007 9:17:00 PM

This is a very light lotion. If you have dry skin, this alone would not do it for you. I've been using this every morning for 2 weeks now and I like it a lot. It is not heavy so it is perfect for undermakeup. However, I have yet to see any difference in my skin. Not sure if it's because I only use it once a day. I wouldn't use it as a night cream because it has spf which might clog my pores at night. I've been using it in the morning with no problems with breakouts. Overall, good product. I will update if I see improvements in my skin from the grapeseed

Blush -Everyday Minerals - Light Pink
rated 5 of 5
dionne 10/19/2007 3:46:00 AM

I use it as a highlighter... beautiful! It wakes up my skin and adds more dimension instead of a flat look. But be careful not to use too much or you'll risk looking overly pink and drunk

Blush -Everyday Minerals - Daydream
rated 5 of 5
dionne 10/19/2007 3:42:00 AM

This is the best blush for me. I've used apple, siesta, plum dust, waffle cone. This is the same color as waffle cone from the container but when I appiedy daydream, it gave me a glow. Whereas waffle cone is more dry. This is a nude, earthy, brownish(if you apply it heavily) color. I use this everyday in replacement of all the colors above. LOve it....

Powder -Everyday Minerals - Foundation Matte Formula
rated 2 of 5
dionne 10/19/2007 3:35:00 AM

UPDATE: I have been a faithful customer for years, BUT I have no idea what happened. I have read that they have changed the formula, but I'm not sure. I stopped using this almost a year now. The powder was chalky, made my face look flat, and worst of all made me BREAKOUT! I remember switching to this when I was breaking out from liquid foundations. It DID wonders for me and helped me cleared up. But now I'm going back to other makeup because this broke me out sooo badly. It clogged up my pores and those suckers took forever to surface into zits which sadly felt me with a bunch of scars now. Would never buy this again!!! This powder gives me the appearance of nice skin everytime. It's all about the application. I have some pink, brown scars and this covers all of it. No need for concealer! Although, the amount doesn't seem to last as long as the Intensive. I used less product w/ the Intensive. But I like the look of matte more which is less oily, so I will definately buy again.

Blush -Everyday Minerals - Plum Dust Blush
rated 1 of 5
dionne 3/31/2007 12:27:00 AM

If you are fair or light skinned stay away from this color. It made me look like a clown, no matter how light I tried to apply it. The color is reddish and not at all flattering. I bought this and apple and they are very very similar colors except apple is not as intense and is lighter (but if you layer apple you would ger plum dust). I was dissappointed because I wasted money buying practically the same colors. I was expecting a shade of purple but it's just straight red. If you like this color it is more safe to pick apple instead
