Skincare - Body -Estee Lauder - Bronze Goddess Body Oil Spray
didiss 6/28/2008 6:28:00 PM
I LOVE the skinscent, so I thought this would be great too. I wanted to wear it when I was going out in the evening to complement the skinscent. When I first put it on it smells so buttery and good. I have used it twise, that's all. I have to say that the bottle is pretty big 3.4 fl oz. The oil comes ot with a spray and that is awesome. No more spilled oil on the counter or anywhere else. This oil is not cheap, but for the amount, and the EL label, it is not bad. I think I paid a bit less than $30. It will last a long time as you need a little bit. I am undecided on buying it again. I will try it again a couple more times and I will see. It is a limited edition, so I don't have alot of time left. I wanted to add the EL website description for it: " A sensuous, sun-drenched blend of Bergamot and Mandarin, cooled with Tahitian Gardenia Petals and Coconut, warmed with Amber, Sandalwood and Vetiver." The oil itself is great not too oily just right on. It last a long time, about 5-6 hours. I think I will probably buy one more bottle, I will just put it in the fridge to keep longer.

Skincare - Body -Unlisted Brand - Monoi de Tahiti oil
didiss 6/28/2008 5:08:00 PM
Ok, I read all the reviews here about this oil and went online and got the original Monoi de Tahiti Tiare. That was a mistake on my part! Let me start with the good stuff about it. As far as oil goes this is great. It is not greasy not heavy, just right. This oil makes your skin glisten, in a good way. It is cheap to me. I bought it for $7.95 online. But boy about that smell. I can not stand it. It smells rancid or something. It is soooooo sweet, almost sickening. It made my eyes water.Way too flowery and heavy. It reminds of an old lady. I do have to admit that after about 20 min or so the smell changes to something more tolerable, but I can not wait for that. I read that the coconut version is alot better, but I just don't want to waste my money. I have read alot of good uses for it, for hair treatments, bath, massage, ect. I just can't deal with the smell. The oil comes in a bottle with a wide mouth, so alot comes out at one time. Just like somebody else had written before me, it is natural for it to solidify below 72F, but that is no big deal, just put it under hot water for a bit. I think I'm going to have to try to swap this because nobody in my family wants it, even as a gift.

Fragrances -Estee Lauder - Azuree Soleil Skinscent Atomizer
didiss 6/12/2008 10:52:00 PM
EDIT:Oh this is heaven to me. I love love love it. I have bought every bottle within 50 mi radius. I am sold for life. I believe that people here have described this fragrance very well. I have purchased both Azuree and Bronze Goddes. I am in love with this scent. It does not last very long on your skin, but I always spray my perfume behind my ears in my hair. This makes everything last longer on me. When I do that I can smell the coconut when I let my hair down after work. I think that is pretty good for a skinscent.I have walked through all the mall and Ulta stores to buy this. I am not a fan of florals but this is amazing to me. Both of the fragrances smell almost identical, except that Azuree is more subtle in the begining. I hope one of these sticks around, because I am running out of places to find them anymore, being that both are limited edition. By the way I love this bottle, it is very clean and classic.

Eye Shadow -Chanel - Demure
didiss 5/15/2008 7:39:00 PM
Ok, I was waiting to decide if I love this quad or if it is just "ok" and very expensive. I was looking for everyday shadow quad that was pretty and long lasting. I buy alot of Chanel...., so that was the first counter I went to. The sa recommended these, even though I was looking at a different set. She said that they would look great on me. So I walked out with them. The price was hefty ($55) but I usually buy their liquid eyeshadow that is $30 for one shade. I tried them the next day and it looked ok.I didn't wear them for a while after that, but here lately this is all I wear. So simple, clean, not sparkly, just soft shimmer. I LOVE THIS QUAD. You can not go wrong with it. These shadows blend extremely easy. I normally wear the lightest color on my brow bone, the pinkish color in the middle and the matte brown in the crease. I'm not gonna describe the colors because other reviewers have already done that pretty good. The packaging is great, compact with a large mirror, the shadows are not running all over the compact either like some others I have had. The compact comes in a little velvet pouch( I guess all that comes at a price, haha). The only complaint I have are the little aplicators.... come on, $55 and they are so cheaply made. But that is not going to stop me from repurchasing this again. If you are interested in looking at this quad I recommend to go in the store, because online the colors suck. They are so different and untrue. Oh by the way this is not a LE it is here to stay.

Mascara -Estee Lauder - Illusionist Mascara
didiss 5/15/2008 7:14:00 PM
I have used this mascara before and it was ok, but this time around it's not that good. It costs about $22 and has good color and ok package. It does curl my very long lashes, but it smears under my bottom lashes. Before mid-afternoon I have to wipe my eyes and it kind of leaves little black specks around. Oh and just so you don't think I'm crazy I don't put mascara on my bottom lashes. Never have, it just seems too much to me. I'm going back to my Chanel Inimitable, just works better for me.

Powder -Laura Mercier - Mineral Powder SPF 15
didiss 5/7/2008 9:22:00 PM
I wanted to wear mineral makeup soooo bad,so I went and bought this powder. I will start with the positives. The jar that it came in is a heck of a lot better than the BE one. I purchased the Real Sand color, it was very close to my skintone.( I think that was the name of the color). This powder covered my red cheeks good, but boy did I claw my face to death after I put it on! My face itched and was red and irritated after I took it off. After this I researched mineral makeup, and found that it is not that natural and you should definately NOT sleep in it. It containes bismuth oxychloride.I don't think I want any chloride around my face.I'm not sure if I am allergic to it or what, but I returned it to Sephora. This powder is quite expensive- $35. I assume it will last for some time, but it is not worth it to me. The color collection is not very extensive, i think I counted about 5-7 different shades. I am used to having a very difficult time matching my face and neck due to my olive undertone.

Moisturizers -Clinique - Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion
didiss 5/7/2008 8:50:00 PM
I was looking for a simple moisturizer for my combination skin, one that did not make it more oily. I asked the sa at the Clinique counter and she said this would be the best. I thought I should get the gel, but she insisted on this lotion, because of my normal/dry cheeks.Well.... this lotion broke me out, and it took me about a month to get my skin back to normal. The lotion does not smell good, feels heavy and oily. It comes in a pump bottle and that is good, but that is as far as it goes for me. I will not repurchase. I have moved on to Estee Lauder Daywear plus and Advanced Night Repair, since Chanel discontinued my Age Delay

Treatments -Estee Lauder - Advanced Night Repair (Serum)
didiss 5/7/2008 11:18:00 AM
I have been using this for about a month straight now. I have combo skin, and I have to say that I love this serum. I don't know if it really prevents lines and wrinkles, since I don't really have them, but when I wake up it feels like I have baby soft skin. I have an issue with redness around my cheeks, and this is definately making it go away. It looks to me like my skin is getting less irritated too. I haven't had any brakeouts since I started using it. I know it is a little expensive( US $47 for 1oz) but I will definately repurchase. I have used it before but I didn't think it did much for me, probably because I didn't use it like I was supposed to. As far as the wrinkle prevention goes, is there anything that makes them go away? I think that this will slow them down a tiny bit, but that would probably be due to good moiturization. I love this product and if you guys have time go and ask the EL counter for a sample. It is always better to try before you spend that kind of money. Oh by the way this is not supposed to substitute your moisturizer, it is a serum. So if you have dry skin you will definately need something after it, to moisturize good. As far as packaging goes, I think it is neat and sanitary.

Eye Primer -Too Faced - Shadow Insurance, Anti-Crease Eye Shadow Primer
didiss 4/20/2008 2:50:00 PM
I bought this about 2 weeks ago. I have been using it every day, and I love it. I have purchased some of the best eyeshadows, expensive and nothing would ever last on me.I assume my lids are very oily or something similar. I put it on early in the morning, and my shadow is still on when i get off work around 5. This works great with all of my shadows. So far I have tried it with my Chanel, EL, and Bare Minerals. I have not used it with the drugstore brand yet. I am not trying to sound conceded, but most people have no issues with the department store brands, so I kind of expected the shadow insurance to work great with them. I have not gotten any dry eye issues or milia from this yet.... If I run into something I will definately update. As far as the product goes it does not smell, it has some kind of oil that came out when i first opened it,but it was ok. I purchased it from Sephora for about $17. It is worth it to me. I will definately repurchase. Oh, by the way i read all the reviews on eyeshadow insurance and UDPP and I have to say that I can see how the "genie" bottle can be an issue. The bottle on the Too Faced product is very easy to use and hygenic. I love this product. If I wanted to I could even wear it alone. It gives your eyes a soft matte finish.
