Treatments -Unlisted Brand - IFP - Pretty Amazing 5% BHA liquid
dg1873 7/22/2008 10:52:00 PM
This 5% BHA is notably gentler than comparable strength BHA products I have used. Most have an alcohol base than dries my skin terribly, making it unusable except for spot treatment. I can use this product all over for multiple consecutive days with no irritation. And it seems just as effective as the harsher BHAs I have tried. I switch days using this with the IFP 5% BHA/10% AHA. Edited to add: Although I do know the IFP owner through a website we both frequent, I have used her products since 2006 (from for less time since they are newer) and *really* like them. Like all other skincare products, they don't all work for me and some work better than others. I have posted extremely positive reviews for those that I use regularly and love. Several of her products (her Gentle Cleanser, BHAs and AHAs) are hands down better for my skin than the MANY others I have tried. They are also less expensive than many of the other brands I've tried. She does use essential oils, which (like any other ingredient that can go into skincare products) may not do well on all skin types -- my skin loves them. She also has less sophisticated packaging than other brands, which I could personally care less about; that said, the packaging works well, it just might not look fantabulous.

Treatments -Unlisted Brand - IFP - Pretty Amazing Plus 5% BHA/10% AHA liquid

LOVE this product. You relaly need to work your way up to using it--especially those with sensitive skin like me. But after about a month of use, I could apply and leave on all night a few times a week. I *love* that I get the resuts of AHA and BHA with one application. I also just love what it does for my skin as far as brightening, with fewer side effects than less effective acids. It feels like it has moiturizing tendencies rather than drying ones. This will be part of my routine for a long time.. Very light and nice. .. I use this to "set" mineral makeup or blush, and also to moisten oils or my pearlfection cream. Treatments -Unlisted Brand - I Feel Pretty - Pretty As Can Be Healing Serum

Love this! Been using it for a couple years I believe and I have great luck with it. I'm not horribly breakout prone, but I have never been able to use OTC spot treatments because they are too drying and harsh. This treatment is PERFECT and very effective--moreso than most of the drying treatments I have tried. The only rival for it is a high % BHA, but that can also be more irritating. LOVE IT! Treatments -Unlisted Brand - I Feel Pretty - Pearlfection Mattifying Cream
dg1873 10/9/2007 3:26:00 PM
I use this product daily and am very happy with it. It is slightly moisturizing (enough that I can use it as a moisturizer/mattifier for daily use), but does a great job ok keeping my oily skin more matte throughout the day---without leaving a visible or touchable film like so many mattifiers. I have read information re: the positive effects of pearl powder, one of which is its clarifying properties. I have been using this product for about 6 mos. now and I was just noticing the other day that for the last 3-4 I have had noticeably fewer breakouts. I've never had a lot, but it appears that this has helped me maintain better skin more consistently. Treatments -Unlisted Brand - I Feel Pretty - Antioxidant Spray
dg1873 10/9/2007 3:20:00 PM
This is one of my favorite staples! I've been using it since IFP was in business, although I admit that I don't know how long that has been! I use this morning and night, whether spritzing on alone or with my I Feel Pretty Pearlfection Mattifying Powder (it helps it thin out and spread easily) or Jojoba Oil moisturizer. It smells lovely and I know I am doing positive things for my skin in the long run :) Edited to add: Although I do know the IFP owner through a website we both frequent, I have used her products since 2006 (from for less time since they are newer) and *really* like them. Cleansers -Unlisted Brand - I Feel Pretty - Gentle Cleanser
dg1873 9/20/2007 11:53:00 PM
I have spent the last 3 years looking for a great gentle cleanser. My best bet (until IFP) was Geografx Gentle Azulene---without all the botanicals b/c they caused some minor irritation. IFP Gentle Cleanser is even better. Gentle.. simple.. the right pH to be followed immediately by AHA products. I'm sold. Outstanding. Great product for a great price. Allows me to fit two steps (that I was never able to do regularly before) into ONE. And I see the benefits of both. On the packaging, Kim has been able to send mine with a spray top (I may have paid an extra dollar or so--I can't remember), which is very worthwhile. It completely solves the application problem that some have --mentioned in a review below.
