Misc Beauty Tools -Tweezerman - tweezers

I've only used Tweezerman & Revlon so can't compare them to much else - but when I bought my weezerman tweezers, I never had to go out & look for any others ever again! :) They grip every hair, even the smallest ones, & they don't slip off the hair like the Revlon ones do - & the tips are just sharper & "thinner" (the Revlon ones felt too thick & didn't give much precision). I have several pairs from Tweezerman so I can have one at home, one in my makeup bag & just a spare one - I've bought them all throughout the last 5-6 years & I send them to get free sharpening which is a great service they offer. Although they always work great, after I get them sharpened they feel like new.

Treatments -Clairol - Natural Instincts Shine Happy clear shine treatment

I used this a long time ago but want to start writing more reviews since I've gotten so much help from everyone's reviews on this website. My hair had been looking dull even though I rarely color it, I rarely straightened it, & never blow dried it. It was just dull, no shine, it didn't look healthy. This did not give me ANY shine, at all. My hair had the same dull look to it but this just dried it out too!!! I was also wondering why it had hydrogen peroxide but I figured since it's made specifically for shine, it should work. What a waste, all it did was make it dry & add more chemicals to my dull looking hair. I would NEVER buy this again. Since then, for the last 6+ months, I've done several things to improve the state of my hair mainly by reading reviews on here. I've used Neutrogena Anti-Residue shampoo (use it 2x a week) Fructis Hair Mask, Aussie Deeeep 3 Minute Miracle (both 1x a week) and got a good trim. It's still not as glossy or shiny as I'd like it to be (esp. since I don't do much to damage or dry it out!) But it does look softer & shinier than before :) I'm being consistent with those products.

Treatments (Eye) -Burt's Bees - Royal Jelly Eye Cream
dewkiss 1/21/2010 7:27:00 PM
My eye area is dry & thin - I've used several different eye creams (Obagi, Almay, Strivectin, Roc) I think the Strivectin & Roc were way too harsh - I didn't/don't have deep wrinkles, just fine lines & dryness so maybe these were just too much for my eye area. My eyes look liney & "crepey" when I smile. But Burt's Bees Royal Jelly Eye Cream is great for me. It's highly moisturizing & makes the area very soft. Some of these others seemed like they actually dried out my skin under my eyes, they'd even get red & a bit flakey. It's very thick but you only need a little bit, & just rub it between your fingers so it "melts" & goes on more easily. I use it overnight (a thicker application) & just a tiny bit during the day since it's so thick. Like other reviewers said, if you have younger skin, you probably won't like it. You don't need such a rich cream. It's best for dry thin skin, & I don't know how well it would work on wrinkles. But I like this the best out of any other eye products I've used just for my dryness/fine lines. I still have the lines when I smile, but they don't look all dry & crepey anymore. Big improvement! :)

Treatments -Unlisted Brand - MaMa Lotion [DISCONTINUED]

This is my first review on any product. I have been using Mama Lotion for exactly 5 weeks & I think I ruined my skin :( I have UGLY brown spots on my face (Melasma, I think from birth control pills. I don't have kids) & they are stubborn. Nothing I've tried has worked. Bio Oil, Obagi, & Cosmelan treatments. I also went for treatments at a salon, & saw no improvement. Finally I bought this, & everywhere I read, results should have been seen in about a month. I have had NO results on the melasma whatsoever, & all that's happened is I broke out HORRIBLY with huge, deep, hard bumps along my jawline. I haven't broken out this bad in years, when I finally was desperate enough to use several courses of Accutane. My skin has been clear for years - up until NOW!!!! This RUINED my pimple-free face!!! I used it all over my face because of all the reviews saying their skin never broke out anymore, all acne scars (both dark marks, & indentations) were gone, their skin looked younger. So I wanted my entire face to be treated, not just the brown spots. I hate my skin so much, I even avoided two guys I was interested in because I didn't want them to see my ugly skin :( I'm going to the dermatologist tomorrow, which I haven't gone to in years but now I'm starting all over again, trying to cure this disgusting nodular, cystic acne that I got after using Mama Lotion. I feel so terrible that I ruined my skin. It was bad enough having those ugly brown marks (especially above my upper lip, making it look like I have a moustache) and now, to top that off, I have 9 NINE humongous painful pimples along my lower face/jawline. Plus the smaller ones I got on my cheeks during these 5 weeks, left NEW dark scars, which this Mama Lotion was also supposed to make "disappear"!!!!!! I can't believe how ugly I look now :(
