Fragrances -Philosophy - PURE Grace Solid Perfume
rated 3 of 5

Was a GWP and although I absolutely love Pure Grace Fragrance, the solid does not last very long, but can be layered throught the day over the spray. For $18.00 I think its a wee bit overpriced.

Treatments -Philosophy - Resurface Kit - The Microdelivery In-Home Vitamin C Peptide Peel
rated 5 of 5

Not that expensive considering that one peel in a Spa or Salon will cost you much more than this. This peel delivers BETTER results than I have ever had from any professional peel. I am fast becoming a Philosophy girl!

Cleansers -Philosophy - Purity Made Simple (Real Purity Cleanser)
rated 5 of 5

I love this cleanser. It takes off all my makeup and grime without burning my eyes. My skin has had no breakouts since I started using this. When nordies had its sale last summer, I bought the special edition 32oz pump for $40.00. I still haven't used half of it. This is well worth the money and is my HG cleanser...YAH!

Moisturizers -Avon - Advanced All-in-One

After spending a FORTUNE on Moisturizers with Glycolic Acid and SPF 15, I happened upon this. My skin looks awesome, even toned, and perfectly moisturized without being greasy. This products ingredinets are almost identical to other glycolic moisturizers that cost 5x as much. Wow, I was shocked and pleasantly surprised. Do not use this if you are sensitive to Glycolics. Try it! You will love it!

Mascara -Estee Lauder - MagnaScopic Maximum Volume Mascara

I am an idiot for paying so much money for this. My lashes have never ever clumped with any mascara EXCEPT this one...you just need one stroke, right? One stroke of huge GLOBS! Yuck!

Shampoo -Aveda - Sap Moss Shampoo [DISCONTINUED]

My HG Shampoo for 5 years. I am a colorist at a non-Aveda salon and I can get tons of other hair products at cost, but I pay full price for this baby because it the THAT GOOD. I can't live without it.

Eye Shadow -Smashbox - Eyeshadow
rated 5 of 5
devshotmom 6/19/2004 12:35:00 AM

I cannot live without Smashbox eyeshadow. I was a former UD addict, but when I started to get a little older...I looked like I was trying too hard with the makeup. I wanted people to notice me...not my eyeshadow. Smashbox eyehadows are the most blendable, the softest and the colors are gorgeous, but a bit toned down for someone who isn't in her 20's anymore. It is the only eyeshadow that I can apply with a brush and does not leave crumbles under my eyes. It stays put all day, and the shimmers are absolutely beautiful. Smashbox makes me feel pretty.

Eye Shadow -Smashbox - Eye Shadow Single - Champagne

This is the best eyeshadow. It is a true neutral. My best friend is African American and it looks just as fabulous on her as it does on an Irish girl like me! A swipe in the morning lasts me all day. It is a great color for the weekend "I'm not wearing any makeup look" or dressed up for night...it is so versatile and sooooo easy!

Scrubs -St. Ives - Apricot Scrub
rated 4 of 5
devshotmom 6/17/2004 5:10:00 PM

I used to use Dermalogicas Skin Prep Scrub. Its a LOT more $$$$$$, but basically has the same ingredients! (Check the labels...) I have been on a search for cheaper products since quitting work to stay at home with my boy and, I never thought I would find a cheap product that would work this good! WOW! I feel like an idiot for spending so much money all of these years! It is excellent for your man to use before shaving (because it helps lift out ingrown hairs). The packaging is awesome and pretty much the same type of packaging as Dermaoligca. If you have sensitive skin, any scrub may be too harsh, this one included.

Moisturizers -Burt's Bees - Marshmallow Vanishing Creme
rated 1 of 5
devshotmom 6/15/2004 7:28:00 PM

Yikes! I love so many of Burts Bees products (Baby Bee entire line is my HG) but this was AWFUL! First of all, it did not "vanish" it sat on my skin like an oil spill! It left a horrible film all day, and by the end of the evening I looked like a greasy large pored nightmare! Yuck! The smell was great ititially but turns to smell like rotten milk (gag)!

Lotions/ Creams -Burt's Bees - Baby Bees Buttermilk Lotion
rated 5 of 5
devshotmom 6/15/2004 5:46:00 PM

I have used this product on my whole family since getting a starter kit for my baby shower five years ago. My son has very dry patchy skin and my husband is prone to excema. My son is allergic to everything else and this keeps him moisturized with ZERO dry patches. Every time I tried something cheaper, I went back to Baby Bee. The smell is as comforting as home. Every night after his bath my son looks forward to his Baby Bee rub-down!

Palettes -Urban Decay - Cream Eye Shadow Palette
rated 1 of 5
devshotmom 6/10/2004 3:57:00 PM

Me too. I got this for Christmas from my husband and was sooooo bummed that the consistency was not at all like the product in the tube. Dried out almost instantly. Incidentally, I got a LOW END AVON cream shadow palette from a friend for Christmas, and it still works GREAT to this day. Urban Decay should get some tips from Avon on this one.
