Mascara -Neutrogena - Healthy Volume

Excellent Product. This mascara is dry, but dry in a good way. When applying, only a thin amount is put onto lashes. No globs, no clumps, no spidery looking wet lashes. I bought the black brown, and it is dark enough for me (I usually wear dark brown or navy blue...I find jet black too harsh and fake looking). I have somewhat sensitive eyes, and I have had NO burning, no flaking, no excessive smudes or flakes and at the end of the day, it comes right off when I wash my face. My lashes look full, healthy, feathery with natural volume. I honestly have NO idea where Neutrogena came up with the 400% volume sales pitch, but if you want believable volume and great looking, natural lashes...THIS is the mascara for you!!! A+

HOLY GRAIL product. I've used Joico K-Pak for years, and this is even better!! My hair is naturally a medium brown, and it is VERY fine and thin (I mean VERY :(( I lighten and tone my hair to almost white...a very platinum, almost silver (and by lighten, I mean bleach the h*ll out of it!!). LOL I wear my hair spiky, short and messy. Keeping my hair almost white, makes it look thicker, due to the damage, roughed up cuticle and that you cannot see my scalp as much, as when my hair is brown. I bleach my roots EVERY 2 weeks and then tone my hair with Wella T18 (formerly White Lady toner). By using this Joico RevitaLuxe 1-2x a week...I have NO breakage at all. Yes, my hair is still fried, LOL, but this keeps it from breaking and actually makes my hair look like hair. The BEST treatment in the world!!

Hair Color -Joico - Vero K-Pak Crème Lightener

HG hair lightener! I've been using this for over a year...and it is the BEST. I wear my hair short, spiky and really, really blonde (think Billy Idol mixed with Pink or Gwen Stefani). I use this with 30 volume Joico creme developer. I leave it on my roots for about 45 mins. I mix it it a 1:2 ratio. There is no burning, smell, running/dripping. My scalp is very red afterwards (but no scabbing or damage). My hair is left WHITE, shiny, somewhat soft and I have NEVER had one piece of hair breakage using this product. Sometimes I tone with Joico K-Pak Silver blonde colour mixed with 10 or 20 volume, but many times this lightener just looks white and platinum on it's own. Really a HG bleach!!!!

Hands down, HG hand cream. I have been using this religiously for almost TEN years. The few times I've tried something new and "fancier", I always just return to this hand cream. Nothing works better. It absorbs quickly, feels soft, silky and the smell is pleasant. It makes my hands, nails and cuticles look and feel like silk. When I look at my friends' hands, my hands easily look 5-10 years younger. I think the ingredients in this hand cream & the alpha hydroxy acids have kept my hands looking smooth, tight, spot and wrinkle free. And for about $3.50 a tube...what's not to love! A+

Styling Products -John Frieda - luxurious volume hairspray

This is a GREAT hairspray. My hair is fine and thin, but I bleach and platinum tone the h*ll out of it....to give it body. I wear it spiky and messy (think Billy Idol), LOL. This hairspray really holds. It doesn't dry lightning fast, but once it dries, the hold and shine last ALL day. It does make my hair feel a little dry and crunchy...but that's what I LOVE about it. My wild "hair do" lasts all day. It rinses and washes out easily. The smell, to me, is fine. It is not great, but does not clash with my fragrance, and honestly I do not even smell it during the day. I have honestly tried dozens of hairsprays, some costing almost $30, and this works as well, or better. A great, relatively cheap find. Thanks John Frieda!!

OMFG!! This is awful. My Mom wore this in the late 70's and 80's, and I always loved it. It was warm, spicy, comforting and mysterious! From what I have read, it has been tweaked, or maybe even re-formulated....but whatever has been done, it is not the Opium I remember. Thank God, I got a generous sample from Sephora. I tried it 2x, and the second time my Spouse literally got a migraine, pulled the car over and made me wipe my neck and wrists with some wet wipes we had in the car. Even then, the stench remained. We were on our way to the gym for a cardio class. As my body heated up, I wanted to die. I could not escape the overpowering old lady, musty smell. Honestly, this smelled almost as bad as Estee Lauder Youth Dew. I was so sad and shocked, how similar Opium smelled like Youth Dew. Old lady, dirty, musty, cloying, overpowering, un-fresh, un-sexy, migraine inducing and gross. Epic Fail!!!!

This haircolour is as good as professional Goldwell, Schwarzkopf, Matrix or Paul Mitchell. On a friend, I have used 6N and 7N, and on myself their Creme hair lightener (bleach). All 3 products had ZERO offensive smell. No burning, no irritation, no staining, no allergic reactions. The 6N and 7N have the BEST gray coverage...simply amazing. Even with daily washings for 3-4 weeks, the gray does not return (of course new gray grows), but the coloured gray stays coloured & does not turn brassy. ***The creme hair lightener lightened my level 4/5 hair to almost white. My dyed platinum hair was left shiny, somewhat soft, no breakage and full of body and good texture. I cannot recommend Age Beautiful enough!

Styling Products -Sebastian - Shaper Plus Hairspray

I SO wish P & G did not take over Sebastian (and Wella). Just like after 40 years of Downy April Fresh Fabric Softener (Allure magazine even voted April Fresh Downy one of the most iconic smells)...P & G changed it, and it is now disgusting (1000's of complaints on the Downy website)...but they do not care. P & G RUINED Shaper and Shaper Plus hairspray as well. I've used Shaper Plus for like 15+ years, and now it does nothing. It's like spraying your hair with bug killer scented water. The smell is similar to the old formula, but now stronger and very offensive...and it has virtually no hold. I am very disappointed. I had to make the decision yesterday, to no longer buy it. I wear my hair in a messy (but cool:) white, bleached faux-hawk style...and it just fell within hours of using Shaper Plus!! Shame on Procter & Gamble!!

Awful product. I normally use a wax warmer and muslin strips to wax my legs. It is messy and somewhat time consuming, but I get like 99% of the hair removed the 1st time. I saw these Nads strips at Target on sale, saw they were some Australian product "winner", they were not expensive...so I bought them. I used them last night. They maybe removed 60-75% of my leg hair. My hair was ready to be waxed too, as it had been a full month since my last wax. These strips stick together, smell very odd, break hair at the root and my legs were left red, blotchy and spotty hair everywhere. Really, really wish I had just used my wax warmer and muslin strips like I normally do. Now I have to wait a month, with a really bad wax job. Bummer!

Bio Oil is kind of a miracle! I was lucky not to have acne as a teen. Now that I am 35+ :) I started getting really bad adult, cystic acne! They are taking months to heal, and when they do go away...they are leaving deep red, almost maroon scars. I have been seeing my Dermatologist 2x a week for injections, Blue Light Treatment and Retin-A. I have been using Bio-Oil morning and night for about a week...and my acne scarring is already going away. Seriously! I love the feel, smell and performance of this product. I now even use it as my all over body moisturizer. A great find!!

Cleansers -Ponds - Deep Cleanser Cold Cream

I have Normal/Combination skin and I am over 30 (cough, cough :) I am also very, very prone to get deep & painful cystic acne bumps that take months to heal & leave a hard, small ball under the skin (so annoying, I'd rather just get a regular "whitehead" that can be popped :) So, you can imagine how nervous I was to slather and "cleanse" my face and neck with Mineral Oil, Montan Wax, Ceresin and Beeswax (all ingredients in this Cold Cream). I use a generous amount, slather and rub into dry skin and then remove with a warm wash cloth. Sometimes I do this 2 times. After wiped off with the warm wash cloth, I use a toner (I do not like to leave the slightly oily film on my skin. Either I use Dickinson's Witch Hazel or Origins. Seriously my skin is cleaner, softer, smoother, more radiant and cystic acne seems greatly reduced. I cannot believe I like to clean my skin with Mineral Oil. I am shocked how well this works!!!

HG, HG, HG! People...this is a toner, not a lotion as the bottle says. If you just read the directions, you will see this is a toner, that works best on a cotton pad after cleansing. This calms my skin almost on contact, and makes my face and neck clear, radiant & soft. I use this morning and night after cleansing. After toning I use Starting Over Oil Free with Mimosa in the am, and Night a mins in the evening. My skin is clearer and more radiant in one month of using only Origins products, after using Clinique and Clarins for over 15 years. I love Origins!!

Moisturizers -Origins - Starting Over (with Mimosa)

Excellent product! After going back & forth for years between Clinique and Clarins, I switched all my products exclusively to Origins. I use this cream (oil free version) for the day and Night a mins in the evening. This cream spreads very easily, smells great and my skin just drinks it in. It never feels too heavy, nor too light. Both morning and night I use the Dr.Weil Mega Mushroom toner/lotion before applying my creams. Within days my skin was glowing, and it's been almost a month...and my skin keeps getting better on Origins. My skin is calmer, clearer, smoother and my breakouts have all but stopped.

Moisturizers -Origins - NIght-A-Mins Cream

Not HG, but very, very close. While this product is very thick, it spreads and melts into my face & neck so easily. The smell is fresh, light and very citrus...very soft and pleasing. After I wash and tone my skin at night, I use this cream. My skin literally glows in the morning. Not greasy, even though it feels very rich going on. I have switched my day cream, toner and scrub to Origins...and I am so happy. I always bounce between Clinique and Clarins, but so far my skin on Origins has looked better than it has in ages!

Hair Color -Wella - Color Charm White Lady Toner

Probably one of, if not the best toners in the world. Also, Clairol has discontinued EVERY colour of their Clairol Creme Toners...so Wella is all that's left (sadly P&G owns Wella, as well as Clairol..so let's hope Wella toners stay around). I bleach my hair to a very pale white/yellow. I then tone with White Lady T18 and 20 volume creme developer. I leave it on about 15, maybe 20 mins. After washing and deep conditioning, I am left with snow white hair. Not a hint of yellow. NO grey tone, NO purple tone, NO blue tone...just snow white hair. I love it!!!! Also, my hair is left shiny, healthy looking with superb texture! Thanks Wella, and Procter and Gamble...leave your hands off Wella Creme Toner!!!
