Lip Gloss -GloMinerals - glo gloss in rose gold
deserae 10/28/2004 12:45:00 AM
A generous swapper sent this and I am totally hooked! The gloss feels like butter. Its creamy and moisturizing, yet has comparable staying power to most glosses. Actually, it stays a little better because this color has a slightly metallic tinge to it. I don't normally go for rose tones as I am a warm toned gal, but this looked absolutely beautiful. I will definately be looking for more.

Well, I don't see that as a brick color, but it is a nice crimson with brownish undertones. It is really flattering on my yellow undertoned skin. Its an awesome red with just enough deepness to make it great for fall. I would definately repurchase.

Blush -L'Oreal - Feel Naturale in Charmed Peach
deserae 9/11/2004 12:37:00 AM
I picked this up today when looking for a nice peach toned blush that wouldn't break my budget. I love it. I have light skin with yellow undertones, blue eyes and brown hair, and this makes me look alot less sallow. I will definately repurchase. I don't like the packaging, too bulky... but other than that, it has excellent quality for a drugstore product.

Polishes -OPI - Coral Reef

This is a fun color! I used it for a manicure, and I probably will just stick to toes with it, but it is fun and makes me think of the beach. It looks bronze in the bottle, but on your nails in a reddish color, or a coral color depending on the light, and is very shimmer in a holographic sort of way.

I used one of the white shades to do a french manicure and it dried quickly and lasted. It kept my tips from chipping. Would definately repurchase.

Polishes -OPI - Amster-damsel in distress

Well this was nice... but not anything to write home about. I slightly coral-brown with a bit of shimmer. It was great for my warm skintone. I used it on my toes, and I usually like a bit more visual interest down there. Maybe it would be good for fingers. I doubt I will reach for this often. I will probably use up the bottle, but I won't be repurchasing.

I tried this product based on the reviews here... and I was not dissapointed! Lets just say that this is the first time I have gotten my polish dry without smudging it somehow! A must have product that I definately will repurchase. Oh... and the cuticle moisturizing benifit it nice too.

I love love love this shade. Its perfect for my subtle taste. It goes on a slight shimmery peach that lights up in the sunlight. Gives you a very polished look without looking high maintenance. I would definately repurchase.

This color was hard to apply without looking streaky. Loved the vibrant orange, though. Didn't chip before I removed it a week later. Managed to get the hang of it. It lookes fabulous layered over a berry like "Its my Prague-ative"

Fragrances -Clean - Baby Girl

I would give this one 0 lippies if I could. Smells like a lavender dishsoap I tried once. I couldn't stand it in dishsoap and I hate it as a fragrance. Headache inducingly strong too. Hate the packaging on the sample I tried too. You have to break it open to use it, and then there is no lid so you have make sure an awkwardly shaped flat bubble doesnt spill. I dumped it down the toilet. It seemed the most appropriate place for this stuff.

Scrubs -Bath and Body Works - Skin Smoothing Shower Scrub in Sun Ripened Raspberry
deserae 1/30/2004 11:49:00 PM
I am not fond of the scent, but know others who love it. The scrub is the only one I have tried where the product stays on you instead of falling off into the tub. So you don't waste it dripping off down your drain before you can use it. Lathered pretty nicely too. Would repurchase, but probably in a different scent.

Scrubs -Origins - True Grit Fruit-Sloughing Body Gel
deserae 1/30/2004 11:45:00 PM
This does smell nice, but I was expecting something a bit more fruity. The scrubbing action is a bit too gentle, but overall one of the better scrubs I have tried. I wish the tube was bigger though.

Scrubs -Origins - Pomengranate Polish
deserae 1/30/2004 11:42:00 PM
I could love this... if it actually smelled fruity. That is what I was expecting, and instead I got a olive oil smelling stuff. I love the color, but hate the mess it makes. I have to use shower gel afterward to clean it off. It would all be worth it, if it smelled like pomegranites like I was expecting... But as it stands, not worth the mess. Definately will not repurchase.

Blush -BeneFit Cosmetics - Georgia ] ] [DISCONTINUED]
deserae 1/30/2004 3:28:00 PM
I love this. I have light skin with very strong yellow undertones and this makes me look healthy. I like the brush that comes with it ok for all over application, but it applies better with a small dense blush or bronzer brush. The smell is peachy, but not actually like peaches. I have to take off a lippie for the box though, its cute, but not as sturdy or travel friendly. Its perfect because I wasnt looking for a blush since I prefer to emphasize my eyes and don't want to look too made up. It really does give me a peaches and cream complexion. Will definately repurchase when I run out.

Liquid -L'Oreal - True Match Super-Blendable Makeup SPF 17
deserae 1/30/2004 3:12:00 PM
When I first tried this on my cheek, it blended so well I doubted it would cover anything, so I tried it on the rest of my face, and it did. But it settled into the fine lines around my eyes and made old blemishes and dry spots really stick out. Good value for the money if it works for you though. I will not be repurchasing though.
