This product is amazing. The reviewers who said it peeled are using WAY too much. You seriously need the tiniest amount. NOTHING has ever cleared my face this much, and I've been suffering with acne for over 10 years. It even gets rid of cystic acne- you know the huge underground ones? I use this stuff when I first feel the bump forming, and the pimple never comes up! Seriously, for the, I believe, $4 or so that this cost me, it is 500% worth it.
I've gone through at least a dozen tubes of this stuff. BEST mascara I have ever tried, and I've tried many. You will hear many other make-up artists rave about it as well. It's not too wet and not too dry, has never ever flaked on me, and is the only mascara that gives me lots of volume without clumping my lashes together.
Concealers -L'Oreal - True Match Super Blendable Crayon Concealer

BEST FREAKING CONCEALER EVER! Nothing else has worked better on my undereyes. I got w1-2-3 (fair/light), which has yellow undertones, cancelling out darkness perfectly. Doesnt feel too thick, blends easily, lasts well and don't dry out or smudge all over the place. Going to get every color for my kit.
A good lightweight foundation, gives a nice slightly glowy finish. Also stayed on my face for a fairly long time, which surprised me. Rimmel products are extremely affordable and good quality! Kinda wish it had a pump but oh well. Not the perfect foundation for me because its only a medium coverage (i have acne scarring), but would be great for anyone who just wants something light to even out skin tone for every day!
For starters, I've tried manic panic, and it totally let me down. The color faded in a week, it wasn't that vivid even though my hair was bleached, and left my hair an ugly faded purple/silver. This product, on the other hand, lasts FOREVER, is the brightest I've ever used, and even when it faded, it faded into a nice light pink that I've had now for a month. Note: it did NOT turn orange like every other pink I've ever used before. That said, yeah, its a super thick product. I appreciate this because I don't end up with flecks of color all over my bathroom. I've heard that you can mix it with water to make it more spreadable, but definitely don't mix in conditioner: the molecules will block the color from penetrating in your hand strands. Always start with clean hair. I recommend blasting it with heat for 10 minutes once its on your hair, then leaving it on for at least an hour (it won't destroy your hair!) Do NOT wash with hot water, this opens the cuticle of the hair and lets the color seep out. Also, don't bother trying to wash your hair til the water runs clean, it probably won't stop bleeding. Get off all the surface product you can, then condition and leave it alone. Don't sleep on a white pillowcase for the first couple days, and the risk of staining should be a lot lower the second time you wash your hair. Going to try the aqua shade soon, will update if it disappoints, though I doubt it!
Eyeliner -Sephora - Jumbo Liner 12HR Wear Waterproof

These eyeliners are AMAZING. These would be great as eyeshadow bases, because they will not budge once dry, and therefore, anything you apply on top will not move either. I first purchased Turquoise, which is a shimmery and very opaque bright blue. I use it in my waterline and underneath my eye, in a thick line, and it looks amazing with a simple winged eyeliner on top. I recently purchased the dark brown matte, and purple matte. Swatching them all at sephora, I noticed that the shimmery colors tended to be more sheer, and I wanted a very rich purple and brown eyeliner. These colors would look great if you apply to top and bottom lashlines and blend out, for a very quick smokey eye. The quality of these pencils is totally worth the price, and I am rarely one to spend on the higher end for make-up.
This is one of the best gel eyeliners out there, no wonder its sold out every time I go into ulta! Whoever has owned mac's blacktrack knows that it dries out so quickly. That is not the case with this stuff. I think I had it for 4 months before it started to show the smallest signs of drying (even though there were days I left the lid open for a long time!) It is very waterproof, very easy to work with, doesn't smudge or flake, and the black is very black. I also have the purple ("berlin rocks") which is a bit more useful as an eyeshadow base, since its a tiny bit less opaque and has a bit of a sheen/shimmer. Can't wait to try out all the colors. You simply cannot beat it at this price, or at any other price.
Eyeliner -L'Oreal - Voluminous Smoldering Eyeliner

I was surprised to find that I really liked this eyeliner, because I can be quite picky with them. I did give it a 4 because I felt that it could be a bit blacker, but overall it does great. Goes on easily and lasts for a reasonable amount of time on my tear-prone eyes. I haven't used it to smudge on my lower lashline, but I can say that it is just soft enough to be able to do that and create a very easy smokey eye.
I've probably gone through 20 tubes of this mascara by now, and even though I've tried tons of different ones, nothing has come close to rivaling it. It gives my lashes volume and length, doesn't clump, doesn't flake, and doesn't irritate my contact lenses.
Rimmel lipsticks in general are amazing, but this one really blew me away. I loooove the shade.. its sort of a pinky soft brown. Has amazing shine and goes on very easily. I never have to worry about blending it in, just apply and go. Looks just natural enough to wear every day, but would look great coupled with a smokey eye. With the quality of a mac lipstick at a drugstore price, what more could you want?
Lip Gloss -Revlon - Colorburst Lipgloss 002 Crystal Lilac

It's been years since I've actually wanted to wear a lip gloss. I usually hate the stickyness and every other lip gloss has been either too sheer or too pigmented. But I find that this one is just right. It goes on smooth, feels nice on the lips, and compliments just about any lip color you put underneath it. The shade is beautiful, it comes out exactly like it looks in the tube (along with the tiny flecks of pink, which look gorgeous). I actually found the feel and quality of this gloss to be comparable to the pricey chanel lip gloss. Honestly such a lovely gloss for the price. I've been very impressed with Revlon, especially their lip products. Definitely worth the money!
These brushes are as amazing as samantha chapman. They apply everything beautifully, are super soft, the quality is to die for, they look gorgeous, and the price made me feel like I was stealing. I've had them for about 8 months and have yet to see a single hair fall out.
Lipstick -Wet 'n' Wild - Megalast Matte Lip Color (2010 reformulation)
derivedhope 6/7/2012 12:25:00 AM
The colors of these are all beautiful. The texture isn't the best, but for the price, I can hardly complain. Especially since they are matte and long-wearing.. any long wearing lip color is bound to be a bit drying. I recommend these for people with very soft and smooth lips.. if you have any dryness or wrinkling in your lips, stay away from matte lip colors in general.
Eye Shadow -Wet 'n' Wild - Color Icon Trio - I Dream of Greenie
derivedhope 6/7/2012 12:22:00 AM
I bought this palette for the bright green, and I am definitely not disappointed. Its super pigmented, soft, easy to work with, and definitely lasts a good while when you use a primer. Clearly you should NOT follow the directions and use these 3 colors together.. I can't imagine that working out for anyone. I use colors from the Vanity palette to tone these down, and you can create about a million looks with just those two palettes.
If you love blues and want super pigmented eyeshadows, this is definitely the palette for you! They're super soft and easy to work with. I never have trouble blending wet n wild shadows, unlike the dry texture of mac eyeshadows (totally not a fan of mac). At any rate, there is no way you can beat the quality at this price.
