Pressed Powders -Estee Lauder - Lucidity Translucent Pressed Powder

As I've reached my 50's there are alot of problems I've had with finding powders that gave me a natural finish. Fine lines are beginning to set in, and the minerals lines have all but seemed to either be chalky or accentuate lines. Until this. After reading several reviews on another blog of woman in my age group I splurged abit and purchased this and it is by far the finest powder I have ever used. I think if I applied this correctly since its somewhat buildable I could even use this as a foundation, yet its' sheer enough over a foundation and sets all day!!! NO creasing in lines, beautiful finish. Why are there companies out there these days producing finishes that believe the mature woman wants to "glow" like a sparkle glo-lite? You will LOVE this powder...what a pretty pretty finish!
Blush -Physicians Formula - Mineral Glow Pearls - Rose Pearl

Getting a bit older and want a natural flush of color I was hesitant concerning the "glitter". Don't let it fool you, I was most pleasantly surprised to find instead it gives that luminous "glow" that you desire, somewhat lit from within. Very pleased with this color, a little goes a long way, lasted all day, including a nap...lol...and I think I've found what I've been looking for! Blush can be tricky. I have read pointers regarding maturing skin that attempt to lead you to cream blushes, but through trial and error I would suggest that this is softer than a cream blush because of its "luminosity" on the skin, and a natural glow that it creates its much more complimentary on maturing skin And might I add, much less of a hassle than cream blush which requires a lot of blending in attempts to avoid those fine lines! Great find, and thank goodness....I don't look like a glitter goddess! A beautiful blush!
Bought this on a whim when recommended by consultant at Ulta as I was looking for a moisture tint. Mistake. It would be best for oily skin type as after 4 hours I looked in car mirror and noticed a white chalky scaly appearance and wow was my skin "dry". I have a normal skin type and although it does indeed cover every pore and minimalize lines I would not recommend it for mature skin...I didn't know what "bb" meant until reading about this product online...and I would suggest it means "blemish balm" and NOT beauty balm with this product....especially if your skin is mature. Very pricey!!!
Alright Physicians Formula...yah...a mature womans "bb cream"....I love this stuff!!! Start with a good moisterized face, and apply with fingertips...don't need the brush! I can wear light or medium...very little difference between the two...(went back and bought another one right away after first trying it in light)...your skin becomes a palette for blush...btw this can double as concealer if put a bit extra under the eyes...the staying powder is 12-14 hours literally covers every pore, and does indeed take 10 years off of you!!! I swear this foundation is a must have...mousse like texture....glides on leaving flawless, soft focused effect like no other!!! WOW and WOW....You will love this!!!
Liquid -Clarins - Skin Illusion Natural Radiance Foundation

Loved the smell...its different. Hardest part about this product is finding the correct color! Went from Wheat, returned and finally agreed on Beige. However the color in the store lights were again different when I got home...strange...BUT overall a great brightening effect on the skin...coverage is dreamy, non greasy, easily blendable, soft focus my age group loves which diminishes all fine lines. I swear my skin was improved after removing it at night...btw...it last all day, and then some. Coverage is fantastic and it does indeed give that "illusion" effect!
Loose Powders -Bare Escentuals - Tinted Mineral Veil

Waste of money...far better with non-colored mineral veil. Does make pores disappear and skin appear clearer, but turned funky oarnge on my skin....and continued to get "oarngier" as the day went on. Nothing beats its staying power...but in my case...that too was unfortunate. Physicians Formula dollar for dollar had far better quality with their airbrushed non-talc airbrushed mineral compact powder...and no mess too! Would not buy bare escentuals again...as a matter of fact the regular mineral powder looked chalky too...and I was matched by a cosmetic consultant. Not for me!
Wanting the "airbrushed" look, yet using powders at the age of 52 can be touchy. Tried the bare escentuals line and was disappointed, the tinted mineral veil turned oarnge on me...so disappointing. This compact mineral talc-free powder is THE BEST!!! And I consider myself a hard sell!! Almost moisterizing and incredible creamy texture this glides on (use your own kabuki brush), swirl it on like mineral makeup...and you have a flawless foundation. I am amazed...13 dollars vs the 25 dollars one can pay for a high end product this beats them hands down!!! I used Creamy natural and the color is just awesome, no pores, no dry cakey look, feels smooth to the touch absolutely no odor...and high SPF...all I can say is WOW. I found it, and I love it.
