Powder -MAC - Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation

I've used this makeup for nearly four years now and I've never had any problems with this at all. I have dark skin, oily/combination, so a powder foundation is best for my skin. I rarely get breakouts other than the odd hard to shift spot, and this gives me the coverage I need. If its a good skin day I can get away with brushing a bit under the eyes and cheeks, or if it's been a long night, I can apply more of this great quality item without it caking up or looking generally grim. I reccomend this powder to anyone looking for a powder that matches your skin tone. I feel this foundation warms to your complexion after applying your moisturiser/primer and gives you an even finish, plus i rarely need to blend into the neck. I love it. Ladies if you're using Rimmel or Maybelline on your faces and you're looking greasy two to three hours into the day, it's time to change to a premium makeup brand, especially as your skin matures. I can buy my powder and it lasts around 9 months even with everyday use, it's worth the £20, highly reccomended guys.

Fragrances -Dolce & Gabbana - L'Imperatrice Eau de Toilette

I first bought this when it came out, I loved it then I got bored and switched to Nina Ricci. I can't really describe the scent other than it's fresh, I get a smell of peony. The D&G number fragrances I think we're made to be unisex, but I find this much more feminine. It's a burst of fresh, zesty and sweet all at the same time. I use Nivea body lotion and layer this after and it's divine. I wear it all the time now. The bottle comes in one size 100ml conveniently l, unless you have bought the 20ml selection box. I bought my bottle for £35 so it's pretty decent for a 100ml long lasting fragrance.

Absolutely love this fragrance, it's soft it's slight sweet but fresh. I love the sweet neroli note and how it sits in the skin after settling down. Con: I wish I would last longer, I do find I have to spray the hell out of the bottle, they should definitely make an EDP version of this girly and feminine EDT. Better for daytime casual wear. You may want something stronger for the night.

Conditioner -TRESemme - Vitamin E Moisture Rich Conditioner
rated 5 of 5

I love this product. I have black curly tightly coiled hair and I find this to be an amazing conditioner compared to the conditioners specifically for my hair type. I've used this for three years with no problems. I usually leave my conditioner on for an extra 5 minutes to what the bottle says. And my hair feels soft, moisturised and smelling great, I love it. I'll never switch. I then follow on with Tresemme heat protect mousse and a hair oil, before blow drying. Perfect. I recommend to anyone.

Shampoo -TRESemme - Vitamin E Moisture Rich Shampoo

I absolutely love this shampoo, I have dark tightly coiled black hair and I prefer it over shampoos specifically for my hair type. I love the smell, the way it lathers, I've never used it without the matching conditioner, because that would be hair suicide for me. Ive been using this for three years and I will never switch. Advice: to avoid dry hair, always use the matching conditioner. This is a quality salon product there shouldn't really be any problems when using both in normal to fine hair, especially if I can use it on my coiled hair. Highly recommend this to anyone.

Blush -MAC - Raizin

I love this blush. I initially discovered this while watching a YouTube tutorial, I tried it on ever so briefly in the Selfridges chaos and instantly loved the effect. I'm an NW45 in MAC so this lovely brown red blush suited me well. It brings out my skin after I've applied my foundation so well and gives me a lovely winter glow. I only need a bit for when I'm doing everyday stuff, but for nights out applying a little more never hurts with this product. MAC at its best, definitely worth every penny for making my skin look banging. I reccomend this highly.

Lipstick -MAC - Touch
rated 5 of 5

I love this lipstick, I will die if it gets discontinued, touchwood. Im black and I find drugstore nudes are either too light or they have annoying glittery bits in it. I'm not too sure what that's about. But this is perfect. It's a browny nude, not too greasy not too dry. You could even skip putting on lip balm, and you get a lovely smooth matte natural look. It's great for blending, maybe with a pinky lip tint to take the colour up a notch. It's the only nude I can wear from mac. I reccomend it to anyone who's struggling to find a nude to match their shade. Try it out. Plus it last me ages.

Lip Treatments -Carmex - Cherry Tube

Greatly dislike this product. I was drawn to it when my friend got it and it smelled divine so I bought it, unwrapped it, put it on.... First of all I hated the tingly feeling on my lips which left them feeling wierd and a bit sore. I have quite plump lips an the glossiness really got on my wick and I'd have to try putting on less, but it spreads well and with the heat of my lips, I achieved the chicken grease look once again. I daren't go near it. Also my lips were so irritated my this one of the times, that I came out in a cold sore, excellent. Needless to say, I discontinued use thereafter.

Skincare - Face -Clean & Clear - Exfoliating Daily Wash
rated 4 of 5
deli456 11/23/2012 12:27:00 PM

This is current the Number One facial scrub in the UK at the moment and I love it. Reason one: it doesn't have massive sebum and oil provoking gravel beads in the product like the St. Ives product I was using previously. Reason two: it's sensitive enough to use in a daily basis. I even use this to begin taking off my makeup, just because it gets round my pores and I'm left with a clean fresh face. I have oily skin and I ind with most scrubs that I have to limit usage. Because I have oily skin in my t-zone and wear makeup daily I have to make sure I get in there and this product does it for me. I also reccomend it for price and convenience.

Lotions/ Creams -Nivea - Nivea Soft Moisturizing Creme
rated 5 of 5
deli456 11/23/2012 12:13:00 PM

I love this body cream. I've gone through quite a lot in the past including the Body Shops body butters, which are nice to smell but not on an everyday basis for some of the scents I buy from there, and also Johnsons Bedtime cream, which is lovely but the smell doesnt last nor does it moisturise as well. But I love Nivea Soft. Its even better than the normal one in the blue bottle. I'm left feeling fresh and moisturised and really adds a nice feminine soft smell after layering with your fragrance. I don't think I'll switch for now.

Mascara -Clinique - high definition lashes
rated 5 of 5
deli456 11/23/2012 11:54:00 AM

I absolutely love this product. Previous to this I was using the Maybelline great lashes mascara, you know the one that looks like a watermelon, pink on one end, green on the other, but I found, it was making my eyelashes hard and brittle and when I took off my mascara, they were falling out. I found out about this product from my aunt who on her face uses nothing but Clinique. I loved her makeup and her lashes, so I upgraded to the High Definition. The brush is dual sided, one for brushing the lashes and the other (the finer side), for combing and defining. Even just using this one without eyeliner makes your eyes look bigger and sexier in an au natural way. I'll never switch. No one likes clumpy lashes. The price is reasonable, I buy 1-2 a year. If I buy one in Jan i wont need another till Oct or Nov, and I wear my makeup every day.

Moisturizers -The Body Shop - Vitamin E Illuminating Moisture Cream
rated 2 of 5
deli456 9/4/2012 6:01:00 AM

Personally I'm not impressed. Initially I'd bought this to just give me a bit of a highlight underneath my makeup. So I bought it, cleansed my face and used a tiny bit as a moisturiser. It comes on purple and tones itself down after rubbing it in. I have medium-dark skin and while the purple tones may compliment lighter shades, this simply is not the tone for me. However I would gladly purchase this product if the purples were exchanged for gold and red tones which would compliments my skin shade, olives and tans. I love the Vitamin E range however I have the plain body lotion and cleanser, and it smells gorgeous, very fresh and feminine alike this product. Oily skin would probably not enjoy this product unless you're considering to use it on cheekbones and other places on the face suitable for highlighting under powder.

Primer/ Corrector -Rimmel - Fix & Perfect Pro Primer 002
rated 5 of 5
deli456 9/4/2012 5:49:00 AM

I must say I love this product. I bought it for a wedding just to keep my makeup on during the day, so I didn't look like a drag queen in the photos. This primer on smoothing it onto my face make my skin smooth like it was giving me a second skin and made my face powder stretch and smooth on more easily. I was initially iterested in the Mac prep + prime range but found it oily and changed the colour of my face powder. The Rimmel, does what it says on the box. It made my skin luminate from beneath my makeup.I wish there was more of it in the tube as I've ended up using it every day. But for the price I can't complain. I use this as a moisturiser too under my makeup 2 in 1!
