Mascara -Rimmel - Volume Flash The Max in Extreme Black 003

I've tried and liked other Rimmel mascaras. They were out of Lycra Lash Extender, so I tried this one. It's in the trash now. It became very clumpy, and I had raccoon eyes. Either one is a deal-braker; both are a problem. Keep looking...

Crème -Cover Girl - Aqua Smooth Make-Up in Creamy Natural (# 720)

I have oily skin that dries out in the winter. I used this last winter and LOVED it. It has great coverage and really made my skin look good. As the weather warmed up and became less dry, I decided that my skin was just too oily for this foundation. However, I was actually looking forward to when I could use this foundation again. I bought it again this winter, but it seemed to cause terrible breakouts. It took me a while to make the connection, since I didn't have problems last year. It seemed like every time I'd use this, I'd get large, cystic breakouts. When I stopped using it, the breakouts stopped. Although I love the coverage, I won't be using this anymore. For others with combination/acne-prone skin, it's worth a try, but have another choice just in case.

Blush -Rimmel - Blush in Santa Rose

I bought this based on comments out here, and I wasn't disappointed. The color in the package is lighter and oranger than I usually buy, but I really like it on my fair skin. It's buildable and lasts as long as any other blushes I've worn. I had trouble finding it in stores. After looking around I found it at Target.

Hair Color -Revlon - Colorsilk
debbiall 2/7/2012 12:13:00 PM
My hair is probably about 30% gray, and I've been coloring for years. My old natural color was a medium brown, which is what I try to match. My problem has always been the coloring fades to a strange orange-y color. I've tried a lot of brands and a lot of colors trying to find something that was an acceptable color from the beginning (right after I color) to the end (6 - 8 weeks later). I accept that there will be some change, but going from a dark brown to a bright orange wasn't cool. Honestly, I avoided Colorsilk for years. How could something so cheap work?! Well, it does! I have been using #41, Medium Brown for about 9 months now. My hair looks pretty close to the box color after I dye it. The gray is covered. The conditioner is great. The smell is OK - I don't love it, but it isn't offensive or anything. Six to eight weeks later, it's still a medium brown. It is a little lighter (and obviously grayer at the roots). However, it is NOT ORANGE!!! So, if you're looking for a nice brown color, and you've been avoiding that $3 coloring because "I can't use a $3 color when there's a $9 color right next to it" - TRY IT!!

Liquid -Rimmel - Stay Matte + SkinPure Complex Clarifying Matte Foundation

The price was too good to pass up, but I should have. This foundation went on fine. I didn't have a problem with the color. I didn't get too shiny during the day, so that was pretty good. Unfortunately, it's making my skin peel. I don't usually have sensitive skin, but I'm having trouble with this.

Foundations -Maybelline - Dream Matte Mousse

I liked the coverage of this product. It went on easily and looked pretty good. I can't say that it kept me from getting shiny all day, but I really didn't expect that anyway. The problem was, it really made me break out - big cystic pimples. I would not recommend this product.

Masks -Unlisted Brand - Aspirin Mask
debbiall 10/17/2007 11:45:00 AM
I've been using the aspirin mask about 2x a week for about a month. Honestly, I haven't seen any change in my skin. I still have occasional break-outs, and nothing else has really changed. I started with coated aspirin - they dissolved, but in larger chunks that irritated my skin. I changed to uncoated aspirin and it works better. I dissolve about 3 tablets in several drops of water. I add a small squirt or 2 of honey. Then I put it on my face and leave it for 10 - 20 minutes and rinse off. I'll continue using this for a little while longer, but, as I said, I haven't seen a change in my skin - either positive or negative.
