The jury's still out on this one, but I must say that I agree with the women who have talked about experiencing acne. I have the laziest skin care routine in the world, but when I bought this I said I'd be diligent about washing my face everyday. Lo and behold, I start getting these deep almost cystic-like pimples. Which is strange because I sleep in make-up and used to go days without letting water touch my face (grunge phase, yuck), even in the shower, and NEVER got pimples. So imagine my frustration when I start washing my face and get a TON of pimples on my face and forehead. Which of course I picked at. Which of course caused scars which now have to be cleared up by the whole Positively Radiant aspect. I recently started using Clean and Clear with 10% Benzoyl Peroxide before putting on this moisturizer and my acne cleared up quickly. Lastly, I don't feel like this product absorbs well AT ALL. It just sits on top of my skin, and my face still feels/looks dry afterwards.

Gorgeous colors (currently wearing Hangover, a light tangerine). Took forever to dry though!

I got a free 16.9 oz bottle from my aunt who does hair on the side, so maybe the fact that I didn't pay for it made me love it more. Anywho, great for blowdrying natural/African American hair

Styling Products -FHI - FHI Heat Hot Sauce

Love FHI Hot Sauce! After blowdrying my (natural) hair with a comb attachment, I make small sections and use a small amount of Hot Sauce, let it dry for 60 sections, then make every smaller sections to flat irony. It definitely makes my scraggly ends look good in lieu of a trim. The only annoying part is the fact that you have to let it dry before applying heat. I have a lot of thick/coarse hair and I hate waiting section by section.

Styling Products -John Frieda - Frizz-Ease Wind Down Extra Strength Relaxing Creme [DISCONTINUED]

My heart is broken because this product has been discontinued as of 2009 or so. I have natural, African-American hair and this product had been a god-send. I recently ran out of my last bottle and I was at a loss, until I discovered Redken Satinwear. Still, if I had a choice I'd prefer Wind Down.

Styling Products -Living Proof - Straight Making No Frizz Styling Treatment Thick to Coarse Hair
rated 5 of 5

So I LOVE Living Proof. As an African American with natural hair, I'm definitely skeptical about phrases like "no frizz" and "straightening" because those terms don't always apply to *us* and our hair. When my stepmother purchased this product at Sephora she was actually told that this isn't meant for black girls (by a black salesgirl). Well she was wrong. The key to maximizing this product is to read the friggin instructions! While I can't recall them off-hand, the part that I think people mess up is they apply multiple products in conjunction with Living Proof. I applied it section by section to my damp hair (meaning that I applied it to one section, blow-dried, then applied it to another section, blow-dried, etc), in about 10 sections on my entire head. My hair is incredible thick and densely packed with some hair being so loosely curled that wavy is an overstatement, and other sections so tightly curled that I'd give Frederick Douglass a run for his money. So yeah, adjust section size according to length/thickness/coarseness. But yeah, the end result after blow-drying with a comb attachment was amazing. My hair looked like it had been professionally styled---- and this was before I even flat-ironed it! Best part- my hair stayed straight for-freaking-ever, even in the face of mild exercise, a brief spate of humidity, and just general living. Currently giving my hair a heat hiatus, but I definitely can't wait to use it again.

Treatments -Palmers - Skin Success Eventone Fade Cream

Definitely works for me and I've only been using it for a little over a week. You're supposed to apply it 2x a day and I admit that I had only been doing it at night because I'm lazy. I realize that in some spots it works better than others. For example, I had some random dark patches around my chin that it's clearing up well. However, I have a relavitely new scar on my leg that looks the same. I'm just going to have to stay vigilante over the next few months and then fully form my opinion, but so far so good.

Treatments -Neutrogena - Ageless Intensives Tone Correcting Concentrated Serum, Night

I've been using this product for a week an I definitely notice that my skin looks much brighter. I'm still amazed that this product does what it said it would do. The smell, as noted, is great. My only issue is the amount that comes in the tube- maybe 3 weeks worth- and the instruction to apply liberally. I find that applying when my face is slightly damp allows for an easier spread... and therefore, product conservation.
