Powder -Silk Naturals - Mineral Foundation
daz4 4/27/2013 11:36:00 PM
I have used everyday minerals in fawn (now discontinued but a beautiful fair yellow based shade) and then winged butter in summer then with color and formula changes tried and used Lucy minerals. I was looking for something with more yellow shades and found silk naturals. I am finding that coverage and staying power are definitely lacking on this. Also struggling with color; I tried warm gold and much too brown in the base. Nice foundation if you want to mix colors possibly but not enough coverage and like 10 minutes of staying power on me.

Powder -Everyday Minerals - foundation semi-matte formula
daz4 5/14/2009 11:57:00 PM
I have this in fawn and winged butter. I mix the two to match my skin year round. it is a great combination that neutralizes the redness from my rosacea and matches my yellow toned skin. The only other foundations that match my skin fairly well are: prescriptives chanpagne, bobbi brown beige and aromaleigh 2-3W. I use winged butter alone in summer. The semi-matte is very natural in the finish and although I use original glo in the winter, I really like the more matte finish for summer. Photographs well and no breakouts!!

My sensitive rosacea skin really likes this product. I wake up wihtout feeling oily and looking rested even when I have not gotten enough sleep. I pair this with my Finacea prescription gel and with the avalon vitamin C eye cream. Very nice product, no breakouts and I LOVE that it is vegetarian and cruelty free!!

Tinted Moisturizer -Neutrogena - Healthy Skin Enhancer SPF 20
daz4 5/21/2006 7:41:00 PM
I bought this on sale at Traget in the clearance section along with the concealer in Medium (terrible color, but that's for another review) for $2.49. I used it today when I was working a marathon in our city and it was great. I have rosacea and while it didn't cover up all of the redness, it did even me out. It stayed on really well with just a dusting of powder over it. I bought Neutral to tan and was worried that it would be too dark for me (px champagne (winter)/beige+champagne (summer) or about MAC C3), but it is perfect. No oranginess or pinkness that there usually is with most drugstore products. It didn't irritate my skin, but it didn't hold up well to the rain either. Good product at a great price. Normal price is more expensive, but will likely purchase this in place of my Traceless for summer!!

Polishes -Revlon - Nail Enamel
daz4 1/17/2006 9:56:00 AM
I like to do my nails at home. It's kind of 'my time' each week. I used OPI natural nails base coat and top coat. I used to be a nail polish addict and would buy virtually any brand and any color. As I have aged, I discovered that not all polishes are created equal. Now I only buy OPI, Essie, and Revlon. These polishes last the longest and have the best colors. My nails always feel stronger with any of these polishes on compared to the cheaper brands. It's worth the extra few dollars because all of these stay on the best. Who wants to be touching up their polish everyday and having to redo nails two or three times a week. Invest in REvlon polishes and you won't regret it. My favorite shade is copperglaze platinum.

Blush -Bobbi Brown - apricot powder blush
daz4 1/17/2006 9:51:00 AM
This blush scared me when the MA pulled it out to use on me (C25-30/px champagne). It looks like a bright tangerine color in the pot and I thought that she was crazy for picking such a bold color for me. Once it was applied though, it just gives a nice glow to my cheeks as long as it's applied with a light hand. Gorgeous color for those who want blush, but don't want pink blush!!

Bronzers -MAC - Bronzer in Golden
daz4 1/17/2006 9:49:00 AM
This bronzer is a staple in my daily routine. My coloring is yellow-toned (C25-30/px champagne) and this never looks fake or orangy on me. I use this year-round and it always gives me a glow (summer) and some color (winter) to counteract winter 'pasties'. I usually put this on my cheeks after completing my eye makeup and then follow with a nice blush to give me some natural color. Great product!! Try it, you won't regret it!

Loose Powders -Prescriptives - Magic Liquid Powder
daz4 1/17/2006 9:46:00 AM
This powder is a nice addition to my makeup routine. It adds some radiance without looking weird or fake. Just be careful not to put too much on your brush when applying. Also, make sure that you put the cap on tightly to preserve the water feeling. The only complaint that I have is that it has a bit too much pink in the powder shade (remember, I have a lot of yellow in my skin (px champagne)) and the brush that comes with the powder it virtually impossible to get back into the lid. Just throw that brush away!! Otherwise, a wonderful product, but I think that I will try the red neutralizing shade next time simply for a more even and matching tone to my skin.

Loose Powders -Makeup Artist's Choice (MUAC) - Custom Blend Loose Powder in Banana
daz4 1/7/2006 11:12:00 PM
This powder is absolutely fabulous. I have used T. LeClerc in Banane, BB in pale yellow, and Revlon even out, but this powder outperforms all of them. It matches my MAC C3/px champagne (very golden toned) skin very well and provides just enough coverage to even out my skin without looking like I have a ton of makeup on. I would definitely recommend this to anyone spending a lot on yellow powder. You won't be disappointed.

Lipstick -MAC - Tortilla Tan (frost)
daz4 6/2/2005 11:40:00 AM
This is my HG lipstick, but of course it's not available anymore (limited edition color). I always get compliments when I wear it. It's a peachy without being orangy at all. Great for year round, but especially beautiful for summer.

Lipstick -Clinique - Color Surge Lipstick - Dreamy Pink
daz4 3/6/2005 9:46:00 PM
I received this lipstick as an extra in a swap. It's a good thing that the wonderful swapper sent it to me because I never would have looked at it or bought it on my own. That would have been terrible because I would have missed out on a wonderful lipstick. It's a nice pink with a neutral/brownish base so it is not too bright or too pink. It has become my everyday, I don't have to think about it lipstick shade. I usually don't wear pinks (I tend to wear more peaches), but this is my perfect color. I wore it yesterday with no liner and a swipe of Neutrogena gloss in glimmer over the top of it for a wonderful YLBB shade with a shimmer/gloss finish. By the way, I am px champagne/MAC C25 or so with strong yellow undertones, light brown hair with red tones and golden highlights with brown eyes.

Makeup Brushes -Unlisted Brand - Sally's Liner/Concealer Brush
daz4 10/4/2004 10:20:00 PM
This is a great brush. I use it with my BB gel liners and it works like a dream. Just couldn't spend the 'big bucks' on the BB liner brush. This is a great knockoff/alternative.

Liquid -Prescriptives - Virtual Skin
daz4 8/7/2004 2:03:00 PM
I must be in the minority on this foundation. It breaks me out something terrible. I get small bumps all along my cheeks where I never break out. Last time I was testing it out, my husband asked me what was up with my skin. I thought that I was just being overly sensitive about the bumps, but he never notices things like that. As soon as I stopped using it, the breakouts cleared. I love the finish, but sadly with the breakouts and the lack of lasting power on my nose and cheeks, I won't be buying it again. I will stick with my virtual youth.

Moisturizers -Eucerin - Extra Protective Moisture Lotion SPF30
daz4 6/22/2004 8:22:00 AM
A great day time moisturizer with broad spectrum sunscreen at a level recommended by dermatologists. This goes on smoothly and works well under my foundation. I went to Arizona to visit my in-laws and came back with a beautiful tan on my body, but not a bit of sun on my face (that's exactly what I wanted since I have rosacea and the sun makes it go crazy). Will keep buying this, so Eucerin, please keep making it!!

Moisturizers -Eucerin - Sensitive Facial Skin Q10 Active Night Anti-Wrinkle Cream
daz4 6/22/2004 8:19:00 AM
This cream is my holy grail. I started using it on my rosacea inflicted skin after reading about it here and on alt.rosacea-support. It soothes my skin at night and gives it enough moisture without being heavy or clogging my pores. Great stuff and relatively cheap too (~$10).
