Eye Shadow -Christian Dior - Amber Treasures Eye Shadow quint

This is my first Dior quint and I really love this! The colors are so beautiful. The copper brown is to die for! I could not resist in the store. It is pretty subtle but if you use a wet brush it does have good color payoff and much more intense. The colors coordinates very well. I was pleased. I got many compliments from it. The only color I didn't like so much was the pink because it was a little chalky, however, I layer it over my MAC Expensive Pink e/s and it gives the extra omph.
When I put this lipliner on, I look like Cruella De Vil. I don't understand how this is universally flattering. It is very dark and brown. I guess to each their own preference. The texture is hard to blend and is not creamy at all. The smell is bad, like old crayon. In the trash this goes and I'll go back to my Chanel.
Lip Gloss -Revlon - Super Lustrous Lipgloss - Nude Lustre

This looked horrible on me when applied alone but when I put it over my Smashbox smashing pro lipliner this looked GORGEOUS! The perfect peachy nude look. I have a general bad experience with drugstore brands and when I got this as a gift and decided randomly to try it someday I was surprised by how good this is. At $7 a tube you can't complain. I'm definitely looking into Revlon for some lip gloss/stick now. I just have to invest in more good lipliners.
I thought I would write an review on this. This was my first blush ever and I hate it! This is what steered me away from blushes in the first place. I look like a clown with this on even with a EXTREMELY light hand. I look dirty instead of glowy. I used to think all blushes are like this until I tried a Bourjois blush 2 years after (yes, the effect of this blush was horrific) and it made me GLOWWW which started my 45 blushes right now addiction to blushes. lol.
I lost this blush and I used this only a few times =( *kicks self* I personally love it. It gives such a nice flushed glowy look. However, like most creme blushes, it wears off more quickly for me. I use this under a sheer powder blush like MAC's Pink Swoon or Chanel Narcisse and it looks BEAUTIFUL!
Powder -Shiseido - The Makeup Powdery Foundation SPF 15

I love this powder foundation back in HS. This was my first and I absolutely love it. It gives great coverage without looking powdery or flakey. You don't even need a foundation with this, just a concealer to cover spots should suffice. I still have the case. I shall refill it someday if I ever go back to Japan. I bought it in Japan, which is cheaper there. I bought it for 3000 yen which is approximately $25 here with the case. I can't bring myself to buying the $33 plus tax refill.
Mascara -Chanel - Inimitable Mascara Multi-Dimensionnel

I always told myself that I wouldn't spend so much on mascaras and yet I caved in and bought this. Now I regret it. It's a decent mascara that defines and thickens my lash somewhat. I get better results from DS brands. There is no way I'm paying $30 for this ever again. I love Chanel, but this product is no where near a winner for allure magazine. What the heck is people thinking?
Too brown looking for my taste. Other than that, it's a great color with good pigmentation. Working for MAC, this is one of the best sellers. I wonder why I hardly recommend this to my customers.
I love the pretty packaging and the light fruity smell. This lasted me from morning to evening. Wow. I get compliments wearing this all the time. It feels light, young, and fresh.
Ridiculous price, ugly packaging, and horrible smell. This is so overrated and I don't understand why. One sniff of this made me go ugh and it wore off on me in 15 mins. Is this supposed to happen?
I walked into INGLOT today since the store just opened up in the mall around where I live. At first I was like "MAC?" They both have very similar concepts. Simple, black packagings. I have to say their quality is impressive. I really like their lipglosses. They don't feel sticky or tacky and have some really impressive colors.
The color is very pretty and is worth every bit of hype. I use this as a blush and after an hour, this thing practically ran off on me. Mr. NARS, please come back from your damn island and reformulate your multiples.
Misc Beauty Tools -Sephora - Heated eyelash curler
darlingbabygirl 11/13/2007 12:09:00 AM
I hate the Sephora brand in general. Period. This thing is useless. I get better results curling lashes with my spoon. No seriously.
As much as I love BB shimmerbricks and their gel eyeliners, this product just doesn't work for me. I tried to like it. The concealer barely covered up my redness and only emphasized it even more! WTF. The color didn't really match my skin and offered horrible flakey texture, not to mention the ridiculous price tag that came with it. Can I kill this?
This looks extremely scaring in the pan at first but looks so beautiful on the cheeks. I'm NC20 - 25 depending on the season and it shows up a very subtle cotton candy of a pink color for me. The finish is sheer with little shimmer to give a nice glow. i'm re-dying my hair back to black for this.
