I love this shade. I have a couple light lavender shades from MAC (Budding Love and I Like It Like That), but this is one that I wear more often. It is a light and soft shade. Very mod. I really enjoy wearing it. It has a smooth, opaque, and slightly glossy finish. I paid under $5 cdn for this and I will repurchase. For reference, I am MAC Studio Fix C8, Pur Minerals 4 in 1 is the shade Deep.

I love this shade. This, along with MAC's Marquise D', is my go-to nude. It is a peachy-nude that goes well with the warmth in my skin. I like the smooth texture and the coverage is medium opaque. For reference, I am MAC Studio Fix C8, Pur Minerals 4 in 1 is the shade Deep.
Lipstick -Revlon - Colorburst Lip Butter - Berry Smoothie
darkskinsexylips 3/18/2012 6:18:00 PM
I do love these butters. I bought this on sale for $3.99cdn and I have to admit that I bought this half-heartedly. Amazingly, I do not have a shade like this in my lipstick collection, so I thought this may be nice for the spring and summer. Well, when I applied it at home, I was very pleasantly surprised. On me, it is a sheer mid-berry shade with a lavender tone. Very interesting. I really like it on me. And, the sheerness is nice, too. It's a subtle yet definite pop of colour. The only caveat is that it needs to be applied often. Especially with my pigmented lips. At this rate, I will have to get a backup, but for $4, I think I can deal with that. :)
Lipstick -Revlon - Colorburst Lip Butter in Fig Jam
darkskinsexylips 3/14/2012 8:26:00 PM
I love RLB and I love Fig Jam. For me, this is actually a MLBB shade since my lips are naturally quite pigmented. When I put this on it shows up as a sheer and lovely deep mocha brown shade with the slightest tinge of red. The creaminess and the moisture it provides is wonderful. Revlon really came through for us lipstick lovers with this product, and I don't need to apply lip balm before I slick on this tube of loveliness. It's so moisturizing and so nice. I love it! To boost up the red in the lipstick, I line my lips and slightly blend with NYX lip liner in Deep Red. The two shades work beautifully together.
Lipstick -Revlon - Colorburst Lip Butter - 080 Strawberry Shortcake
darkskinsexylips 3/14/2012 8:14:00 PM
First of all, I love Revlon Lip Butters. I have a whole bunch of them thanks to a local pharmacy having a BOGO sale. I bought Strawberry Shortcake because I have a love for light pink lip shades and this was no exception. However, exception!! Once on my pigmented lips, this shade becomes more like a very sheer pale-ish pink than the sweet bubble pink that originally attracted my attention. How disappointing. On a positive note, the creaminess and moisturizing quality of the lipstick is undeniable. And, since this lippie is so darn sheer, I can just slick it on sans mirror whenever my lips need some moisture. So, all is not lost here, but I will not repurchase.
Unfortunately, this was LE, so I can never purchase it again unless it is repromoted. This is a gorgeous pink-coral shade with gold shimmer. More pink than coral. I love it and I wear this during every season. I am MAC C8 and this looks beautiful against my complexion. I love Chanel blushes. I also have Plum Attraction which was also LE. A beautiful medium to dark plum. Gorgeous!!!
New to the Canadian market, this gloss is a plumping gloss that lightly tingles upon application. I have had this on for about 25 minutes and my lips are still tingling. So if you don't like the tingle, then this isn't for you. And my lips don't look any fuller, so it's a bit of a waste in that department. For those of you with less than voluptuous lips, beware because this gloss comes with a sponge wand that is considerably larger than the average sponge wand applicator. Remember MAC's Wonder Woman line? The applicator for this gloss is exactly the same size as the lip glasses in the WW line which were quite large. My lips are full, so the sponge tip is perfect for me. As for applying the gloss, a little goes a long way. I only needed to do one swipe on my bottom lip and then rub my lips together to get a very nice overall coating of gloss with decent pigment. As for the texture, if you don't like the feel of vaseline, then this gloss is not for you. It feels just like a creamy, slightly thicker version of vaseline on the lips, which I do not have a problem with. It is non-sticky and quite moisturizing. I have yet to try it outdoors in the cold winter weather, but I think it will stand up quite well to the winds. The scent? Well, if you do not like scent of vaseline, you really should avoid this because to me, this smells exactly like vaseline which really doesn't bother me. So, if you don't mind tingling, vaseline-y lips with some colour, then try it.
Wow, really mixed reviews on this product. I love it! I love purples and the purple shades are wonderful and last 10+hours (no creasing) w/out primer! These last as long as my Dior shades. As for pigment, these are the same as my Chanel which go on somewhat sheer and can be built up to more opaqueness. With this palette, one layer is sheer and opaqueness can be controlled. This 8-shade palette was less than $5cdn. If this isn't a great deal, then I don't know what is! If I hit pan on this and it is not d/c'd, then I will repurchase. If WnW comes out with more varieties of palettes like this one, then I will not be heading to my local HE store for more Dior and Chanel. Actually, since buying this and the WnW blues palette (which I have yet to try), I haven't even considered looking at other HE shadows. This is the best deal and bank account friendly! I should add that the SA at the Clarins counter complimented me on my make-up. I was wearing a combination of shade #2 and #3 (eyelid and crease shades in the left column). The shades really do look lovely together.
Just bought this in the shades for brown eyes. At this point, I have only had this on my lids for less than an hour, so I will just comment on the application. I am not sure about the other shades, but the light aqua blue shade does not apply well on the lids. It feels dry and the colour pay-off is nil. However, if you use the tip of your finger and rub it onto the shadow stick and then apply it onto the lid, the colour pay-off and application is much better. This is also better because there is no rubbing and tugging of the eyelids. The colour itself is a nice light aqua blue shade with a bit of frosty shimmer. I am a MAC C8 in complexion and this shade on me is light, but still noticable and very pretty. I can wear this to the office, out for brunch, or out for dinner. I have yet to try the other shade which is a shimmery and light buttercup shade.
After knowing about this perfume for over 20 years, I finally started wearing it after receiving a bottle as a gift. I love this scent and I wear it nearly everyday. A girlfriend of mine wore it all the time in high school. I do consider this to be a more sophisicated scent, but that doesn't mean anything. Anyone can wear it. I think it smells beautiful, that is all that matters.
I bought Persistent Pink. I have never tried these lip stains and they are on sale at my local pharmacy for an astounding $1.29cdn! Extremely inexpensive. They normally sell for about $5.99cdn, so this is a really great sale. And, I am on the tightest budget ever (also, I am supposed to be on a lip product no-buy), so this fits the bill for me. I love light and soft pink lip shades, so I decided that I had nothing to lose by trying this product. This wears nicely. Not sure how long it will last yet, but I was able to apply it nice and even. I put my lip balm over it and it looks great! I rub my lips together and it stays put! I can apply the stain and just go about the rest of my day with just a lip balm or a nice shimmery lip gloss. At this price, I am going to go back and get a back-up for this shade and pick-up a few of the others that caught my eye. I can buy a some nice shades and still pay less than $10!! Talk about being economically savvy!
A new review of this product is long overdue. This is the absolute best foundation product ever! Pur Minerals 4in1 Pressed Mineral Powder is perfect. It has a mineral base, it's an excellent concealer, it provides amazing coverage all over the face, and it has an spf of 15. I am on my second compact and if this ever gets discontinued, I do not know what I will do because there is no other foundation that can do for me what this can. My shade, deep, is not the easiest to find, so to ensure that I am covered for the year, I need a back-up. This is it for me.
I love this product. I have virtually no brows at all. I change my look a lot. This product is fabulous and I use the darkest shade which I believe is dark brown. I can create brows or just add to what I do have. My face is a canvas!
I love this light, soft, and opaque lavender colour. The only issue I have with it is that it's a cremesheen and I do not like the texture of cremesheens. I think they are too drying, but this shade is just fabulous. I love to wear it even without a lipliner. There are some LE lipsticks that MAC should just make permanent and this is definitely one of them. The shade is a very light lavender, so you know that it is a cool tone as opposed to warm. I am MAC C8 and I can really pull it off with my complexion. I wish I had picked up a back-up because I have not seen a proper dupe.
Lip Liners -NYX - Slim Lip Pencil - Purple Rain 838
darkskinsexylips 12/31/2011 8:27:00 PM
I have been eyeing Purple Rain for a few months. I've been wanting to get it, but couldn't justify buying a lip pencil that I thought I would not use a lot. Well, lately I have been on a pink and purple lippy fix. There is currently a sale going on with NYX cosmetics at Pharma Plus, and I decided to buy this for $3.74cdn. I am so glad I got this. This shade is nearly identical to MAC's Style Curve lipstick (of which I have two). And, it goes beautifully with every blue-based pink lipstick and gloss I own. I will definitely get another lip pencil in this shade while it is still on sale.
