Liquid -By Terry - Cover Expert Perfecting Fluid Foundation

I was hoping I loved this product as I absolutely love the Plumping By Terry foundaiton (teint declatation)... But I HATED it.... No matter how I applied it, fingers, sponge, or brush and no matter what primer I used underneath it, it looked horrid!!! It is a matte finish foundation but it balled up on my skin giving a really uneven coverage. It looked patchy and provided only about a medium coverage... If you tried to layer more it just turned into a bigger disaster!!! I wish I could have loved it... I really wanted to.... But it loses my vote, especially at AUD$98. In the end I gave it to my mum who is not as fussy as me when it comes to foundation. A pump packaging would be nice, never a fan of screw lids as they get all gunky and when you screw the lid back on it often gets covered in foundation and messy!

Crème -Chantecaille - Future Skin

I bought this product against my better judgement I believe.... After reading reviews on here before I out-layed the $105 AUD price, I already had doubts whether or not I would like this product. I even looked at youtube videos of this product and it looked AMAZING! However not so on my skin. It made my skin look so dull, no glow at all which made me so disappointed because everyone raved on about how amazing it made their skin look and how it glows. The colour match of Alabaster for my NC15-20 skin was pretty good but I just feel so yuck with this foundation on. I almost feel it makes my skin look like I havent slept... I've applied with a beauty blender sponge; horrid, I applied with my fingers; slightly better... I'm going to try it out with a flat foundation brush but I don't think I am going to get the results I really want. Over-all disappointing for $105...

Liquid -Christian Dior - Diorskin Nude Skin-Glowing Makeup SPF 15
rated 5 of 5

I am currently in love with this foundation... I have been in search of that illusive foundation that is glowing but not oily or sticky and has decent coverage and colours. I have never been a fan of the matte look but i found dewy foundations just too oily for my combination skin! But this foundation is just AMAZING for that glowing look without that oil slick!! I love the way it glides on and looks amazingly healthy. Like new skin but better... Like NUDE skin!!! It truely lives up to its promises... I use it with illamasqua's matte primer first and it seems to just sit flawlessly for all the day! It hasn't split, broken down or disappeared at all, even after long days at work and in airconditioning. I found its fine to apply with brush or fingers. My favourite is buffing it in with the Shu Umura foundation brush (the goat hair one) and setting it with Shiseido Translucent Loose Powder. I have to blot during the day, but its usually only once! Which is pretty amazing with the way my nose can get oily in the harsh Australian summer. I also found the colour amazing. Finally they make yellow bases here in aus!!! We never get the yellow bases but finally we got them and shade 021 suits my summer nc20-25 skin perfectly with a healthy glow. Right now with this foundation I love to use the dior nudeskin glow-enhancing powder (really light bronzer) to warm me up and make my glow even more healthy. I think this may be the only one of my 34 or so foundations (yes i'm addicted) that i will finish the entire bottle and re-purchase!!! Can't wait!!!

Liquid -Giorgio Armani - Maestro Fusion Makeup
rated 4 of 5
darkangelslave 11/5/2012 12:36:00 AM

I am a foundation junkie, to date i have 45 different foundations from as many brands... When I read the articles on this product before it came to Australia, I knew I wanted to go and try it. It felt AMAZING! It blended into my skin on my hand well and smoothed on. I have used GA luminous silk before and reacted badly, but this one is ok on my skin. I used number 3 in LS and so on the advice of the BA i got #3 in maestro too as she said it would go half a shade darker after a while. (Don't believe this, it went half a shade LIGHTER not darker). Number 3 is slightly pale for me, so should have gotten number 4 for summer and maybe 3 for winter. So this bottle will be waiting until i get to winter. Ok time to end the babble, here are my pro's and cons: PRO'S: amazing texture that melts into skin Nice semi-matte finish that looks really natural buildable (truely) i took mine from sheer to full in 3 coats nice bottle design, hygienic and cute designed to be applied by fingers (YAY!) CONS not very moisturizing even on normal skin sinks into all of my pores if I dont use a silicone based primer first gathers in dry patches (even if your skin doesnt feel dry, you will notice dry patches after applying this) cannot be used with a brush (i've tried, it just dries too fast) missing some 'glow' sometimes looks a bit flat overall, for the price, i'm slightly disappointed with it's performance. I expected it to be uber-awesome and was slightly let down. It needs a little more moisture and in my opinion needs some more "glow". Its semi matte but sometimes it looks just too flat! Would sit nicely on those with already nice normal skin. Due to not being able to wear this without a primer, I would not repurchase.

Ok there are so many loves to list so I'll do it in dot points: Pros: - love the pump and classy bottle - love that they finally have a better colour selection for warm skins (that aren't orange) - love that it doesn't sit in the lines around my mouth or lines of my eyes - love the compliments I get when I wear it - doesnt separate or oxidize on my skin - warm tones (I'm NC20 and wear this in BD20) -sheer but flawless - thinking about wearing it on my wedding day :) - beautiful smell and feel on the skin, very light weight Cons - for dry skins (which is ok for me but maybe not others) - not super long wear but that's ok with me

LOVE I, LOVE IT, LOVE IT!!!!! I can't begin to describe how amazing this foundation is! Well worth the $154 AUD price tag!!! The feeling as it goes on is just surreal and it lasted all day for me with just a light setting of siseido loose powder. It didn't emphasise any of my flaws (open pores etc.) and made me look radient as ever!!! I have it in number 3 which looked really dark in the bottle for my pale olive skin (NC15), but amazingly when i applied it, after about 10min it settled to my exact colour.. Smell is lovely and everything else i find perfect (finish, texture, lasting power). I originally bought this as a celebratory thing (just got a promotion at work) and my first use of it was for a family photo shoot :) The foundation made me look airbrushed and AMAZING. I would buy another bottle in a heart beat!!! Maybe not a foundation I would wear everyday because of the price tag. But definitely a treat that will be staying in my makeup collection!!!

Liquid -BeneFit Cosmetics - "Hello Flawless!" Oxygen Wow
rated 5 of 5

First of all I would buy many many many bottles of this product and this is why: Pros: - the texture of this is AMAZING (so much so i would compare it to my $174 by terry fdn) - Coverage is medium - full and can be built up without caking - Goes AMAZING with most primers (I've used benefit, too faced, lancome, shiseido) and it doesn't split - Great colour range (the honey ones can be a little too orange) but for my pale yellow based skin the lightest shade of Ivory is AMAZING and a perfect match!!! - Packaging is eco-friendly, the pump is hygienic and simple - Radient finish even with a light dusting of loose powder - Lasts all day long!!! Cons: - Colour range in the medium colours are slightly too orange This foundation rivals many that I have tried :) Really happy with this purchase and for $55 (AUD) I am really impressed. It does sit in my dry area's at times but thats due to my crazy winter skin. But I would buy bottles and bottles of it...

Liquid -Napoleon Perdis - Sheer Genius
rated 3 of 5
darkangelslave 5/3/2012 8:22:00 AM

Not sure as to what to think about this foundation. After fairly good reviews on here about it gliding on easy etc. I bought it (Luckily for me at 40% off). I am unsure, I stippled it on and it looked heavy and zinc like. I put it on with a sponge and it dried too quickly to blend, also it highlighted my dry spots HORRIBLY. I was dissapointed in the fact that this foundation was advertised as a "radiant finish", don't be fooled, even without powder its as matte as matte can be. It made me feel really flat and dull. I've tried multiple primers underneath and it doesn't smooth on nicely. I haven't tried it with the Napoleon Auto-Piolet primer because it breaks me out. So at the moment until i can discover the right pre-foundation routine for this product I can only give it 3 stars. It earned that because I love the fact it's oil free (like all of Napoleon's foundations), the colour (Look 1) is PERFECT for my fairly light yellow based skin and the texture is amazing. I just wish the finish was as amazing as the texture. Will keep trying to apply it differently until I hit the right routine, and will keep you posted!!!

Primer/ Corrector -Too Faced - Primed & Poreless Skin Smoothing Face Primer
rated 5 of 5
darkangelslave 2/3/2012 7:39:00 AM

Bought this on a whim at my Myer city store. Went in to look at some Bobbi brown foundation (and wasn't impressed) so I was walking around and stumbled upon the too faced counter. The lady was so lovely and offered to do my foundation etc for me. She used this primer on me under the flawless face foundation and I fell in love at first sight! My skin looked so smooth, so gorgeous! Not to mention 6 hours later and after a sweaty 8 km run my skin still looked as fresh and as gorgeous as it did when she applied it :-) was also impressed with the results when I applied it the next day (I bought the primer, foundation and powder) Best primer I have ever tried, even sad it beats my guerlain meteorites primer!!! But I love it! Will definately be buying it again.

Liquid -Giorgio Armani - Luminous Silk Foundation
rated 2 of 5
darkangelslave 1/19/2012 5:58:00 AM

Absolutely disgusted with this product. Where to start??? The sales assistant treated me like i couldnt afford to buy the product and thus treated me like i didn't exist. WORST customer service ever! And when you are paying AUD $90 for a foundation i expect that i am treated like any other paying customers!!! Pros: Not many, if anything the luminosity was nice. covered pores well colour was PERFECT!!! DAMN IT!!! (was number 3, i have very pale yellow/olive toned skin) Cons: zinc-like and REALLY hard to spread made me itchy Flaked after 20min and appeared dry with just a really light powdering 3 different primers underneath made no different Needless to say its getting returned tomorrow!!!! SO DISAPPOINTED!!! Looking into maybe a laura mercier foundation? But i still get the best results out of my Shiseido dual balancing (O20) or Shu Umura smoothing (774)..... and they are much cheaper!!!

Liquid -Shu Uemura - Face Architect Smoothing Fluid Foundation
rated 4 of 5
darkangelslave 7/23/2011 1:25:00 AM

I bought this product yesterday after seeing such rave reviews about it on here. I am a very light yellow based skin tone and the lady at the counter suggested this in 784. Which looked fine in store, but a tad too pale in normal light. Probably would have been better with 774. Aside from that i really can't say i like this product, i really wanted to love it after all these reviews but to be completely honest it provided less coverage than my Dior Hydra Tinted moisturiser!!! I was really disappointed with the coverage it was almost completely sheer when applied with a sponge!!! With my fingers wasn't much better, I still wouldn't go as far as saying it was a medium coverage. So for that aspect I was really upset. It has a lovely texture and smell but the coverage for me was pretty poor. I have really great skin (a few lil scars from severe eczema as a child) and no break outs and barely any redness. But it just didn't cover as much as I would hoped. If your looking for something just basic for everyday then i would recommend it if you like the feel of a TM. Finish is a little too matte (it says semi-matte but to me was more on the matte side) but it did have a tiny bit of dimension (illumination) to it. I might be using this foundation to mix with some of my darker ones but i can not say that i am sold on it. Thats why i couldn't see myself re-purchasing this product. I have only used this product twice, so i will update if i suddenly discover something to love about this product but for now, an ok foundation for daily use with very sheer coverage. UPDATE: Finally got to go back and get the right colour. Was matched at 784 but it made me look like Casper the ghost... Got 774, much better match for my skin tone. Now, instead of applying this with my hands or a sponge (way too light of a coverage, almost none to me) I applied it with the new Shiseido angled foundation brush. SO MUCH BETTER!!! Not only did i get a medium coverage, it looked flawless and gorgeous!! Used it with Shiseido's pore smoothing corrector primer and remained shine free for 6hrs before i had to blot. Did not set this foundation with any powder after i applied it either! Pretty impressed i must say!!!! I love Japanese (Even though i am Australian (italian heritage), but VERY yellow in skin tone) products so this one, though not my HG foundation, is definitely a fantastic product for every day or for when you just want to look fresh. Could not believe how many complements I got when i wore this foundation :)

Powder -Unlisted Brand - Buff'd Cosmetics - Original Mineral Foundation
rated 5 of 5
darkangelslave 5/26/2011 6:57:00 AM

I am a cosmetics addict and i have so many foundations. I have tried it ALL.... And I absolutely love this product!!! I have never really likes mineral foundations because they were too much effort applying layer after layer just to get full coverage and then looking pastey and cakey. This MMU is nothing like that! Just one application gives me very close to full coverage and doesnt look flaky at all!!! I have fairly good skin that is pretty much free from blemishes, but i have terrible scarring from childhood eczema and lots of broken capillaries. This product is fantastic to cover all my issues.I have it in both Beige light and olive light and i can wear both without it looking any different to my natural skin colour, however i like the olive light in summer. Their blush as well is fantastic, but i will put that in another review. If you are thinking of giving it a go, get some samples and go for it. They will last you FOREVER!! Plus they are an inexpensive way of finding your shade! Definitely recommended this to all my friends. I hope you love this product as much as i do! only con i can think of is that it needs a lid that closes or a sifter that closes like Bare Minerals so that the product doesnt come out during travel..

Liquid -Lancome - Photogenic Lumessence Light Mastering & Line-Smoothing Makeup
rated 3 of 5
darkangelslave 3/22/2011 2:29:00 AM

Definitely one of my HG foundations (as i have a few that are a MUST in my eyes). Evens out my skin so perfectly. Goes on like a nice rich cream/liquid. Perfect for my dry area's and doesn't make my oily areas slip or slide. Looks fantastic all day giving a lovely dewy pretty finish. Colour range is ok (not many colours) but the number 3 is closest to my skin tone (probably just slightly pink, but not really noticeable). I usually wear a O20 in shiseido as have a warm base skin tone but extremely light skin. Love the pump dispenser as it is clean and easy and you can see how much you have left! UPDATE: Returned this after 3 weeks. Colour started to oxidize on my skin and turn bright orange!!! Not a flattering look! Maybe might repurchase if they change the formula but not for now!

Crème -Shiseido - Hydro-Liquid Compact
rated 4 of 5
darkangelslave 3/22/2011 2:23:00 AM

Love this foundation!!! Not so keen on the sponge but i use it with ecotools foundation brush and it comes out PERFECT!!! Absolutely love the coverage. I have combination (true combination, oily nose and chin, dry forehead and normal cheeks) and this covers beautifully and doesn't cake at all. Beautifully moisturising and comfortable wear all day! I do have to blot after about 4 hrs but i dont mind for this gorgeous foundation!!! I am an O20 in this compact and it matches my skin so perfectly that you cant even tell i'm wearing foundation. The packaging keeps the cream from drying out and lasts and lasts. The foundation lasts me about 4 months on average and its a tiny bit expensive to replace, but for a product this great i dont mind replacing it that often!!!

Foundations -Bare Escentuals - Bare Minerals SPF 15 Foundation in Golden Light
rated 5 of 5
darkangelslave 2/15/2011 12:54:00 AM

Absolutely love this product. Bought it without reading any reviews and am EXTREMELY happy with my purchase. Covers flaws very naturally and leaves a pretty luminous complexion. Its nice to get a foundation that matches my skin tone as yellow undertones that are true yellow (not close to orange) is hard to find. A beautiful product to wear every day :) Definitely recommended!
