Blush -Ulta - Infatuation

Got this on sale at Ulta for $4. I'm NC20-25 and this blush shows up as a true medium pink on me. There is no red/coral/brown color to this blush. Just a true pink. I totally love the pigmentation. I have red cheeks to begin with but I had no problem making this blush show up on me. Was very impressed. I also like the fact that it is so tiny (I would compare it to the size of Stila's eyeshadows) because I can carry it around. The one downside is that you do have to re-apply after 4-5 hours. But I mean, MAC blushes are like that too and they cost $18.50. The texture is really soft and blendable, not chalky at all. I'd definitely recommend this product!

Lip Gloss -MAC - Fold and Tuck

My new favorite coral lipgloss for the summer! I personally love MAC lipglasses. I think they are the best I've tried so far. They are sticky but I actually like having my glosses be sticky rather than slippery. Because it is sticky, it does last very long. The color comes out true to the tube color. I actually dab a bit of Myth underneath to make this color even more vibrant. I love how pigmented it is, awesome smell. I never buy backups but now I'm thinking I should. I'm NC20/25 with pigmented lips. I think this color would really work well on anyone. I also like the fact that it leans towards coral more than pink because I am tired of seeing 13403423 version of pink glosses. It is limited edition I believe so please go check it out!

Misc Beauty Tools -Clean & Clear - Oil Absorbing Sheets

I love these so much better than the cheap crappy paper ones like the e.l.f. ones. When I use the paper ones, i have to use at least 2-3 pieces. These are so much better, you only need one for your entire face. It gets rid of the oil. I like to use these rather than powdering my face to keep the oil at bay.

Eyeliner -Stila - Kajal Eye Liner in Topaz
rated 4 of 5

It's super creamy, better than wearing white to brighten your eye. But it's not a must-have for me, cause I wear black liner on the outer half of my lower waterline so when it blends together, it turns into this ugly gray brown color. But I agree that this is much better than white. I bought a special set on beauty crunch and this came with everything so I'm happy with it. But I would not purchase it for full price because I don't always put liner on my lower lashline to brighten my eyes.

Liquid -Revlon - PhotoReady Makeup

Oh how I wish this product worked on me. I think if you do not have perfect smooth skin (ex. bumpy spots on cheeks) this product will not look good. I actually love the little sparkles, which isn't even noticeable unless someone takes a magnifying glass to your face. The smell is much better than Colorstay. I returned it cause it just emphasized my imperfect skin. Other than that, everything was perfect, shade matched well, blends easily, price is great especially if you buy it on BOGO.

Mascara -L'Oreal - Voluminous mascara

At first, I was very turned off by how clumpy my short, stubborn asian eyelashes got. However, after a few days of opening the mascara, it'll dry out barely enough for the mascara to really prove it's effects. I also noticed how much product was on the brush and always have to make sure I scrape off the excess. Overall, great cheap mascara that holds the curl and darkens my lashes.

Eye Primer -Urban Decay - Eyeshadow Primer Potion - Original (UDPP)

Does anybody love this packaging? haha I doubt it, but what the stupid genie bottle contains inside is absolutely amazing. I love how this makes eyeshadows vibrant and outstanding compared to it being worn on its own. I have monolids so I don't worry too much about creasing, I just use this product to make my eyeshadows more pigmented. This does not blend into my skin color perfectly however (NC20/asian) Also, if you put too much on, it is visible. Be sure to blend perfectly or when you put on your eyeshadow, it'll show the uneven-ness on your lids.

Eyes -Stila - Kitten Smudgepot
rated 3 of 5
darae 3/28/2010 2:52:00 AM

I bought this because it is so multi-purpose useful. It can be used as a liner, base, highlighter so I figured the price is justified. I used this to highlight my brow bone and I started to break out. It took me a week to figure out what I was reacting to and I hated to admit it but it was definitely this product that made me get pimples under my brow bone. So now, i just use this in my inner corner of my eye. Very sparkly, champagne color. You must work fast to blend because once it dries, it will not budge. I don't know if I'd recommend. I think this product is definitely to each her own. But I could live without this, it's not a MUST for makeup addicts out there imo.

Lip Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Vintage Sister lip balms

After watching pinkiecharms review on these, I ordered them for myself. 1. Watermelon 2. Gummy Bear 3. Cherry Cola I finished Cherry Cola and ended up throwing away Watermelon because it began to smell funky. Am currently using Gummy Bear, which is my favorite! I recommend these to every chapstick junkie out there. It's absolutely fabulous, great ingredients, moisturizes well, taste/smell is awesome, huge amount of product in the tin, smells true to its flavor. The only downside to these would have to be the packaging. I don't know too many people who like to dig their fingers into their makeup, is just not sanitary but I will turn a blind eye to this because what the tin contains is just too great!

Lip Gloss -Lancome - Juicy Tubes - Magic Spell
rated 3 of 5
darae 3/28/2010 2:39:00 AM

I bought this after I tried my friend's and absolutely loved it. But I wish I did not rush to buy it because stupidly I did not realize how sheer juicy tubes are. They taste and smell wonderful (not that I eat my lipglosses, but you can't help how they kind of seep into your mouth anyway) Pros: Taste/Smell Lasting Power Amount needed (seriously I've used this a lot and it's not disappearing, and you only need a tiny bit to get that glossy effect) Cons: Price (too expensive; could find something at drugstore) Packaging (I just am biased, I prefer lipglosses with wands) Too Sheer

Blush -MAC - Mineralize Blush - Dainty
rated 1 of 5
darae 3/28/2010 2:35:00 AM

My first blush every in my entire life and I absolutely hate it. I'm NC20/asian with slightly flushed cheeks and this blush is so sheer that you cannot even see it. On top of that, whenever I put this on, it seems to irritate my skin and 'rash-like' bumps appear where I applied. Gave it to my mother and she seems to love it. Please try at the counter and see if you have a reaction to it. I purchased Peachykeen and it's my absolute favorite blush and am glad that the normal blushes do not irritate my sensitive skin. And it's so pigmented that Peachykeen actually shows up on my cheeks.

Lip Treatments -eos - Lip Balm Sphere - Summer Fruit
rated 2 of 5
darae 3/28/2010 1:55:00 AM

I was at Rite-Aid picking up a few things and I happened to see this chapstick and I just had to pick one up because of all the raves I heard about it. I was debating between the honeydew(?) one and summer fruit and chose this because I do not care too much for honeydew. This smell is absolutely fantastic! If you've ever been to a japanese market and bought their candies, this is what it smells like. Almost like those lychee flavored candies. However, the downside is that it is not at all moisturizing. Worse than regular chapstick I'd have to admit. You know when you put chapstick on and it feels really waxy that you've got to pile it on, this is 10x worse. It feels so waxy and hard and when you put it on, it feels like you didn't put anything on at all. Would not recommend to others, I think if it was in a normal tube, people would not be head over heels about this. If you need a chapstick, do try Yes to Carrots, it's one of the best chapsticks I've tried. It's what I wanted normal chapstick to be for me but better. Super moisturizing, no funky taste, lasts forever.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Texture
rated 5 of 5
darae 3/28/2010 1:31:00 AM

I originally bought this eyeshadow to use as a transition color which it is absolutely wonderful for. it makes any smokey black eye look much softer. however as i do not do smokey eyes every day i had neglected this color. now that summer is coming up, i really wanted an all over the lid color to look as natural and sun kissed as possible and this color is perfect for me! i was so shocked when i tried it on and put a little bit of carbon, the next time i used it, i put a little bit of club to create depth and i was like "my goodness where have you been my whole life?" i do recommend this color to others as well, i actually put this color on using my fingers. very easy to blend, or pile the color on. im nc20/asian and this is definitely a staple for me. i'm not quite sure if it would show up on darker skin tho so i'd def try it on at the mac counter first

Lotions/ Creams -Bath and Body Works - Japanese Cherry Blossom Hand Cream
rated 1 of 5
darae 1/21/2010 12:09:00 AM

i'm so upset that i bought 3 of these. now i'm trying my best to get through them. well it has a musky scent that i love but these hand creams are not moisturizing at all. before i used johnson and johnsons baby lotion melt away stress one, and that one is 99cents for the travel size and it contains 2 oz. the hand cream i have is from long ago and it is 4 oz for $12. i know they changed the packaging, now it's 2.5oz for $10 which is just so retarded. i mean i'm paying 10x more for something that doesn't even moisturize my hands? it took me a while to get through the johnson and johnson 2oz. but i'm pretty sure i'll get through these quick because i have to reapply ALL THE TIME. when u first apply, it has that greasy feel that does go away in about 5 min. and i mean go away as in it does not sink into the skin and keep them soft/moisturized. i don't know where it's going!!! lol seriously it's like magic. i definitely will NOT be wasting my money on bath and body work hand creams any longer. 1 lippie for the pretty packaging cuz i am a sucker for packaging :P

Eyeliner -L'Oreal - HIP Color Truth Cream Eyeliner in Black
rated 1 of 5
darae 4/3/2009 6:02:00 AM

i bought this at ULTA bogo in black. i tried it today and it smudged horribly. the liner ended up on my lower lash line. i guess i just have oily lids. also it wasn't that pigmented. i had to layer it on for it to come out true black. i did not use the brush it came with because it just seemed useless. i've never used mac fluidline but now i'm going to give that a try. i was very disappointed because i thought this would be a good product. also it stung my eyes a little. so be careful when you use it.
