This is NOT waterproof. It doesn't hold a curl. The formula is too wet and smudges everywhere as it takes a while to dry. Doesn't make my eyelashes grow (I didn't purchase this product for this, though). It is not dark enough. Although I did buy this on sale, they usually sell this for about $27 dollars here in NZ and it is absolutely not worth it. I am disappointed. Will never repurchase.
Eyeliner -Maybelline - Eyestudio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner

I have this in brown and black. THEY ARE AWESOME. I actually really love the brush that it comes with. It's stiff and pointy and I find that I can apply this eyeliner perfectly with it. With the brown one I use it mostly for my lower lash line and... my eyebrows. Haha. I have dark hair, almost black and the brown colour of the eyeliner is perfect for filling in my brows. It doesn't smudge and stays on all day and sort of also acts to keep my brow hairs in place. Ah, it's just perfect! And yep, I use the brush it comes with - although it has blunted and softened up because of how I use it on my eyebrows. I have another brown one for my lower lash line. After I apply the black on my top lashline and tightline I use the brown to balance out the top and it gives a perfect defined look without making my eyes look like they're rimmed in black. After those steps I just coat my lashes with mascara and BOOM my everyday makeup look :) depending on the day/night I like to thicken/thin out the black eyeliner on top. These gel liners are perfect. And so much cheaper than higher end brands. I will forever be repurchasing. :D
I got this because my feet were looking rather pale compared to the rest of my body which is pretty tanned all year round. It made my feet orange - I think because I put a really thick layer on before sleeping. It was quite hilarious. But after this incident I used thin layers everyday/every few days and this worked a whole lot better. So do not put a whole bunch on at one time people! :P I like the smell as I put in on but once it dries and starts to sink in, ooooh boy. It's like this biscuit smell. Not a pleasant biscuit smell... Like a weird floral, rotten biscuit smell. If I sleep with it on, my bed smells like it, eurgh. But overall it is a decent product. I wouldn't buy it again though.
Shampoo -Clairol - Herbal Essences for Dry/Damaged /Color Treated Hair

Favourite shampoo ever. I love the smell so, so much. I always end up coming back to this shampoo and its conditioner. They are still selling it in stores where I live - phew! It cleans my hair nicely and leaves it smelling awesome for the next 2-3 days, until I wash it again.
BB Cream -Garnier - BB Cream Miracle Skin Perfector - Medium/Deep

I am on my second bottle of this however since the oil free formula came out I will not be repurchasing this product. It does have that greasy feel that everybody goes on about. But as a girl with oily skin it actually wasn't too bad for me. It gave my skin a dewy glow once on. Although after about six hours it would leave me looking a little shinier than usual. But by then I would be taking it off anyway.
I apply this with my fingers and find that it blends into my skin really nicely. It almost feels oily when applying it because it's just so smooth! It gives a very, very matte + flawless finish and I don't set it with powder because the matte effect tends to stay for a long while - so the staying power is excellent in my opinion. The only downside is the shade I got matches me perfectly in person but when photographed, the flawless finish of the foundation somehow disappeared... I don't even know how that works. Also, when photographed it made me look a bit washed out compared to the rest of my body. This is a shame because I can't see myself wearing this foundation out on a daily basis as the coverage is really high so I thought it was perfect for parties or similar events (when photos aren't taken it is perfect haha).
I was really annoyed when I opened this product, the lid was on so tightly and when I finally got in to open my fingers just smushed the blush and it was no longer that round dome shape. I guess that's my fault though. Hahaha. But still I'm not too impressed with the packaging. This blush goes on pretty pigmented but wears off in less a very small amount of time. I like that it is oil-free though. I wouldn't repurchase simply because there are many more blushes out there that I can get my hands on.
This is a mascara I would repurchase constantly, just because it is such a... Normal mascara. It's just nice to have this one lying around to use when I see it. I always buy it in waterproof and it is one mascara that I always seem to have with me. I do think it dries out quite fast though, which is strange because with every tube I've bought it starts off being very wet.
I love the red and blue colour of the tube! The reason I use waterproof mascaras is because I am a contact lens wearer and they tend to flake less. This mascara is waterproof but not too waterproof to the point where it is hard to get off with make-up remover. It comes of easily and leaves my lashes pretty soft (for a waterproof mascara) during the day. It really does define every lash and the rubber bristles grab on so well to my lashes! I just love how the bristles are long and not stubby. It works really well on my lower lashes too. Usually, I coat my lashes with a layer of of Maybelline Great Lash (the one with the green and pink tube is Great Lash right?) and then go over with One by One which separtes and lengthens each lash so nicely. But I do use just One by One on many days too. I am very impressed and will forever be repurchasing this item! My favourite Maybelline mascara so far. Ugh, I just hate how drugstore mascaras are mostly $20+ here in NZ. I got One by One at a makeup sale - darn, should've bought like ten more tubes while they were on sale!
This product finally came out in stores here in New Zealand and I went out and bought myself one as soon as I saw it! I bought it in the colour medium. It was a pretty average price - $17.49 NZ dollars. First of all, I wasn't very happy with the packaging. I guess it's because the product is really runny but as soon as I opened it, so much of it just dribbled out like lava, seriously. I will not be storing it the way it is made to be stored. BUT the product itself I was impressed with. I was surprised with the amount of coverage it gave. For me, it is almost like a foundation. It has a matte finish but not too matte. Personally I think girls look ridiculous with completely matte faces because it somehow doesn't look right with their non-matte neck/shoulders etc. But this gives a almost matte and pretty natural finish - your face just looks like your face + more even and bright. I like that it has no scent. Well other reviewers have said that it has a scent but I can't smell anything. I did however like that citrus-y smell of the original bb cream. Speaking of the original bb cream... This oil-free formula is much better. Don't bother trying that one out if you're curious about both. The original is greasy and leaves you looking shiny... No, OILY.
Lotions/ Creams -Vaseline - Aloe Cool & Fresh light body lotion
dannieh00 1/28/2011 11:34:00 PM
I really like this lotion. It is very light and refreshing and gets absorbed into my skin very quickly. I don't normally like scented body lotions but I didn't mind the scent of this lotion, I thought it was nice and fresh. I liked putting it on sunburns in the summer time. I would have liked this lotion more if it was more moisturising but it is perfect for summer when you need a light moituriser.
This lotion is very runny and watery and when I put it on, it kind of just sits on thee surface of my skin making it slippery. I've been using this lotion for about a month now and I can say that it does moisturise but I didn't notice any firming. I also really don't like the smell of this moisturiser and it seems to just never fade away even after hours of putting it on. I wouldn't purchase this product again as I like to try different kinds of body moiturisers everytime I run out. :)
