Lipstick -MAC - Viva Glam IV

Raspberry/rose colored lipstick with a generous amount of gold shimmer. It reminds me of a cool version of MAC's O lipstick. Beautiful color, and for a great cause. It's a color that would look great on almost any skintone.

Nice, neutral, pinky/brown gloss with a subtle bronze shimmer. I personally like the thicker, sticky glosses, so MAC's fit the bill well. Great gloss for a great cause.

Beautiful peachy/pink blush with subtle gold shimmer. This fine milled blush goes on like a dream! Might be too light for darker skins, but it's perfect for little old LLL me!

Eyeliner -MAC - All Glitter Liners
rated 5 of 5

Who says I'm too old for glitter????? NEVER! This is a lovely way to add as much glitz to your eye as you can handle. The fine brush enables you to just dot on the glitter over your liner or on your lashes for just a spark, or pile it all over your lid for a ultra glam, glittery shadow. Eye safe, but be careful to use a good remover to ensure you don't get any in your eyes.

Most useful shades for me are spunsilver (clear base with silver/whitish glitter), Oxidate (dark brown base with gold and multicolor glitter), and Pinky Wink (pale pink base with multicolor iridescent glitter).

If you missed out on these liners, check your local CCO, or wait until they make their return in the Fall of 2005.

Lipstick -MAC - Dainty Cake
rated 5 of 5
dangerous 6/21/2005 6:42:00 PM

LOVE THIS L/S!!!! It is a pinkish/peach color with beautiful gold shimmer. Can be made to look more pink or peach depending on the liner. Why, oh WHY must this be l/e! Closest MAC l/s would be CB-96, but it's an orange base rather than the lovely and complex blend of pinks and peaches that Dainty Cake has. If you can get your hands on this l/s, don't hesitate. If it doesn't work for you, there are lots of us Dainty Cake lovers that will give your unwanted l/s a loving home.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Glitter in 3D Silver

Very pretty, but not eye safe. The sample I got looked nice in my hair, but any silver glitter from the craft store would do the trick for less money. Ben Nye has a similar, but finer glitter that has the same look to it, but because of the smaller particle size is much more useful.

Lipstick -MAC - Play It Soft

Play It Soft, where are you??? I know I put you on my lips, I can feel it. You left a really neat little trail of microshimmer and sparkle. That's really pretty, but where is the lovely pink color I see in my tube? You do know you are supposed to be one of MAC's frosts, right? MAC's frosts are supposed to be really opaque, but I can't see you at all!

MAC's dervish liner and lustrewhite lustreglass give a similar look to what's in the tube, but won't show up on my lips.

Lip Gloss -MAC - Lustreglass - Palatial [DISCONTINUED]

Finally, a truly unique l/g! It sounds strange, a fuchsia gloss with green iridescence, but it looks amazing. Goes well with MAC magenta liner. This color isn't for a neutral lover, but if you love bold color and unique looks, this is the gloss for you. Lot's of pigment (unlike most of MAC's lustreglass l/g) and it wears well. The brush applicator helps make the application precise and easy. Great one of a kind gloss!

Eye Shadow -MAC - Prose and Fancy

Wouldn't buy again because it is MAC's pro teal e/s (at least as close as I can tell). Gorgeous turquoise color, blends well, works well with most other greens and blues. It's a must have color unless you already have it in the pro teal e/s.

Eyeliner -MAC - Eye Kohl - Resort

Yuck. This pinkish purple color made my eyes look bloodshot and tired. Didn't last long on my eyes (even though most kohls last almost all day on me). Use hepcat wet as a liner for a similar, but much better color.

Lip Gloss -MAC - Magnetique

Similar to Bow Belle which I like a bit better. It's a lovely magenta / fuchsia / grape shade that MAC doesn't have in any permanent l/g.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Leisuretime

Looks like hepcat swatched on my hand, but leisuretime looks very bruise like on my eyes which hepcat does not. Not the standout shade of Belle Azure. Get Lucky Green from this collection, and pick up hepcat in place of this.

I didn't have freshwater so I bought this. Beautiful shadow - would have been rated a 5 if it wasn't exactly the same as freshwater on me. Packaging is much nicer than last years Tantress collection. Would have rather seen a repromote of parrot (I'm almost out!) than a clone of an existing (albeit gorgeous) color. I've heard it's like blue pigment too, but I don't have it to compare.

Perfection! Why oh why is it LE??? Other reviews do a better job describing the color than I ever could, so let me just say it's close to Chartru paint, but better. Very pigmented, great spring/summer color, wonderful texture, and it's LE :(

Other -Jerome Russell - Pixie Sparkle

I love this eye safe glitter! FYI, the yellow Pixie Sparkle is a dead ringer for MAC's Crystalled Yellow, and the hot pink is an exact match to MAC's Crystalled Pink. The Pixie Sparkle is an eye safe and cheaper alternative to MAC. It doesn't get any better!
