Highlighters -Aromaleigh - Perle Illuminating Powder [DISCONTINUED]
dandeliongirl 2/7/2004 2:42:00 PM
I keep wanting to do a detailed reveiw of the various shades of Perle powders from Aromaleigh but I get to playing with them then can't remember which ones I've used. These are just so much fun and look so fantastic on! They are shimmer powders but unlike so many that are more glittery, they give a soft, glowing sheen. They're perfect for us "older" women who don't want to look like we raided our daughter's makeup stash. These can be worn anywhere on the face which makes them very versatile as well. I just can't wait to do some self-tanning so I can create a really summery bronzed look.

I didn't even know I needed this brush till I bought it. It's perfect for applying powder around the eye and nose area. It's very soft and feels so nice on that delicate area. I even bought a second one to buff my eyeshadow when I want a more muted look. Definitely a keeper!

I've been using this for over a month and it's made my undereye area so smooth before applying makeup. I still like the Free Radical Serum under my eyes at night but for daytime, this stuff is great!
Eye Shadow -Aromaleigh - Pure Eyes Flaxen Matte [DISCONTINUED]
dandeliongirl 1/20/2004 9:24:00 PM
Calling this an eyeshadow is such an understatement! Here's the story: I discovered Aromaleigh and soon fell in love. It did everything I wanted and most of all, my face began to clear up. No more zits! Having spent over 3 decades as a makup junky, I'd acquired quite a stash and really liked a few things. I just couldn't bear to put most of those products on my face after going the mineral route, though. One of those things was Benefit's Lemon-Aid. When I saw flaxen on the Aromaleigh website, it made me think of Lemon-Aid. I figured it was worth a shot. Well, that was 4 jars ago and it's my most used makeup product. I use Flaxen all over my eye area to brighten. I use it under my eyes when I don't get enough sleep, to cover dark circles. I apply it on my cheeks to tone down the brown spots. I use to tone down red. Sometimes I mix it with a drop of the Aromaleigh serum to apply to any dry spots. (Especially in the winter.) This is the most all-purpose, multi-use product I've ever found.

This is the most amazing color! I never thought I'd be able to wear this; I don't even know what made me buy it. It isn't something I'd usually get. But I was drawn to this from the moment I first saw it and I'm so happy I did not resist the temptation. This is a golden frost that seems to be toned down with just a bit of green. It ends up being absolutely beautiful brushed all over the eye or (my favorite way of wearing it) applied wet on the lid. I've worn this with my natural brown eyes, my gray contacts, my dark blue contacts, my medium blue contacts.... it looks great no matter what color my eyes are. It makes my eyes seem to come alive.
Makeup Brushes -Aromaleigh - Wispy Goat Hair Fan Brush [DISCONTINUED]
dandeliongirl 1/20/2004 9:10:00 PM
I got my first fan brush at Sephora so I'll compare this one to that. I never was quite sure what to do with my Sephora fan brush until I needed to apply very lightly my Aromaligh pure rouges. (they're very highly pigmented) The Sephora fan did a fine job but this one is so much better. It's a bit thicker, longer and bigger overall. Not a lot but enough that it makes application easier. It's very soft on the skin but has enough bulk to allow control. This is a perfect brush for any PPPs who need to apply color lightly.
Makeup Brushes -Aromaleigh - Eye Shadow Blending Brush [DISCONTINUED]
dandeliongirl 1/20/2004 9:03:00 PM
I have well over a hundred makeup brushes and this is one I use every day. It's perfectly shaped for putting shadow right in the crease while gently blending the color. The hair is firm but soft which makes control easy and the feeling heavenly. I just bought a second one so I can have one to use while the other is being washed or dried.
I have several colors of this and love it. The colors are very intense but can be worn by anyone. My skin is fair (I wear 2Y in Aromaleigh) so just a tiny bit of this loose cheek color goes a long way for me. Darker skintoned ladies can simply use more. Every shad I've gotten, from nectar to scarlet, looks natural and flattering. The size is so generous I can't imagine ever needing to restock. I apply the darker colors with a goat hair fan brush for a natural sweep of color.
Palettes -BeneFit Cosmetics - Glamourette in Fickle [DISCONTINUED]
dandeliongirl 1/20/2004 8:46:00 PM
I bought this for one reason - it was cute. I've never used it thought I do think the colors in the Fickle kit are very pretty. I just don't put anything on my face but minerals now that I've found that minerals don't make me break out. Still, I'm glad I bought this. It's just as adorable as it looked on the website. I have quite a few palettes from Stila, NARS, Philosophy, etc. and while they contian more product, none are as cute as this one. I think I'll save it to pass on to my 11 year old daughter in a few years.
I can count on one hand the fragrances that I can wear that don't give me a headache. This is one of them. It smells so fresh and pretty. I don't usually like florals but this is different. It makes me feel very "girly" in a very good way.
Lip Gloss -Aromaleigh - Pure Shine Lip Gloss in Tantalize [DISCONTINUED]
dandeliongirl 1/20/2004 8:28:00 PM
I can't imagine anyone not being able to wear this red. It's such a beautiful true, neutral red. For daytime, I blot it so it's not so shiney and the color just makes my lips look just bitten. This reminded me of Vincent Longo Liquid Kiss so I dotted it on my cheeks and rubbed it in. Fantastic! This stuff is amazing.
Lip Gloss -Aromaleigh - Aromaleigh Pure Shine Lip Gloss [DISCONTINUED]

I have all of these shades and I can't beleive how wearable every color is! These last longer than any other gloss I've tried. I love the chocolately smell and the way they soften my lips. I was never a big lip gloss fan till I tried these.
Self Tanners -Paula's Choice - Almost the Real Thing-Self Tanning Gel
dandeliongirl 1/20/2004 8:18:00 PM
I have tried many self tanners and several were excellent on my body. Virtually all made me break out on my face, though, except this one. The color is very natural and best of all it didn't irritate my face at all. I could finally have a "tan" on my face that matched my body. This is my HG self tanner. I'll never use anything else to tan my face again. Oh, and I'm not a Paula follower. In fact, I don't agree with 92% of her opinions and reviews. This is just good stuff.
Treatments -Aromaleigh - Acne Spot Treatment [DISCONTINUED]
dandeliongirl 1/20/2004 8:13:00 PM
Since using Aromaleigh products, I really don't break out as often as I used to. I still relent occasionally and try some miracle for wrinkles and then my face goes whacky on me. This stuff takes care of that practically overnight. It's almost erased the huge growth on my chin (finally figured out it was from the phone at work!) which I didn't think would ever leave. Best of all, AST heals the pimples without drying out my skin. That's so important now that I'm no longer a teenager.
Treatments -Aromaleigh - Microdermabrasion Creme [DISCONTINUED]
dandeliongirl 1/20/2004 8:10:00 PM
I love my microdermabrasion machine but the cream that came with the Youthful Essence had a smell that gave me a headache and the cream with the Iskin made me break out. This is the best alternative to those creams. The scent is natural, from pure essential oils. It does the job without irritating. And those it's creamy and moisturizing, it didn't make me break out.
