Masks -Lather - Honey Moisture Mask with Propolis Extract
rated 3 of 5

You will either love it or hate it. I have a love hate relationship with this product. I used it more in the winter as my oily combo skin didn't do well with it in the summer. It has its own moisturizing qualities but I think there are other creams that do a better job. I started off using it like a mask and then rubbing the rest in. The only problem is that once you use it as mask, my skin was only able to soak in what it could and the rest just kind of sat on top of my skin making it uber greasy. Now I just use it as a night time moisturizer. My husband HATES the smell of this but to me its okay. This tub is lasting me a long while and now i just want to be DONE with the product. I have better moisturizers to help in the winter and summer. I would not be repurchasing again.

Cleansers -Nuxe - Cleansing Milk with 3 Roses (Lait Demaquillant aux 3 Roses)
rated 3 of 5
cuz101 1/16/2013 6:37:00 AM

I really like the smell. Its gentle rose smell. Not overpowering. But lets be honest here, its really a make up remover. Kind of like a cold cream. You tissue it off afterwards. I have tried rising it, and you are just left feeling like there is still a layer of oil/cream on your face. I haven't tried it with water proof eye makeup, but if it is anything like Cold Cream, it will get into my eyes and make me blurry for a few mins. It does smell great, but for the price that I am paying for it and what it is really used for, i rather just purchase drug store cold cream and be done with it. It really does smell nice or i wouldn't have given it an extra lippie. XOXO

Brows -Anastasia Of Beverly Hills - Perfect Brow Pencil in Brunette
rated 3 of 5
cuz101 1/4/2013 10:27:00 AM

I am Chinese. So this was the "closest" the MUA at sephora could get to my natural brow color. I think it wasn't really the right color. I had to use a tinted brow gel to color my brows JUST to fit the color of this brow pencil. The brow pencil is really thin and very exact. There really isn't a lot of product in there compared to other brands. I am currently using MAC's Eye brow pencil in Lingering and it looks a lot more natural annnnd without the need of a tinted brow gel. I really wanted to like Anastasia's products, but this is the second time her products have disappointed me. Plus the products are pretty expensive.

Scrubs -Pangea Organics - Facial Scrub Egyptian Geranium with Adzuki Bean and Cranberry
rated 3 of 5
cuz101 7/2/2012 9:53:00 PM

PROS: Large particles which is good for exfoliating. Organic CON: Smell - To me it smells like bad wine. (Maybe it is just my tube) I really was looking for the OTHER Pangea mask, but picked up the wrong one. It does what a scrubbing mask is SUPPOSE to do: Exfoliate. Does it give me brighter/softer skin? I didn't really see a difference.

Mascara -Helena Rubinstein - Lash Queen Feline Extravaganza
rated 3 of 5
cuz101 7/2/2012 6:58:00 AM

I have non curling thin/few Asian lashes and not a lot works for me. Currently I am using PTR's serum and that is helping with filling out my lashes a bit. I thought it was time to try some other mascaras. I have heard good things from HR, I bought her mascara a while ago and didn't feel like it did much for me. But products change, so i gave this another chance. This is currently the latest one for HR and supposedly really good. I feel like compared to my HG Dior Mascara formula it really doesn't compare. However, i really like the brush. I feel like I can work it into my lashes with fewer swipes. BUT the forumla isn't really for me. It doesn't curl. Though not much actually curls or holds the curl for Asian lashes. I find that I have to put a Japanese lash primer on curled lashes in order to maintain it. Oh yeah, this mascara is a PAIN to get off. It is really waterproof... as in you will need to use OIL based makeup remover. AND you really gotta work at it.

Lip Treatments -eos - Lip Balm Sphere - Summer Fruit
rated 4 of 5
cuz101 7/2/2012 6:47:00 AM

I like the juicy smell of this product. I have never been attached to any specific lip balm but I have changed my ways after this product. Chapstick, Burts bees or Blistex, I find myself not really reaching for any one in particular, but this EOS seems to have grown on me. I actually find myself at the end of my EOS lip balm. In the past I have always lost my lip balms, but this bright RED color/Shape is a bit hard to lose. I leave it in my purse mostly and I find myself using it time and time again. For a non lip balm person, I really like this one. I even ordered the sweet mint to try it out. I really like the packaging, the spherical application and the texture of this balm. It makes my lips feel moisturized without being Oily or mediciney or thick (Burts bees).

Masks -Borghese - Fango Active Mud for Face and Body
rated 3 of 5
cuz101 12/28/2011 11:15:00 PM

EDIT: I have been using this product for a better part of the year. I find that it is a good cleaning out mask, but not as good as Mint Julep or the Aztec Clay. If I want deep cleaning I turn to those two much more. I can't speak for added brightness or smoothness to this mud mask. But I feel it does what most clay masks are suppose to do. It just tingles (which is the extra bit that maybe gets us thinking it is working deep into the pore). It really doesn't do anything for my white heads but gets a deep enough for the clogged pores in my nose. However two/three days later they all come back. I still LOVE the sponge. It is still my mask sponge for when i want to wash any masks off. I still turn to Mint Julep or my Aztec Clay for a really good impurity purging. ORIGINAL REVIEW :Its a HUGE tub that will last forever. It does a good deep cleaning. It starts to tingle immediately upon application. The dirt in my pores do get cleaned out nicely. It is a clay mask so it will dry on your face so it will tighten on your face. WARNING: You will be come expressionless and laughing will hurt. But it does its job. I do love the sponge that comes with the bigger tub. I use that sponge as my washing- any-mask-off-my-face sponge. I usually run the sponge under the water until it is full of it and press the sponge on my face pushing all the water out and onto my face. I also really like the storage container of this mask. It really seals it in to prevent from drying out.

Masks -Elizabeth Arden - Hydrating Mask
rated 3 of 5
cuz101 12/28/2011 11:07:00 PM

Consider the price at Ross about 8 USD, it was pretty good. BUT considering that Elizabeth Arden is suppose to be higher end type, i was expecting more. Pretty big tube. It goes on nice and thick. Smells nice. Tingling and cooling sensation as the time passes. It was easy to wash off. My skin did feel more supple and softer than before, but i don't feel like it was more hydrated. I don't think it did what it claimed to do. After about an hour or two my face felt the same again.

Treatments -Ojon - Restorative Hair Treatment
rated 4 of 5
cuz101 2/9/2011 7:55:00 AM

The first time i tried Ojon it left my hair really greasy and i put it away for half a year. I decided to give it a try again. It left my hair weight down but soft, supple, shiny and extra silky. I will def buy again next time. Only con is the way it smells. It may smell good to some people but really stinks to others.

Mascara -L'Oreal - Panoramic Curl
rated 3 of 5
cuz101 2/3/2009 10:54:00 AM

Does it hold a curl after my eyelash curler: Yes Weight Down: Minimal Brush size: Tapered and small - med size Length vs Volume: Volume more Seperate vs clump: Def Seperate My quest continues to find the HG of mascaras. I like the packaging and the sleek look of the blue tube. It did hold the curl fairly well and didn't weight down my lashes. It did take several coats to volumnize my lashes. But it does do a great job of seperating. I do also like the brush, it is tapered and slightly covered and thus you can use it for the curling effect and still work in to coat the lower lashes. The brush is small enough to get the smaller inside and outside lashes as well. It isn't perfect but I would repurchase. I gave it 3 lips but i am between a 3 and a 4.

Cleansers -The Body Shop - Camomile Waterproof Eye Make-Up Remover
rated 4 of 5
cuz101 2/3/2009 10:44:00 AM

I have tried Andrea Q Eye remover pads and those that have oil layer on top of a liquid layers. I have been looking for a eye makeup remover that doesn't leave an oily film on my eyes, and is able to take off waterproof mascara. I do believe that is the MAIN test for eye makeup removers. It does a great job of taking off my eye shadows even when i use black base colors which tend to be harder to remove. BUT when we got to the mascara it was a bit tough trying to get it off. I have terribly thin short lashes and I layer on my mascara like no ones business. Most of the shakable (oily) kinds of eye makeup removers generally are able to take off the mascara after first putting the soaked pad on top of the eye for about 20 seconds. With this it was a bit more difficult, I had to kind of rub a bit more than i would have liked. However I do use this eye makeup remover when i am just removing the eyeshadow color, in order to apply another eye shadow color. It doesn't leave that oily film. I think this would be a good staple to hold as an eye makeup remover, but not my HG of makeup removers.

Mascara -Talika - Lipocils
rated 4 of 5
cuz101 8/21/2008 1:38:00 PM

EDIT: I finally tried Peter Thomas Roth's lash serum and okay yeah it is double the price but whoa what a noticeable difference and now I can't go back. Noticeably more lashes in two weeks. I was amazed. Yes it is expensive 30 some odd dollars i remembered. But I think it really does its job good. I am not sure how it is compared to Ardell (sp?) but it does lengthen a little and thicken after about two weeks. I don't think lashes go back to original shape/size after two weeks of none application. I do think it is good to continue application to keep up with conditioned lashes. After all the gunk we put on those lashes they need some loving too. I have also heard good stuff about the double lash by mavala for cheaper.

Mascara -Avon - superSHOCK Mascara
rated 3 of 5
cuz101 3/28/2008 1:36:00 AM

EDIT: I have changed my rating from 1 to a 3. I have tried this mascara on top of my Diorshow mascara which does a bit more lengthening than volumizing for my lashes. Since then I have found that adding SuperShock has added more volume to my lashes and make them look really long and noticeable. So alone I wouldn't wear it, but definately paired up with another mascara. Old review: It did not even curl my lashes! It def weighted it down. After using the curler, the lashes straighten themselves back out. I have asian eyelashes and are very straight. I read that there were fibers similar to the many fiber mascaras, so i was expecting this to be a great alternative. But I was let down and it didn't do what i expected.

Eye Shadow -Milani - Eyeshadow singles - Wet/Dry
rated 4 of 5
cuz101 3/21/2008 7:02:00 PM

Being so easily persuaded by other people. I have been on this MAJOR make up, esp eye shadow kick. I was poking around online and stumbled across Milani and some blogs about how pretty good their product was. I decided to visit my local CVS drugstore to rummage their selves for the eye shadows. They only had these shimmery Wet/Dry Runway eyes shadows. I bought 9 of them with much enthusiasm. There are a total of 12 different colors. I went home and tested them out. Now I am a Major MAC fan so I am all about the color payout. I got Shamrock (hunter green with shimmer), black out (black with silver shimmer/glitter), Lily white (white pearl), Beach sand (tan/taupe with white shimmer), royalty (hot pink with blue shimmer), Coffee Shop (copper brown), Blue Lagoon (navy blue pearl), caribbean sea shimmery baby blue, and silver charm (silver shimmer color). They go on smooth but the four lighter colors don't have as strong color payout as the darker colors. If you put them on wet the colors are defiantly a lot more vivid and close to the color it looks like. The packaging is something to be improved on. The inside applicator is crap and should be chucked. I would give a 5 for the darker colors but probably a 3 for the rest of the colors. I think my fav has been Royalty applied wet, shamrock, and black out. The darker colors do tend to stay on longer.

Treatments -Bare Escentuals - Rare Minerals
rated 2 of 5
cuz101 3/17/2008 12:22:00 AM

I purchased this product with high expectations. I have passed it by in sephora several times and read some promotional materials on it. The packaging was created to give the product a more expensive feel with the box and treatment centered inside the box. It made no sense to put a mirror on the top of the lid because it is too small to use for the purpose of application anyways. After using it for several nights and not really noticing any difference even just looking at my skin any different with it on or off. I decided that it needed to be returned to sephora. So I could invest my $60 into something else.
