Brows -Yves Saint Laurent - Duo Expert Sourcil (Eyebrow enhancer duo)
custardapple 10/21/2005 12:34:00 AM
Interesting product, and I'd love to read some tips on how to use it. I have dark brown hair and #3 is perfect for me. I have thin brows and have been using a brow pencil for ever, but it fades in the afternoon and I'm sick of constantly resharpening. This doesn't fill in any tiny gaps or create shape ( I will still need a pencil for that), but it defines and somehow makes my brows look finished and glam.

Mascara -Yves Saint Laurent - Mascara Longueur Intense

With mascara I think I will always be the black sheep (ie Great Lash is fine for me). I love this mascara! (I have it in the green/bronze shade). It really gives me sexy lashes, doesn't clump, flake or smudge, it's faultless. Love the brush too.

Polishes -OPI - Romeo & Joliet

Exactly what I was looking for (which was a dark, unique but wearable shade - I love dark reds so something a bit different). This is it! A rich dark bronzey red with a beautiful metalic sheen. Gorgeous on hands and feet.

Lip Gloss -MAC - Lipglass in Russian Red
custardapple 7/12/2005 7:23:00 PM
This is my first MAC Lipglass and wow - if they are all like this sign me up! I didn't expect to really like a red gloss - this was a present from a friend who knew I love MAC's Russian Red lipstick. But it's perfect. Goes on a dream, is not sticky, is so smooth and the applicator is lovely. The colour is a gorgeous cherry red with slight berry/pink undertones. If it's a bit too much, I blot once and it's delightful. Blot twice, and it's a beautiful pink/soft red stain. I think this is a great red for most people.

Mascara -Lancome - Amplicils
custardapple 6/27/2005 8:49:00 PM
After my Diorshow dried up :-( I looked around in my cupboard and found this mascara that I had bought on sale. I was hesitant to try it - I used to LOVE Lancome mascaras but was so disappointed by the latest Hypnose that it put me off trying Lancome again. But I'm so glad I did! Absolutely love this one! I have good eyelashes *touch wood* and this is perfect. They don't feel dry, goes on so smoothly, doesn't clump or smudge, makes them even longer and glam, but not OTT that I can't wear it during the day. Yay!

Blush -NARS - The Multiple in Riviera
custardapple 6/26/2005 11:08:00 PM
Is this REALLY dry for everyone else, or have I got a dud? While I adore the colour, a medium sophisticated rose that would be great on tanned skin, it is so dry I can hardly get any onto my skin, and when I do it's after pulling and dragging on my skin and probably taking the foundation I have on off. This is my first Multiple so I can't compare it to anything else, but I was hoping for something quite creamy that I could easily apply and also use on my lips.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Coco Pigment [DISCONTINUED]
custardapple 6/3/2005 1:50:00 AM
I am weak at the knees over this pigment. Received a sample from a lovely MUAer and I think it's time to buy the full size as it's LE. Descriptions have been spot on - a light-medium taupe that is so silky. It goes slightly lavendar-ish on me after several hours wear. I wear this on the lid with Deckchair on the browbone and it's gorgeous.

Eye Shadow -Stila - Diamond 'Lil
custardapple 5/22/2005 4:59:00 AM
Another favourite Stila shadow. It's a sheer medium grey that is so soft and fine. Great for a smokey eye but great for the day too (it seems to turn slightly blue at the end of the day though).

Lipstick -Stila - Kelly Lipstick

A pretty natural pink shade. Very smooth, soft and feels great on the lips. The paper packaging is cheap looking but a bit different to the gold/silver packaging we're used to.

Eye Shadow -Stila - Prize
custardapple 5/22/2005 4:49:00 AM
Amazing! This is a really gorgeous, must-have eyeshadow. Texture is soft, smooth and fine. Yep, it's a buttery gold shade, very versatile. It's fab on it's own or over the top of other shades, like purple and khaki (I have green eyes).

Eye Shadow -Stila - All Over Shimmer Eyes 7
custardapple 5/22/2005 4:44:00 AM
The colour is different on the eyes than it is in the jar - in the jar it's a beige taupe but on me (Stila 20 watts) it's almost a natural shimmer, just slightly darker. I don't think it's like Wheat at all. It's very fine which is fantastic and very shimmery. It did go all over my cheeks so I'll have to apply it more carefully. It didn't crease at all on me. This is a very versatile shade and I can't wait to use it with other shadows, pigments and eyeliners. The jars are cute but ridiculous to use, you have to tip some out onto the lid so it's not good when you're in a rush, and I hate the idea of wasting product. It's a pretty good price as it will last for ages.

Eye Shadow -Stila - Chime
custardapple 3/24/2005 9:04:00 PM
Chime is wonderful. It is a complex beautiful green. It looks very dark in the pan but (on me at least) goes on very sheer, almost like a wash. I build it up by applying it wet. Simply beautiful.

Lip Gloss -Stila - Amaretto Lip Glaze
custardapple 2/22/2005 8:37:00 PM
So glad I tried this because I thought it would be similar to other lip glazes, but it's a must. The smell is divine, the most delicious Amaretto/choc nut smell. The colour is gorgeous, a hint of rosy pink with tiny tiny sparkles - and I'm not someone that likes sparkles but this is enough to look really interesting. Must get another!

Concealers -Bobbi Brown - Creamy Concealer To Go
custardapple 2/1/2005 2:28:00 AM
This is so cute! It's a great size and a great concept. However, I wish it came with some kind of applicator to go with it, like a double ended brush for the concealer and for the powder. I bought a concealer brush but don't have anything small enough for the powder, so haven't even used it. What does everyone use for the powder (please PM me with ideas!). But thumbs up, I like the two different toned shades, the colour is perfect for my skintone and the consistency is really good.

Eye Shadow -Ultima II - Fade Not, Crease Not
custardapple 1/6/2005 7:10:00 PM
The bestest thing ever. So glad I was recommended this, now I've got everyone on it. Doesn't crease - or very occassionally very little - and provides a fantastic base that hold the colour all day, all night. I love wearing this on it's own during the day, it just looks lovely as it evens out the skin tone on eyelids and makes you look bright, fresh and awake. The tiny pot will last forever as you really need the slightest dab, and less is more with this product. A must-have.
