This is one of the best cleansers i have ever used. I have always had one or two break outs on my chin, however when i use this cleanser i have NONE! Controls all breakouts on my breakout prone, combination skin. It is expensive, however i recently searched for it on AUS eBay and it was available for about $30. So i will purhase there from now on.

Moisturizers -Nivea - Creme

I purchased this as i am low on cash and needed a night time moisturiser. I was scared it would cause me to break out terribly, however, i have been very impressed! I have been using it for about a week and it has made my skin so soft. I gave it a 4 as it doesn't soak into skin so well. If this did break me out i was going to splurge and purchase Clinique moisturing lotion (the yellow one) as i know that has worked for me in the past. However, this creme has caused no breakouts and i like the softness of my skin. I purchased the mexico version, $AU7 from BigW. I will pruchased again as it is cheap, provides moisture, and does not break me out. Thanks for the tip about using it as a makeup remover, fabulous! UPDATE: i have stopped using this as it made my skin too soft and then my cleanser was too abrasive. Also, made the skin around my nostrils red and raw. I think all in all it was just too rich for my skin.

Skincare - Face -MD Forte - Facial Lotion I

I would not recommend this as an AHA product. I used the bottle full and then tried Alpha Hydrox and Alpha Hyrdrox is far superior in my opinion. Post use i don't like the finish MD Forte leaves, a dry finish. I find that kind can make me break out more. I don't think as an AHA it was particularly effective. I find Alpha Hyrdox has totally cleared me up and is very effective.

Liquid -Chanel - Teint Innocence [DISCONTINUED]

Wow i love this! The woman tested this foundation and another on the other side of my face, and now that my skin has cleared up a bit i chose Teint Innocence. What i love: doesn't feel like i have foundation on, gives sheer coverage and doesn't like foundation like, very smooth. Doesn't sink into skin, keeps colour all day, easy to wash off, doesn't accentuate poors and consistent colour all over my skin. Much prefer this to Armani Luminous Skin, too oily and heavy, way too much coverage. I have never tried a sheer coverage foundation before but i am very impressed with this. Would definatly repurchase. I don't like to change my foundation unless i'm sure i can find something better. I don't think the price is too bad either.

Crème -Chantecaille - Future Skin

This is the closest i have found to Stephane Marias Creme foundation. Works really well on my light olive skin, looks completely natural and doesn't feel like i have too much makeup on. I don't wear it everyday, but it has lastest a long time, and i don't find it goes any quicker than any other foundation. Would buy it again, which is unusual as i generally like to buy something new. It isn't available in Perth, Australia, so i buy online on eBay or strawberrynet. Update: I don't like this anymore! it does get patchy, feels like you have makeup on and is ultra expensive. Now i like Chanel Teint Innocence.

Styling Products -Aveda - Purefume Brilliant Anti-Humectant Pomade

I really like this, it makes my hair oh so soft and i use it as a styling product after Jessicurl shampoo+conditioner, and thats all i need. Only need to use a very small amount, and it defines my lightly curly hair and just gives it style. Not sure about how it protects against heat, its always so hot in Aust! Not sure if anything could protect against the weather but i really do like this more than any other sticky, gooey, yucky, straw-like product out there. UPDATE 16/12/11: i have moved to a tropical climate and i still enjoy using this. It keepts my hair soft and doesn't eliminate frizz however keeps hair it nice curls.

Blush -Laura Mercier - Creme Cheek Colour in Praline

This is the first blush i have ever purchased s normally i use Natio bronzer (love it love it). I was purchasing their silk creme foundation so i decided to buy a blush as well, it works very well on my olive skin and you only need a very small amount. Would i repurchase, yes i think so as it looks natural, although of course i always like to try other things and this is only my first. love the way it is a creme so it looks so much more natural on me then powders.

Shampoo -Jessicurl - Hair Cleansing Cream

Loved it and have used it for ages, however am going to try a different Jesiscurl shampoo as i find that this is too gentle for my hair and i have to use too much product. My hair isn't that thick but there is lots of it, this would be perfect for natually thin hair.

Conditioner -Jessicurl - Jessicurl - Too Shea Extra Moisturizing Conditioner

I love love love it!!!!! What more can i say, Jessicurl shampoos and conditioners have revolutionised my hair, def likes cone/sulfate free, and Jessicurl! This conditioner is the best, even when i run out of the shampoo and use another and then this it just gives the best results. I have tried to find something else in stores so that i don't have to order online but nothing compares. Packaging could be much improved, its unhygenic and difficult to get out the amount you need. Update: still love this! been repurchasing for ages, changing to cone-free sulfate-free is the best thing i've done for my hair. Not all of them are good though, tried some cheaper products and they didn't compare.

Crème -Laura Mercier - Silk Creme Foundation

I've been searching for another creme foundation since Stephane Marias discontinued!! I would rate this as a 4-5 as a replacement, you use a very little amount which i love, it goes on for a medium-heavy coverage and lighter if you rinse the sponge first, matches my olive skin Perfectly (love that), really, its a perfect match. Can't say anything bad about this except that as a creme it doesn't have the same texture as a more liquid i guess you could say creme, so at first in can seem a just a little bit dry. I will most definatly continue to buy and probably go back to again and again, the only other foundation that could possibly interest me would be Chantecaille future skin, but its so expensive and not even available in the city i live in. Get the sales assistant to show you how to apply this and colour match you, oh and i have sensitive skin prone to breakouts and this is fine for me. Update: changed my review. i didn't buy it again, i ended up just using it up, was quite drying.

Moisturizers -Mir - Argan Oil

I love this stuff!!! I add one drop to the cleanser and one drop to the moisturiser as i am in the UK at the moment. It leaves my skin so supple. Before Mir i had the beginnings of rosacea on my cheeks, broken out, large pores and bad skin in general. Adding Argan Oil really helped the entire Mir routine for me. With Mir you have to listen to your skin, if you find something you dislike look at your diet, exercise and the way you are using the products to fix it. My acne scars are almost completley faded and nothing in 6 months has been able to do this (not BHA, AHA (apple cidar vinegar toner to be exact), Vit C...) I have to be careful to only ever use one drop and never two as when i use two i find it irritates my skin, makes it look red particularly around my eyes. The fault is the packaging, i use a dropper to get the stuff out, which is annoying as i'm always worried this will be unhygenic. Update: i think this may have started to make me break out, not sure though or maybe my skin just doesn't need it right now.

Moisturizers -Mir - Moisturizing Lotion

Update: i started using this in 2006 and i haven't found anything that can surpass it. 100% aloe vera gel does funny things to my skin, makes it dry or something- actually i just read on the skincare board that it doesn't if you massage it in, so there we go! I recently purchased Clinelle and i thought i would love it but it is no good, have tried different things along the way as Mir is expensive for me, I live in Australia and i'm a student, but i think i'm going to have to start putting money aside in a special Mir Bank Account as the other things just mess up my skin. Original Review: I LOVE THIS!!! My skin is sensitive and acne prone and before i started using Mir i had the beginnings of rosacea on my cheeks, broken out, uneven, yuck skin. I can't pick a favourite Mir product but lets start by saying this is the only, and i mean the only, moisturiser i've ever used (apart from 100% organic aloe vera gel) that hasn't broken me out. Fabulous, and when other people compare it to La Mer i can understand why. My skin feels so great with it on and when i add Argan Oil (one drop only, do not add two as this creeated red bumps around my eyes) it clears acne and bumps on my skin, completely regulating it to glowing and no redness! The Mir routine is also really starting to help reduce my pores, love it. Wouldn't use anything else unless i was so sure it could be better, and even then would only patch test for weeks just in case. Yes this is a glowing review and perhaps i've gone a bit mad but it is just so frustrating have a fear of moisturisers , senstive skin needs moisture and this totally does the trick. Oh and i find i don't need very much at all, just smooth it over my skin. Update: after many expensive repurchases i stopped using this, was finding it broke me out in little bumps on my forehead. Now i use A.S.A.P. Night Cream. AHA's have turned out to be very good for skin, keeps me clear and doesn't irritate. This i found didn't keep me from breaking out.

Toners -Mir - Mir Skin Refresher

So this neutralises the Ph of your skin, i tried the routine without it and wow my skin just doesn't look the same! i use it as a toner and love it. The only problem is it seems to go quite quickly, i need to find less absorbant cotton wool pads and then it would be perfect! so yes well worth while applying properly to save on product. Update: have used this for ages now, howver recently got my Clinique mild clarifying lotion out of the cupboard as in the summer my skin needs some mild exfoliation every day with bha to clear it up, this toner wasn't stringent enough.

Cleansers -Mir - Cleansing Gel

I love this. My skin before using Mir was the beginnings of rosacea on my cheeks, broken out and red. You don't need to use that much, just a think layer over your face. It clears away redness and could never break me out. I loved it on its own however now i mix it with a drop of Argan Oil and i find this gets rid of my acne and any bumps as well as leaving my skin really supple. You massage this into your face first, moisturing your finger tips if necessary and then continue to massage as you rinse. In the AM i usually massage a little more before lightly patting my face on a towel, in the PM i use no towel and continue to massage a dripping wet face until dry. I find this helps to clear my skin. You will really like this from the beginning, and as with everything from Mir you need to listen to your skin, learn to use simple methods such as massage, diet, exercise, appropiate temp water and treating your skin gently. I will never use anything but Mir again, i treat my skin gentle and immediatly as well as over time it relaxs to normal, glowing, healthy and happy skin :) Update: i have started using a different cleanser at night time to get my makeup off with, had some samples of Dermalogica anti-bac and i quite like it, will still use this in the morning and it works fabulously!

Skincare - Face -Mir - Mini Mini Mir

Let me begin my Mir reviews by stating i will never use anything else on my skin again. Read everything on the website: www.coolessentials.com so that you have an understanding of her holistic philosophy. Before i began Mir i had the beginnings of rosacea on my cheeks, blackheads, broken out skin and pimples that would just not go away. I purchased the very reasonably priced sample kit (i am in the UK by the way), in adorable packages that i now use whenever i travel. They are fantastic. They never spill and you have everything you need. I loved Mir from the very beginning despite being so scared that my sensitive skin would break out from any of the ingredients. This did not happen, not even with Argan Oil. My routine is as follows:
I wash with the Gentle Gel Cleanser (you only need a small amount, no need to over use, if you read the website it tells you just a thin film covering your skin followed by slightly damp fingertips if it is difficult to spread). At first i just massaged it into my skin and then massaged throughout washing. Now i have customised the routine in adding a single drop of Argan Oil as this clears my blackheads better and any acne. After i have massaged rinse i do not towel dry my face but continue to massage until dry. I find this also helps clear any acne and leaves my skin supple. Then i lightly wipe over the Skin Refresher which seems to really help my skin, Gisele states it regulates the pH balance, so perhaps this is why. Afterwards i apply the moisturiser. At first i did not add Argan Oil, however when i do so the bumps of my skin clear as does the blackheads. If i can be bothered i spot treat with Argan Oil by massaging it in. So i'm not going go stupid and say i now have "perfect" "glowing" skin, however i really believe it glows!! The only time i breakout is when i'm naughty in my diet, and all the redness has gone. Mir has cleared my acne and acne marks and i would never use anything else on my skin again. Please note that other things i feel make a huge difference to my skin is taking Omega 3,6,9 my BC Pill, exercise and a very healthy diet. Give Mir a go and provided you are not allergic to anything you will never regret it!!!!!
