Eye Shadow -NYX - Jumbo Eye Shadow Pencil - Cottage Cheese
cuonbroadway 10/3/2012 1:57:00 PM
I bought this to throw in my purse as an on-the-go highlighter. It's great! I've used this to highlight my brow arches, my inner corners on my eyes, bridge of the nose, and the cupid's bow. It's a great thing to throw in my purse, and I haven't had any issues with it melting when I leave it in my car.

Powder -Revlon - ColorStay Aqua Mineral Makeup
cuonbroadway 10/3/2012 1:46:00 PM
This is my first mineral foundation, and so far I like it. I have received several complements from friends and perfect strangers about how nice my skin looks wearing this. I do have to wear concealer underneath because there isn't enough coverage in the powder to conceal dark spots or blemishes. There is some sparkle in the product that I can see when I swatch it on my hand, but it's not visible on my face. I'm pretty pleased with this product and may repurchase later when I run out.

Eyeliner -L'Oreal - Extra-Intense Liquid Pencil Eyeliner
cuonbroadway 10/1/2012 9:58:00 AM
This is by far the BEST drugstore eyeliner I've ever seen. These are so comparable to Urban Decay's eyeliners. They're insanely creamy, have excellent color payoff, and I have zero tugging issues, which I usually encounter with drugstore eyeliners. I did have a little issue with smudging on the outer corners of my eyes, but it's allergy season and my eyes are always watering. Very impressive, and a great value for the price.

Loose Powders -New York Color - NYC Smooth Mineral Loose Finishing Powder Natural Veil
cuonbroadway 9/25/2012 7:14:00 PM
Pretty good product, and for the price it's a great value. It doesn't stand up against humidity, but for the price I don't really expect it to. This powder sets my makeup and adds a matte finish without looking too chalky. I really like using it over my eyeliner because it doesn't change the color much.

Lip Gloss -NYX - Mood Lip Gloss
cuonbroadway 9/25/2012 6:56:00 PM
I bought the original mood gloss several years ago as a more affordable substitute to Smashbox's O-Gloss. First, it's a great dupe. Second, it's a great product! It visibly changes color on your lips, and it turns a beautiful color. The gloss is neither too thick nor too thin, which is hard to find. Today I bought the two other colors and couldn't be happier! A little goes a long way, which I think is lovely. I'll definitely be repurchasing again!

Highlighters -Physicians Formula - Mineral Glow Pearls- Translucent Pearls
cuonbroadway 9/25/2012 4:14:00 PM
I bought this for 40% off at Ulta. When it's swatched on my skin, it's a perfect dupe for Tarte's Champagne Highlighter, which is why I bought it. I think it's overpriced, but I have to remember that it's almost as big as a MAC MSF. This makes for a great highlighter on my NW15-20 skin. It's shimmery without being glittery on me, which I appreciate. I will probably repurchase this again before the sale ends!

Treatments -John Frieda - Go Blonder Lightening Spray
cuonbroadway 8/12/2012 11:04:00 AM
I've been using Sun-In for the past 4, almost 5 years. While Sun-In has been effective on my hair, I absolutely hate the smell. It seems to stick around on my hair even after I've washed it several times. I thought I'd try the Go Blonder product to see if I could avoid that awful smell. Well, first of all it's a much more expensive product and you get less product with Go Blonder than Sun-In. But, it does get rid of the smell issue that I was having. Go Blonder creates results faster for me than Sun-In does. I alternate between the two and only use them once or twice a week collectively. I think if you really take care of your hair with oil treatments, deep conditioners, and sulfate-free products, you can still use these products and have healthy hair. I've been using it for several months now without issue. I would most likely purchase Go Blonder again, but the price is the one thing that might cause me to not repurchase.

Lips -Revlon - Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain- Cherish
cuonbroadway 8/11/2012 10:22:00 PM
This was one of the first Balm Stains that I bought, and this is the only one that I've tried that I didn't like. I love the formula, the packaging, and the product itself. My issues with this Balm Stain is the color. It's so pigmented that it looks somewhat ridiculous on me. My sisters call it my "Nicki Minaj" lipcolor. It doesn't look like the tube on my highly pigmented lips. In the end, it's a great product with an awkward color for Cherish.

Lipstick -Revlon - Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain - Honey

I've been looking for a MLBB color, and I think I've finally found it! Just like the other Balm Stains, it wears comfortably for several hours and then leaves behind a beautiful stain of color. Great product!

Lips -Revlon - Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain - Lovesick
cuonbroadway 8/11/2012 4:04:00 PM
How amazing is this?! Amazing spring/summer color. The balm wears comfortably for hours, and it leaves a beautiful stain behind on my lips. This is much brighter of a lip product than I would normally buy, but it's wonderful. I thought the coverage would be a little sheer since it's a "balm," but these balm stains are so pigmented! Amazing product.

Liquid -L'Oreal - Visible Lift Serum Absolute Advanced Age-Reversing Makeup
cuonbroadway 8/4/2012 10:57:00 AM
Wow! I think I've finally found one of the best foundations for my skin! I've been searching for forever and just stumbled across this the other day at Walgreens when I was returning another L'Oreal foundation (Lumi Healthy Luminous Foundation... ick) and wanted to try something else. This is the first foundation where my mother has actually said that it looked nice! That's big news, folks. I'd say this is medium coverage with a soft matte finish. There's a little bit of luminescence, but not enough for me to call it a satin finish. Lasting power is pretty nice, with no oil breakthroughs after 5 hours (that's as long as I've worn it). I bought it in Soft Ivory and it's a perfect match for my NW15 skin, and it's very similar to Revlon's Ivory shades. I only have two complaints: First, the pump broke on my first bottle so I had to exchange it. And secondly, it's a bit pricey for a drugstore foundation. It's a great foundation, but it seems slightly over-prices IMO.

Liquid -Revlon - PhotoReady Makeup
cuonbroadway 8/3/2012 11:56:00 AM
This is one of the better drugstore foundations that I've tried in a very long time. I have very fair skin, and typically the lightest shade in drugstore foundations is too dark for me. For the first time ever, I've found a drugstore foundation that actually matches my skin color! Ivory is a perfect match for me and my NW10-15 skin. How nice! The formula: This is a medium-coverage product on my skin. It helps cover up acne marks and under-eye circles. It's definitely buildable to full coverage as well. It has a luminous finish with some sparkle, but I definitely do not see as much sparkle in this product as other reviewers have mentioned. It's a very thick liquid, and I would almost describe this as a cream foundation. The wear: The coverage lasted solidly for several hours. After about 5 hours, though, I had oil breaking through on my nose. Also, I noticed that I had some very dry patches on my chin and between my eyebrows, which doesn't normally happen with other foundation products.

Liquid -L'Oreal - True Match Lumi Healthy Luminous Makeup
cuonbroadway 8/2/2012 9:46:00 PM
So I purchased this because the marketing is the same as Lancome's Teint Miracle, which is my HG foundation. Unfortunately, I can't really afford it on a teacher's salary, so I was looking for something similar but less expensive. FYI I'm an Ivoire N1 in Lancome. The L'Oreal foundation is fairly decent. I'll go ahead and confess that I'm taking off lippies because of the color selection. The N1-2 shade is NOT neutral at all. It's a very warm shade, and it's more similar to N3 in the regular True Match foundations. I don't know why they made the shade selection different from the regular foundation options. It just makes no sense to me. As a C1 in True Match, having to settle for N1-2 just isn't logical. This is a very thick foundation and it dries quickly, leaving little blending time. And this foundation NEEDS lots of time because it's very difficult to blend. My one major pro is that this foundation has a beautiful luminous finish, just as it advertises. Honestly, if this foundation came in a color that really matched my skin, I would probably rate this higher; however I just do not understand how L'Oreal thought that changing the color system would be smart.

Conditioner -Organix - Moroccan Argan Oil Renewing Treatment
cuonbroadway 6/3/2012 12:15:00 PM
Hmm... I have some pretty mixed feelings about this treatment. I bought this not too long after learning about the benefits of using oil on my hair and I was really excited about it. At first I thought it was pretty moisturizing and beneficial to my hair, but after using it for a few months (a jar goes a really long way) I don't feel that I get the same results anymore. I took a month's break from it and tried again, but I still felt that my hair needed more moisture, which is odd since it's straight, fine, and isn't really chemically treated. I did give it to my sister, though, and she adores it. Hopefully she won't experience the same "burn out" that I did.

Styling Products -Organix - Brazilian Keratin Therapy Anti-Breakage Serum
cuonbroadway 6/3/2012 12:12:00 PM
I have pretty mixed feelings about this serum. On the one hand, I do feel that my hair gets a little stronger after using. Nothing miracle-like, but still noticeable. The serum is somewhat thin, which I actually appreciate. It's easy to distribute through my hair. But it also runs out of the bottle really easily and you end up with too much product. The smell's ok, not my favorite but not unbearable either. A bottle does last forever, though. I personally just don't see enough of a difference in my hair to repurchase.
