Eye Shadow -Milani - Eyeshadow in Shock #15
ctully 4/19/2007 9:39:00 AM
I own several Milani eyeshadows, and this is the only one that I don't like. The color does nothing for me, but it may work for you. It goes on sheer, which was disappointing because I was hoping it would be highly pigmented e/s like all the others.
It is also a close dupe for Mac's Creme de Violet. At least they are almost identical on my eyes (creme de violet is a bit lighter) when applied, although side by side Shock looks darker.
EDIT: Well I've been experimenting a bit more with this shadow, and tried it using the foil method. It worked a lot better. I'm still not sure about the color, but I got a lot of compliements from my friends that night on my eye makeup.

Highlighters -Milani - Glimmer Stripes in Pink Glimmer
ctully 4/17/2007 11:09:00 AM
I bought a bunch of the glimmer stripes and new bronzer/blush duos. When I came home, I read the two reviews that the Pink Glimmer Stripes was terrible, so I tried it first in case I wanted to return it. I used it both on my cheeks and eyelids. It's a very subtle look, but I love it. The color is not obvious, but I know it did something good because my cheeks/skin looks great. It gave me a really healthy glow. I used UDPP and a couple of the pinks on my eyes and they definitely are noticeable, but again, it's a subtle look. I think it's a great "no makeup" kind of look. I don't look obviously done up, but I look a whole lot better with this stuff on. I am PPP for reference, so I'm not sure how these would look on people with darker skin, or how it will look on me later in the summer when I have a tan, but for most of the year, when I am PPP, this works great for me.

Conditioner -Alba Botanica - Alba Hawaiian Mango Moisturizing Hair Conditioner
ctully 4/15/2007 11:56:00 AM
i love this conditioner! i switched to no sls/cone and CO washing regimen this winter. The hard part for me has been finding a great conditioner. My hair is long and dried out from too many cones, but i find this stuff to be incredibly moisturizing. i tried humectress before this and i like this better for moisturizing, and it's cheaper! yes, it is thick, so i shake the bottle or leave it upside down in my shower caddy. not really a big deal imho. i will definitely repurchase, my hair looks great from this stuff!

Lipstick -L'Oreal - Color Riche Star Secret Aishwarya Beige

Just echoing what others have said below....I thought that this color would never work on my highly pigmented lips, but it does! It really is an amazing, sheer color. Easy to wear every day, but I am also looking forward to trying a nighttime look with it as well. And I love that you can put it on without a mirror. It has been a long time since I purchased a lipstick rather than lipgloss, and I'm so happy I did!

Polishes -Milani - Black Cherry
ctully 11/18/2006 1:22:00 PM
Wow, I am so impressed with this nail polish. I applied it on Monday and today (Saturday) there are still no chips or peeling! And I was lazy and didn't apply a base or top coat. Besides the wear, the color is also fantastic. Once I put it on, I threw out my Revlon Vixen and similar WnW burgandy shimmer. To get the color in the bottle, you need 3 coats, but 2 also gives you even coverage and a beautiful color, just not as dark. I will definitely be trying out more Milani nailpolishes. Thank you MUA!

Mascara -Cover Girl - Lash Exact
ctully 9/18/2006 1:44:00 PM
I just got this mascara last week and I'm very happy with it. I love the overall packaging and the brush is fantastic--it is really what distinguishes this mascara from other brands. It is great for a natural look. It does not clump whatsoever. I wish it thickened my lashes a bit more, but I think it's still a great mascara nonetheless.

Treatments -Paula's Choice - Redness Relief Treatment (Previously known as Skin Relief Treatment)

I think this product is fantastic but I wish it were cheaper! I use it after waxing (face and bikini) and or shaving my bikini area. It really gets rids of redness/irritation, and completely prevents me from breaking out after waxing.

Treatments -Paula's Choice - RESIST Remarkable Skin Lightening Lotion with 7% AHA

I love Paula's Choice products but this stuff is terrible. It turns brown very quickly and I have fair skin so I could only wear it at night. I ended up returning it.

Tinted Moisturizer -Paula's Choice - Barely There Sheer Matte Tint SPF 20
ctully 5/5/2006 7:05:00 PM
I get compliments on my skin when I wear this. It's light but enough to even out my skin tone. I never break out from wearing it, and it looks really natural on. You can layer on more for fuller coverage if you need it. I can't compare it to other tinted moisturizers--I haven't tried them because I find it bizarre that they only come in one or two shades. If you are looking for light/medium coverage, definitely give this a try.

Cleansers -Paula's Choice - One Step Face Cleanser-Normal to Dry Skin
ctully 5/5/2006 7:02:00 PM
This is my favorite cleanser. It's gentle but effective at taking off makeup. I occasionally try other gentle cleansers (Olay sensitive skin, nivea, cetaphil) but I always come back to this stuff.
