Lip Treatments -Bourjois - Baume de Nuit Night Lip Balm [DISCONTINUED]

The positive reviews of this product surprise me greatly. I am a lip balm afficianado, it is my main everyday staple. I use kiehls lip balm throughout the day and at night. I bought this product to use at night because I thought it would provide the deep softening and conditioning effect it promises. I found the gum-like consistency to be too tacky and and hard to apply (i'm not going to exaggerate, it wasn't impossible to apply, but it did not go on smoothly). The smell was also something that irritated me. I may be alone here, but when it was on my lips, my mouth smelled as if I had just smoked a cigarette (you know, that lingering tobacco smell). And that smell/feeling lasted the entire time. When I woke up, my lips didn't not feel any more nourished. I strongly recommend Keihl's lip balms because they are easy to apply, odorless, and feel great on the lips.
This product is magic--ok, that might be a bit of an exaggeration but I really do love it. It is a very effective way of cleaning up your eye area after applying mascara or erasing other minor make-up mistakes. It is precise and very easy to use. The one downside is you usually have to use a q-tip to dry up the area after using the pen. Still, it is a fantastic invention that I always need in my makeup collection.
Liquid -Make Up For Ever - Mat Velvet PLUS Matifying Foundation

This product does absoutely nothing for my skin. It goes on heavy and feels that way on my skin, yet it surprisingly does not cover some of my few acne scars. I thought that this make-up would at least control my shine and keep my skin fresh-looking for the majority of the day. It failed, however, to fufill its promise. It faded quickly and my skin was shiny after 3 hours. I am quite disappointed by this product, which I had high hopes for.
Well, since Chanel has discontinued my color (rose light), I have no more reason to buy/like this product. Rose light was the perfect color for covering blemishes, because i have fair skin with pink undertones. However, it never seemed to cover the blemish completely, and it didn't have great lasting power, but i stuck with it because the color was so perfect. Now, as I mentioned above, Chanel has discontinued rose light, so i will no longer purchase this product. I do not recommend this product because I believe you can get a better, more covering concealer for a less expensive price.
Treatments -Kate Somerville - Anti Bac Clearing Lotion

I do like this product quite a bit, and it is a regular part of my regimen, but I feel like it doesn't do enough. It's nice and not too drying, but I would want it to clear up my skin as much as it promises.
So I live in Los Angeles and try to go in monthly for a facial at Kate Somerville. I come in with congested, only, broken-out skin and I come out glowing and feeling refreshed (I get the purifying facial and have them add the "red light," which is an extra 60 or so dollars but worth it). I love the kate in a jar that they use in the facials (which is not granulated and thus different from the kate in a jar retail, which is now called Exfolikate. As much as I desperately want to love kate in a jar, I find myself always disappointed. My skin is always very red, even the next morning, and I feel that it exacerbates my acne. I will keep trying it and following it with a soothing clay mask but I have yet to be completely satisfied.
