Treatments (Eye) -BeneFit Cosmetics - EyeCon

I had originally used Ulta's Professional Eye Brightening Cream for they no longer sell it. So I had been on the hunt for a dark circle treatment. I have some dark circles but not very dark, I think Ulta's cream helped a lot. This is a small jar, it's about 1oz. and has a greyish tint to it and goes on clear and has an oily effect afterwards. I apply at night before going to bed and in the morning before I apply my foundation. I will be using it for a couple of weeks and see how it leaves my skin. The oiliness do go away by the morning. I paid about $12 for the jar from a whole seller, I don't think Benefit carries this in their line anymore.

Mascara -BeneFit Cosmetics - BADgal Lash
rated 3 of 5

I wanted to give my drugstore brand mascara a rest and try something new. I bought this mascara online from Benefit Cosmetics. It does a great job at lengthening and making my lashes look bold, although it dries very quick. It doesn't clump or smear under my eyes after a long day at the office. It is also easy to remove with makeup remover wipes. I am interested in trying Benefit's They're Real Mascara. For now, I'll wait until I'm done with this tube.

Bronzers -BeneFit Cosmetics - HOOLA
rated 4 of 5
crystelle07 9/7/2012 4:40:00 PM

To start off, I am a big fan of Benefit Cosmetics. They have a great selection but I don't like they're high prices for the amount of product you receive. So i was still on the hunt for a GOOD Bronzer. I went to Ulta and has my eyebrows done at the Benefit Brow Bar, since I had no makeup except BB Cream, I asked the girl if she could use the Hoola Bronzer on me to give me some color. I ended up with my face done up with all Benefit products. The bronzer is matte and very similar to Too Faced Milk Chocolate Soleil . I don't like how it's in a square cardboard box and gives you limited space to swirl your brush around. I don't use the brush that is provided with the bronzer, I find the brush to be very coarse. The bronzer leaves a nice finish on my olive skin tone. (I'm a NC40) It is also very similar to NYC Bronzer in Sunny which is only $3.The bronzer gives me a nice color and I use the bronzer only to contour. I paid over $30 for this bronzer which I find it to be a good bronzer only exception is the square packaging.

BB Cream -L'Oreal - Magic Skin Beautifier BB Cream
rated 4 of 5

I had been wanting to try a BB Cream for a good while now. I had received a free sample in the mail from L'Oreal Magic Skin Beautifier in Light. Instantly, I fell in love with how it left my skin. It has tiny micro beads that blend into your skin. The cream is a little watery and also a white-greyish color. I found that it lasts all day and even helps my makeup stay on longer. I recommend this BB Cream, it has made my face look flawless without a lot of makeup.

Mascara -Maybelline - Volum' Express The Mega Plush
rated 2 of 5
crystelle07 8/8/2012 4:33:00 PM

I bought this mascara since I saw a good review on it here. The mascara states that it's a plush gel. I don't really notice the difference in "softer" lashes. Although, is it me if is this mascara hard to wash off and it's not waterproof? I literally have to get baby oil to get my mascara off. Maybe I bought waterproof on accident. Anyways, I prefer Maybelline's Falsies way better than this mascara. Falsies added length and lots of volume. I wouldn't say this mascara is a waste of money but it does smear easily. I live in a very humid city and I have to rub mascara off under my eyes several time a day.

Polishes -Sally Hansen - Xtreme Wear - Pacific Blue
rated 5 of 5

LOVE LOVE LOVE this color of polish! I watch beauty guru Dulcecandy on YouTube and fell in love with her nail color. She said this was the exact polish. It is the perfect color of blue, it's not pale or bright blue, but a blend of royal blue and winter blue. I got many compliments from friends, co workers and some girls at Ulta. It looks great on toes during the summer. It was only $2.99 at Walgreen's and they had a bogo sale, so I picked up about 4 more polishes. Go get this pretty blue before they come out with their fall polishes.

I have been on the hunt for a good bronzer! As you can tell from my rating, I'm still on the hunt. I have an medium and in the summer a olive complexion. I got this bronzer to define my cheekbones. I literally had to put layers and layers of this bronzer to show up on my skin. When I purchased this bronzer this was the only color available,it was at the front desk at Ulta when I bought it. If anyone has a good recommendation let me know, please! I am curious to try Lorac's Baked Tantalizer Bronzer but read it comes out orange. Well, back to bronzer hunting!

Lips -Revlon - Colorburst Lip Butter in Sweet Tart
rated 4 of 5
crystelle07 8/8/2012 1:44:00 PM

I heard the rave about this Revlon Lip Butter from the beauty guru's on Youtube. I have an olive skin tone and I got the Revlon Lip Butter in Sweet tart. It's not too pink for cool toned women and has a lip balm feel. It's not sticky but doesn't last all day. I think if you want something that is like a balm with some color, try Revlon Just Bitten. I like this Lip Butter because I don't like too much color while I'm at work. I have been using it everyday and plan to get other colors. I bought it at my local grocery store for only $3. Not too bad for a balm.

Styling Products -Unlisted Brand - MACADAMIA NATURAL OIL Nourishing Leave-in Cream
rated 4 of 5
crystelle07 8/8/2012 1:38:00 PM

I really like this Macadamia Natural Oil Leave In Conditioner. I usually use the Macadamia Deep Repair Mask about once a week and I'll use this deep conditioner about twice a week. It's a small bottle and about $10. It has lasted me a good 6 months. I only use very little. It has a thick consistency and a little goes a long way. When using this, I also put Organix Moroccan Penetrating oil and my hair is velvety soft. This leave in conditioner has improved my hairs strength and taking a beating with my flat iron. i would recommend all Macadamia's Hair Care Line.

Hair -Unlisted Brand - MACADAMIA Natural Oil - Healing Oil Treatment
rated 4 of 5
crystelle07 8/8/2012 1:34:00 PM

I have been sucked into the Macadamia Natural Oil Hair Care line. Although, this healing oil spray works really well after using heating tools. It has a musky scent to it, nothing like the Deep Repair Masque or the leave in conditioner. It leaves my hair very sheen and soft, although the smell is a little strong for me. It comes in a small 4 oz bottle. It lasted me about 4 months and I only used it when I had straightened my hair. I apply it only to my ends since it helps with breakage. At Ulta it's about $13 a bottle. A little bit expensive for a small bottle but all Macadamia products are expensive. I will continue to use this healing spray only when I flat iron my hair. When I blow dry I stick to my TiGi Headrush Spray.

Styling Products -TiGi - Bed Head Headrush Shine Adrenaline
rated 5 of 5
crystelle07 8/8/2012 1:27:00 PM

I LIVE by this shine spray. My sisters got me addicted to it when I went to go visit my hometown. It smells so good! Just like strawberries, it does the job at shining the hair without weighing it down. I have used many shine sprays, they have either left my hair oily or weighed it down after I just washed it. It's about $20 a bottle, I usually buy mine at Ulta but I bought a new bottle while shopping at TJ Maxx for $8. It usually lasts me about a good 2-4 months. My hair is mid-length goes below my bra line. I don't use too much though. One spray all around the head is enough. I recommend this for anyone who want to add shine and gloss to your hair.

Concealers -NYX - HD Photogenic Concealer Wand
rated 4 of 5
crystelle07 8/8/2012 1:10:00 PM

I bought this NYX HD Concealer at Ulta for $5.99. For the low price its an awesome concealer. It covers dark circles and highlights great.I like how it has a wand, you can control on how much product you want. It blends well and doesn't look cakey. I got mine in a medium and I'm a NC40with MAC. I bought this after I finished my Smashbox HD Concealer. It works just as great as my Smashbox. I have purchased several of NYX products and they are work wonderfully. I will repurchase and definitely recommend.

Concealers -Smashbox - High Definition Concealer
rated 3 of 5
crystelle07 8/8/2012 12:43:00 PM

I bought this concealer about 6 months and waited to finish the bottle before writing my review. As mostly all Smashbox cosmetics are a little pricey but you get what you pay for- a good concealer. i don;t always have dark circles but sometimes when I stay up late, you can definitely tell on my face. This concealer has about medium-full coverage, although, I don't think it is "HD" I can't tell in pictures. It's not a thick concealer so it doesn't feel heavy on my face. I usually get a very small drop and that's enough for both eyes. It goes on smoothly and evenly. I recently tried NYX's HD Concealer and it works just as good for 1/3 of the price, you also get more product. I would repurchase Smashbox if either it was on sale or if it came in a bigger tube.

Primer/ Corrector -BeneFit Cosmetics - That Gal
rated 3 of 5
crystelle07 8/8/2012 12:33:00 PM

I love BeneFit products and they are always packaged so pretty and girly. This was the first primer I had ever bought. It runs on the expensive side, I paid about $30 at Ulta, but I think you're paying more for the packaging than the product itself. It says it's a brightening face primer. It made my makeup last all day but I didn't really notice a brighten effect. It smells like strawberries and fades as soon as my foundation is applied. I am still on the hunt for a face primer that will make my foundation stay all day and brighten my face as well. I will finish this primer, as it was $30. I will not repurchase.

Polishes -Essie - Calypso
rated 3 of 5
crystelle07 8/8/2012 11:58:00 AM

Lately I have been on a nail polish rave! Picking up every nail polish I lay my eyes on. I think this started because my brother in law built me a nail polish rack. I usually go and get my nails done but after 2 weeks I had to go back and get fills and it was just burning a hole in my wallet. So now I have started a collection of polishes. On Pinterest I saw how MANY women posted pictures of their nail art with Essie nail polish. I decided to splurge and bought a good $100 of Essie Nail Polishes. Well, I fell in love. Their polishes are great, they don't chip, as long as I apply a Essie Protein Bast Coat and Essie 3 Way Top Coat. Calypso is nice color a fushia, it's not too shocking a wearable for work. It has no streaking and great consistency. I will continue to buy more Essie nail Polishes.
