So after countless products and trips to the dermatologist it was decided that I don't have dandruff but dermatitis, they present similarly but regular dandruff treatment will not treat dermatitis. I've used every store product and prescription, none have worked and this us no exception. I tried it because it claimed to test dandruff, psoriasis and dermatitis but it has done absolutely nothing for me, even the moment after I use it and get out of the shower, the flakes and itching are just as present as before using it. If it works for some people, that's great because only we know what a pain in the but dermatitis, psoriasis and dandruff are but for me it was a waste of money.
I agree with everyone on the sharpening. For a makeup company as big as maybelline it's absolutely ridiculous to have a product in a plastic tube and expect people to know that you can sharpen it with a sharpener when historically, that's never been the case. Hey, Maybelline, how's about some directions on The package! Now with that being said, I will still repurchase this product. I've used every brow definer out there and usually hate them. Powder looks more natural but is almost impossible to use alone and get the definition you want. Pencils from drug store to department store always end up way too harsh, you may as well draw them on with a Sharpie. This product however (once you get it out) seems to have nailed it. It's a pencil so I can draw the shape I want but it doesn't look like you drew your eyebriws on, it looks very natural like powder. In my opinion, Great product, horrific packaging.
I actually love this product and I have never said that about a primer before. I used to use the origins underwear for lashes which was okay but nothing compared to this stuff. This primer goes on very wet which I actually like because it doesn't create clumps right off the bat like a lot of the thicker primers do, You do not have to wait for it to dry, just put on your mascara as soon as you're done priming. This stuff without question has made my mascara work better. It creates curl, length, volume and makes mascara longer lasting. I am using it with Lancome's hypnose drama and the results are fantastic! I have also tried it with Loreal Voluminous and Benefit They're real and it has made every mascara work even better. It is also the only lash primer that I've ever used that doesn't make my lashes stick together and create more clumps. I would recomend this product to anyone that wants more from their mascara.
To each their own but I am shocked that this mascara doesn't have better reviews. I am a mascara addict. I both love and hate it. Love the product, wont leave home without it, Hate that no one has been able to get it perfect yet. With that being said however, Lancome delivers with this one. I am happy to say that because I had recently purchased their doll lashes which was complete garbage but this hypnose drama is a very good mascara if you're looking for a voluminous, dramatic effect which one would think you are if you're buying something named "drama". It builds volume without getting to clumpy and gross, it definitely lengthens more so even than the mascaras that claim they give you a false lashes look. It stays on my lashes all day without causing any raccoon eyes. It doesn't make my lashes hard and brittle either which I have found a lot of the volume building mascaras do. All in all this is a great mascara if you are looking for dark, dramatic lashes which I always am! I will without a doubt be buying again.
Styling Products -TiGi - Bed Head - Foxy Curls Contour Cream

I really like this curl cream and it is not easy to impress me when it comes to curl cream. This stuff smells good, like candy, which I'm sure some people can't stand but I like it, It does enhance curl and it gives a little bit of hold which is not all that common in curling creams. Most importantly to me anyway is that it does not give you that wet, crunchy, yucky look that those of us with curls have suffered with for so long. I am someone that constantly uses more of a styling product than they recommend, I always think this won't work let me add three more pumps! With this however, I would caution you not to use more than recommended, even for me and my more is more attitude, I only use one pump of this cream if that and it works perfectly. If you use too much then you are going to get that crunchy wet look.
Styling Products -John Frieda - Frizz-Ease Dream Curls
cosmeticjunky 1/12/2013 9:06:00 AM
I purchased this product because a friend told me that it worked without making your hair crunchy...That friend is a liar! LoL. It does what it says in the sense that it increases the curl and it gives moderate hold but the claim that it leaves curls soft and touchable is untrue. It is little above a spray gel and as with most of John Frieda's products I remain underwhelmed.
I have always loved juicy tubes. They come in 8 million colors, they always smell good. You can get them tinted or clear, sparkly or non, shimmering or matte, they come free with lancome purchases all the time, I have like 50 at my house and I think I have maybe purchased 2. They are sticky but I can handle that when it's a trade for how shiny they are, and they are super high shine. Juicy tubes are a staple in my life and I hope that Lancome never discontinues them!
I agree with the people that say it is thick, goopy, sticky, ect. It is indeed all of those things. If you are like me however and you can deal with those things as long as it stays on for longer than 5 minutes and is super shiny than it is all worth it. The shine is pretty great and I think the reason it is so sticky is because it stays on for a long time unlike most other lip glosses that I've used. Usually, you take a sip of coffee and it is gone. This stuff will last through coffee, smoking, talking, ect. Again though, it's not smooth & light, if that's what you want, do not get this. Very heavy and pretty sticky.
Lancome has foundation down to a perfect science, that's all I can think of. My favorite foundation in the world is their Teint miracle but someone gave me a bottle of this renergie and it is also fantastic. It does not settle into lines and wrinkles the way a lot of foundation does, it gives nice even coverage without ever feeling cakey which is the one thing I can't stand in foundation, I don't want to feel like I am wearing a mask. I haven't found that it lasts an incredibly long time but none of the great foundations do, the foundations that claim to are just heavy and gross. This foundation feels and looks like it is just your skin...but better. A+ Lancome!
I think this is an epic failure for lancome and I don't say that easily, I am a devout Lancome lover but if you put your fancy pants name on crap...it's still crap. This wouldn't be that horrible if you picked it up at CVS for 8 bucks but when I'm shelling out 30 bucks and even worse dealing with the cosmetic counter vultures at the department store I expect way, way more. It clumps, does not lengthen, does not curl. It does build volume but no better than any product in the Loreal voluminous line. Lancome has delivered enough fantastic products that I will stick with them but if this had been my first experience with them I would've walked the 2 feet to clinique and never looked back.
This product is great. It smells nice, not too heavy and the scent lingers. It is one of THE VERY FEW products I have used that actually does what it claims in terms of soft, touchable curls. This product does not make your hair hard or sticky in any way, HALLELUJAH! I am one of those people that just cant help using a lot of the product and even in doing that, no crunch whatsoever! I am not African American and it works great, I think stores are doing themselves and the product a disservice by having it only in the "African American hair care" section. So, if you can't find it, look there. Its a wonderful product regardless of your skin color :)
I am in a way ambivalent about this mascara I guess. I sooooo wanted to love it & have a new fave mascara & I put that hope into every new mascara that comes out that I hear good things about. This product however, like every other mascara is not my HG, I don't think the HG of mascara has been invented yet, I would've found it by now. With that being said however, Its pretty good. I like my eyelashes to be very dark, and voluminous. This product delivers pretty well for those specifications. It is very thick & sticky which I don't care about as long as it's getting the job done but if you're bothered by heavy, sticky mascara, you'll hate this. Whatever you do, don't let it dry between coats. It makes lashes hard & therefore impossible to put another coat on after its dry without getting tarantula eyes. Again, The hardness is not a concern of mine but if you prefer plush lashes, Again, you'll hate this. Lastly, don't even think about getting clump free lashes with this stuff. I made my peace long ago with the fact that I need to declump after any mascara application with tweezers, so it clumping isn't really out of the ordinary, They all do but this one a bit more than others. All in all if you're like me & you want very dark, very dramatic, very voluminous lashes at any cost then this is one of the better mascaras out there. If you want a light, smooth, easy application, clump free mascara then don't waste your money. Hope this was helpful :) I'll continue my search for the perfect mascara!
Okay, So I'm obsessive when it comes to my nails and i will not leave the house without nail polish on so even though I'm not usually one to say that a product has changed my life, THIS PRODUCT HAS CHANGED MY LIFE! In used to get my nails done at the salon religiously but after having my son I just didn't have then time to do so. Instead I scoured the earth and spent a ton of money searching for nail polishes, base coats, top coats, ect. Obviously some were better than others but for the most part I was NEVER happy with my nails. If they dried with a bubble in them I'd redo them, if there was a smudge, I'd redo them, so needless to say every time I painted my nails it was a 2 hour affair and then no matter what they'd chip within 2 days, and then it was time to start all over again. I tried other gel sets which would make my nails crack within 24 hours. This stuff however is awesome!!! It always goes on smooth, no bubbles as far as the eye can see. they're completely dry within 2 minutes, you can change the baby, dig in your purse, curl your hair, go to bed without getting sheet marks in your nails. They stay strong and shiny for almost two weeks, with swimming, doing dishes, giving tubbies, and two weeks of perfect wear is something I never ever dreamt of, I would have been happy with 5 days. I cannot recommend this product enough to anyone that wears nail polish!!! It is my HG of all nail products. (And it doesn't damage your nails like that damn acrylic)
Styling Products -Garnier - Wonder Waves Wave Enhancing Spray
cosmeticjunky 12/7/2012 10:44:00 PM
Well, I don't leave home without this product and it only gets 3 lippies? Here's why, For me this product has no no wave enhancing qualities. I have wavy/curly hair and it does nothing to my hair. I do not use it as part of my morning routine. However, the second thing it claims to do is give your waves a re~boost throughout the day when sprayed on even dry hair and in this department it delivers! I have never been able to spray any product on my dry hair, nit always just makes it crunchy and gross. This stuff however when sprayed onto my dry hair throughout the day reactivates whatever curling products I used that morning and it really does revive my waves/curls. I used to re wet my hair throughout the day to reactivate which was a huge pain. If I could give 5 lippies just for its reactivating properties I would but since I'm reviewing the entire product it gets 3 because as I mentioned when used to style my hair it does nothing. They should remarket it just as a wave/curl reactivator, then it would get 5 for sure.
Styling Products -Farouk CHI - Chi shine infusion thermal polishing spray
cosmeticjunky 12/3/2012 10:34:00 PM
This product is FANTASTIC. It costs a little more than I like to spend, especially when I don't know how is going to work. I still think the price is a little high for what it is but I will deal with it and definitely repurchase. With all oils, serums, shine sprays, ect my hair doesn't react at all or it looks incredibly greasy. With this one however, I got the affect that all those women in commercials with the wind machine blowing through their already perfect hair claim to get. My hair is incredibly dry and made much more so by all the torture I put it through in the name of beauty. It never looks smooth and shiny after blow drying...I mean NEVER! so out come the 15 smoothing products and the dreaded flat iron. With this product however my hair came out shiny, smooth and frizz free, completely! It also had that bounce that bobs should have that is usually lost with heat tools. I sprayed it very sparingly through towel dried hair (again, my hair is extremely dry, if your hair isn't you probably don't want to use as much) and then I just blow dryed it with a round brush and that's it! I used no other products, no hair spray or volumizer or frizz serum and it was beautiful. I can't stress enough how unheard of it is for me to use one product and be able to blow dry my hair to perfection. This stuff is an amazing hidden gem. Even though I'm not in love with the price, it still deserves every lippy because it is worth every penny.
