Mascara -Too Faced - Lash Injection
rated 1 of 5

This is the worst mascara I have ever used. It got very clumpy, very fast. When I attempted to fix it, it became a rubbery, stringy mess. It also did not come off easily with warm water for me. It had to try multiple types of makeup remover in my house, and when it did come off, it took some lashes off with it.

Treatments (Eye) -Boscia - Enlivening Amino-AG Eye Treatment
rated 5 of 5

A great lightweight eye cream. It feels silky, without any greasy texture, and absorbs into the skin well. I never had problems with shine or makeup smearing when I used this on my undereye area, so it’s perfectly safe to put on under makeup in the mornings. The formula is so silky smooth and light that you can even use this on your upper eye lid with no irritation. Additionally, a little goes a long way. You don’t need much at all for each application. One bottle lasted me a little less than one year. The only down side is that Boscia, possibly elevated the price, because I remember paying a lower amount for this bottle than the current price. Overall, while I may not be able to comment on the eye cream’s benefits, it’s good because it carries no detriments and is practical for daily morning application.

Treatments (Eye) -Yes To Carrots - Yes to Cucumbers - Soothing Eye Gel
rated 4 of 5

I'm surprised by all these bad reviews. I thought the gel was great. It made my dark circles disappear after a week of use, it was hydrating enough, it wasn't too greasy, it never burned, it never smelled bad, and the bottle will last quite a long time. It's not the most effective eye cream out there, but for a drugstore eye cream, it's quite good.

Primer/ Corrector -Bare Escentuals - Bare Vitamins Skin Rever Upper
rated 2 of 5
coquetries 3/1/2012 2:48:00 PM

It’s somewhere in between a serum and a primer, but doesn’t play either role well enough. It’s often listed as and referred to as a primer, or general product that preps the skin for makeup. But it’s not as effective as Prime Time. t also has the same problem as Prime Time in regards to the pump dispenser that becomes wasteful when you reach the end of the bottle. I don't think it's rich enough to replace your regular moisturizer either. Probably good for multi-tasking people who don't take their skincare routine too seriously, but it's not good enough for everyone else.

Primer/ Corrector -Bare Escentuals - Brightening Prime Time
rated 1 of 5
coquetries 3/1/2012 2:44:00 PM

Good concept, horrible formula. The spinoff falls far behind the original. This ochre-colored gel did not seem to have a significant brightening effect. The formula became chunky and solid when I was halfway through with the bottle, beyond the point of saving by mixing. It was returned, where even the sales associates were disgusted by how the primer had congealed. Maybe I got a bad batch, but the performance wasn't good enough to try another bottle.

Primer/ Corrector -Too Faced - Primed & Poreless Skin Smoothing Face Primer
rated 3 of 5
coquetries 3/1/2012 2:40:00 PM

This is the primer with the best results in appearance of all the primers I've used and the only flaw is that it’s not natural or preservative-free. It goes on smoothly, is a light fluid, has a tan coloring, and is packaged in an easy squeeze tube. Pores really do disappear with use of this primer under foundation.

Primer/ Corrector -Bare Escentuals - Prime Time
rated 4 of 5
coquetries 3/1/2012 2:37:00 PM

Prime Time was my main primer for quite some time. It’s a clear gel that applies smoothly. I notice that makeup stays fresh a bit longer than usual, though it’s not really notice-able to the average person. It gets bonus points for being natural and having an XL bulk size available at Sephora. The packaging could be improved though. The pump dispenser becomes difficult to use at the end of the bottle.

Masks -InnisFree - Jeju Volcanic Pore Clay Mask
rated 5 of 5
coquetries 1/30/2012 4:53:00 AM

This is one of Innisfree’s most popular products. I wanted to try it after reading an article in Seoul Travel and Culture magazine, a foreigner’s magazine published in Korea, about the major Korean brands and their most popular products. For the most part, the mask felt good. The texture was creamy and smooth. I did not notice a big difference in my skin. However, the Innisfree mask had one remarkable attribute: the clay in the tub never dried out. The texture in its packaging remained the same after months, leaving me to believe that the formula is better than most clay masks. I would buy it again.

Masks -DDF - Sulfur Therapeutic Mask [DISCONTINUED]
rated 2 of 5
coquetries 1/30/2012 4:51:00 AM

This mask is potent. The smell of sulfur is strong and it’s a good match for people who think most skincare products are not strong enough. The problem is that the mask caused me to break out on the day after I used it, every single time. I probably should have given up after I finished the first tub, but this product has such great reviews that I was hoping my skin would adjust to it, as many skincare products need time before your skin accepts it. It never happened. I used this for two years with poor results. It is very popular with other skincare junkies, so it does work for some people, just not me. Additionally, I got it in my eyes one time while cleansing and it burned horribly. Like many other clay masks, the clay texture dries out after some time in storage.

Masks -Boscia - Clarifying Detox Mask
rated 3 of 5
coquetries 1/30/2012 4:49:00 AM

I respect Boscia products a lot because their production facility is more sterile and professional than most hospitals. A Boscia product, including this one, has never caused me skin to break out or dry out. It’s preservative-free (yay!). The texture is still soft, even after months, possibly because of the tube design packaging keeps it fresh. It slightly tingles on the skin and feels refreshing after washing it off. It’s a nice mask to pamper yourself with, but it’s too gentle to really be effective. Good people with very sensitive skin looking for a very gentle and natural alternative to other calming detox masks.

Lotions/ Creams -Burt's Bees - Peppermint Foot Lotion
rated 4 of 5
coquetries 1/30/2012 4:46:00 AM

A creamy, luxurious-feeling lotion for feet. It does seem a bit unnecessary, but it does feel good and is clearly moisturizing. The scent of peppermint is strong and lovely. A little goes a long way as well. I often use too much produt because I forget that its consistency is much more generous than other lotions.

Masks -Yes To Carrots - Yes To Tomatoes - Skin Clearing Facial Mask
rated 4 of 5
coquetries 1/30/2012 4:28:00 AM

Unfortunately, Target rarely stocks the Tomatoes (blemish) line, preferring to stock the anti-aging and sensitive skin lines instead. Most Yes to Tomatoes products must be bought online through their official website – which takes forever to ship. Anyway, the mask was nice but unmemorable. It smelled alright and felt fine, but I don’t recall anything special about it. Like many clay masks it dries in storage after some time. I would still recommend it though, since it didn't make me break out and it's a natural product that may work very well for others.

Skincare - Face -Ole Henriksen - Sheer Transformation Creme
rated 5 of 5
coquetries 1/30/2012 4:24:00 AM

My go-to moisturizer that I’ve come back to time and time again. Pros: When I had phases that caused sun spots to appear on my face with rapid frequency, Sheer Transformation would stop it immediately. In fact, no new sunspots appear at all. This moisturizer also scores major points for having the best texture ever experienced. It’s silky and absorbs into skin well. Cons: This lightweight moisturizer is simply not heavy enough for winter months. If I apply it during colder months, my skin will visibly dry up again within a few hours. It’s great for summer, but I always have to use something else for winter. Additionally, while it does prevent new sun spots, it doesn’t aid well in fading existing hyperpigmentation. Overall, a great moisturizer. Just don’t rely on it in cold, dry weather.

Treatments -Caudalie - Vinoperfect Enzymatic Peel Mask
rated 4 of 5
coquetries 1/30/2012 4:22:00 AM

Another mask that exfoliates and is said to reduce scarring. It did not perform substantially better than any other peel I’ve had in general expectations – but it does deserve high recognition for being the only peel so far where I’ve been complimented upon by other people. The mask exfoliates well, so that the texture of my face is smoother and creates a better canvas for makeup to settle on. If I wore makeup after using the peel, my skin looked noticeably healthier and more radiant. However, it did not have any effect on my complexion nor it did aid in healing scars. I broke out very heavily (not related to the mask) and my scars were very apparent for a substantial length of time while even using this mask. Overall, good peel in improving texture of the skin, but not effective enough for very severe discoloration/scarring like mine. Maybe for light discoloration it would work better.

Lip Treatments -Burt's Bees - Replenishing Lip Balm with Pomegranate Oil
rated 5 of 5
coquetries 1/30/2012 4:18:00 AM

My new favorite click stick for lip care! It goes on smooth, feels good, and doesn't contain ingredients that I dislike on my lips, such as camphor or menthol. It's one of the few in the BB line that has that tint, though the tint is so faint that it looks completely clear when I try to swatch it on my arm. 5 stars.
