Eye Shadow -Bobbi Brown - Black Ruby Sparkle Eye Palette

I got this palette from the holiday 2011 collection and I love it! Last year's sparkle palette wasn't quite the right texture you usually find with BB sparkle shadows. This one is on par. It is gorgeous and versatile. If you're not careful you can get some fall out but that is expected and can be avoided by using a sticky base like TFSI Glitter Glue and patting the color on rather than sweeping it on. My mom (brunette, brown eyes) and me (blonde, green eyes) both have it and it looks really nice on both of our coloring.

I am impressed! The last time I did glue on nails was when I was a teen in the 90's so I was expecting a tacky result with very short wear time. However, these look really natural/professional. Almost like I went to the salon for acrylics. The sizes are pretty good....all fit perfect except the thumbs- I couldn't get them flush with my natural nail bed so you can see bubbles/glue underneath the plastic. But all the others are nearly flawless. It was really easy to do. I also bought the nail removal kit/thingy b/c I don't want to ruin my real nails.
Eye Shadow -MAC - Vintage Selection (Cham-Pale Collection)

This is a gorgeous pink/beige with lots of shimmer/sparkle. Its a very pretty everyday color. My only complaint is if you try to build it or if you don't work quickly it looks chunky and patchy.
Eye Shadow -MAC - Paint Pot in Dangerous Cuvee (Cham-Pale Coll.)

I liked this swatched on my hand a lot...it was so unique. The color is silver/gray/purple with lots of sparkle. However on my lids it looks chunky or like scales...especially it you try to build the color. My advice is to put in on fast before it can dry and don't try to put on too much. Because of this, its too sheer for my tastes.
I'm really liking this so far. It has med/full coverage and a natural (not matte) finish...exactly what I was looking for. Bonus is that it matches my skin perfectly. Its kinda thick and has a interesting consistency I can't explain well...maybe a little gel/cream-ish.
Lip Gloss -Bobbi Brown - Bobbi Brown Lipgloss in Honey

On me this color is ugly and unflattering. gross...I want to return it. I makes me look dated like 1990. Its kind of brown. I think it would look good on someone with a dark complexion.
The two long wear shadows are extremely light and barely show up on my NW20 skin. I also think they are far too similar to shadows I already own such as Shore and Cement. The gel liners are nice. The formula is very long lasting but the only one I wear is black topaz b/c its the darkest. Being that I only like 1 of the 4 products I don't think this was a good buy.
Highlighters -Hard Candy - Glow All The Way in Doll Face

This is a pearly pink shimmer (not glitter) cream. It reminds me alot of Benefit High Beam. The good thing is you get a ton and its cheap so I think it would last forever (thats why I said I wouldn't buy again). Its very pretty but I think a light hand is a good idea when applying. You could really go overboard if not careful and then wind up looking funny. oh and the packaging is good (squeeze tube as opposed to bottle).
Highlighters -Hard Candy - Glow All The Way in Glamazon Bronze

Well this for me was a big hell no! I can imagine for some this would be perfect and I can see how some gals would enjoy. The price point is great, you get alot of product, the packaging is pretty (gold) and functional (squeeze tube). But for me it was way too much. Lots of shimmer and a bit too dark. Its a bronzy cream with pinky undertones. I would look ridiculous wearing this. I'm not even sure how I could make it work, how much do you use, where do you apply it? all over? I dunno maybe thats the problem. Its a no go for me.
I'm in love....one of the more exciting MU purchases for me. I think this palette/set is a great deal considering the full size shadow insurance and lip gloss. That alone is almost $40 and the whole thing is $50 with 15 eye shadows, one blush, and snow bunny bronzer. I like almost everything in it and its good quality. The packaging is so cute and pretty. There's only two shadows I probably won't wear and that's b/c of glitter. Now on to the negative. Although I really like the color and formula of the gloss its a brush applicator and my brush is splayed (it came that way) and I prefer a doefoot applicator. And even though I said I love the packaging its kinda cumbersome...like you have to pull out the whole tray and take it out of the box thingy and then put it back in when you're done and its just not that easy to deal with.

The color is lovely and I found it was pigmented and showed up well on my skin HOWEVER there's too much glitter fall out for me to want to buy it again. I hate when that happens.
Overall I liked this mascara. It did a good job of separating my lashes and giving some length. Not so great for volume. The brush is interesting and depending on how you hold it/angle it you can really reach all your lashes like those tiny ones in the corners.
Highlighters -Hard Candy - Moon Glow Luminizing Powder
coletteJ 11/9/2010 12:13:00 PM
First its way too light and chalky. My skin didn't look pretty and it didn't give me a glow so much as tiny gold glitter all over my face. Indoors you don't notice it but it sunlight...holy cow not a good look. I wasn't impressed. I'll stick to illuminating powders with finer milled shimmer.
Loose Powders -MAC - Iridescent Powder - Golden Bronze
coletteJ 11/8/2010 5:52:00 PM
This is a pretty powder but I really never use it. Its soooo shimmery and pigmented that I look ridiculous wearing it on my NC25 skin. Too shiny. I don't think I'm applying too much either. I would not recommended as a bronzer. I don't know what you use it for....I must just be too pale. We put it on my friend for Halloween cuz she was going as Snooki LOL
Eye Shadow -Bobbi Brown - Metallic Long Wear Cream in Brown Metal

this is a very light brown with lots of sparkle/shimmer. Not very pigmented but still a great color. I love it.
