Masks -Unlisted Brand - Sea Salt Mask

This is amazing. I scar VERY easily and it works well to remove the scars. It doesn't leave my face stiff or red. Sometimes I make a paste out of it when I want the stubborn dead skin to go away, other times I dilute it in water. It makes me glow so much. I actually started using this because I ran out of my Apricot Scrub. I much prefer the sea salt. I feel like the creaminess in the apricot scrub makes it a little less helpful for my skin. Sea salt is abrasive, but not in a damaging or painful way and you can really control how exfoliating you want it to be. Water and sea salt helped my skin.

Tried this about 2-3 years ago, checked the ingredients and noticed it no longer contains sulfur, which made my skin look AMAZING, and now it contains vaseline too. Sigh. I really liked this product. One of the few products that could clear my dark spots. I saw a reduction in active acne too. Old Lyna Pearl - YES! New one - Not the same! :(

Scrubs -St. Ives - Apricot Scrub Blemish and Blackhead Control

This stuff works and I like it, but I don't see myself using it as a staple. It lightens my face dramatically (I went from n NC55 to a NC45-NC50 within a month. I didn't even have a tan!) So it looked awkward against the rest of my body. It lightened my dark mark, though, which is good. It has a similar effect on me to Retin-A, but Retin-A is more gentle and does not lighten my skin dramatically...

Lip Treatments -Bonne Bell - Lip Smacker 100% Naturals

This is basically pimped out olive oil. For some people, this may be a good or bad thing. But olive oil tends to just seal the skin's moisture, rather than penetrating. This particular product feels nice for about 15 minutes, then dries.. I feel like my lip's natural moisture left with it. Plus, this is way too shiny for a lip balm My personal preference though. I will not be purchasing again! Not a horrible product, I've tried worse. I'm not going to lie though, I am going to keep using this until I can find another truly good all natural balm. Gets the job done, crappily, yes, but hey.. it's decent.

Conditioner -Unlisted Brand - Hi Pro Pac Conditioner

I got the one for Damaged Hair! This really is an amazing conditioner, or as I would consider it, a deep treatment. I have 3C/4A damaged hair.. so over-processed to the extent that if I were to comb through it, I would hear it literally rip. Let me start of by saying I am an absolute conditioner hoor and I love the way they smooth my hair. I've tried many brands, but this one stands out in terms of quality. Regardless, it applied nicely on my hair and distributed well on my thick hair. I left this bad boy on for a good 10 minutes, and finger-combed through it a few times. As it claimed, this product honestly did detangle my nearly-dreadlocked hair. It made it manageable to comb through, and it was not limp anymore The texture of my hair was not soft and cuddly, but not rock hard either, which is good.. I also loved how it did not break off as easily. For a good two weeks, I did not have to apply a moisturizing creme as I usually do, which is pretty amazing. My curls were lifeless an even, not one straight hair hanging from frizz dead curls. The HPP is an awesome staple for my hair, I was on the edge of cutting it and starting over! I can imagine this as a treatment also makes a pretty awesome heat protector. One con is that it left little chunks of product that needed to be watched out for, not that much of a hassle though. But definitely I really felt like I restored my hair And if your hair is protein sensitive, beware, because this conditioner has protein as the second ingredient. With that said, this is my HG hair product!

Mascara -Cover Girl - Lash Blast
rated 4 of 5

This is my favorite mascara, and this is coming from someone who thought all mascaras were the same! Well, this sure does beat other drugstore brands' and even high end brands' mascaras. It's thickness works well for a mascara without being too goopy. Runny, thin, watery ones like Great Lash coated my black, thick lashes but this is FAB. I look like I have on falsies. The only downside is that it is way too long-lasting. I got the waterproof version, and while it did not budge or flake or anything, I lost a few lashes during the removal as I'm not so used to such an adhesive formula. I used oil before using my makeup remover, but it's still annoying to remove. But then again, most mascaras are! Regardless, Lash Blast is a very worthy quality mascara that lives up to its hype.

Very drying, but that's what you get when you use a petroleum-based product, for the most part at least. While it does smell nice, I started out with greasy, slippery lips and ended up with dry lips within 15 minutes. And as a face moisturizer, well it just sits there. I haven't experienced any breakouts though

Misc Beauty Tools -Unlisted Brand - Ped Egg
rated 3 of 5

It does work. It makes my feet much smoother and softer, but only when I already take good care of them. It's just not what I was expecting. I feel like it takes of a few layers of dead skin, and stops very quickly. With that said, if you have really thick or serious callouses, try using a disposable razor to shave of the dead skin. Trust me it works 10000x better! The Ped Egg is considerable if you have no callouses and want a smoother texture. Won't buy it again; not a bad product, just not for me.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Knight Divine
rated 3 of 5

Not a bad color, but on it's own, it lacks. I expected more for it to be a Veluxe pearl, this is not very shiny and I have to scrape it with my brush to get desired color. It's just dull and grey. What's funny is, I bought this on the same day I went to Kmart and bought ELF single pan eyeshadow in Dusk. They are both dark greys, similar, and Dusk stayed on, while KD disspeared! Only looks good on me when it's paired with a matte black... otherwise, eh.

Highlighters -Bobbi Brown - Beach Shimmerbrick
rated 5 of 5

This is my first SB and I am hooked! A beautiful shimmery warm color that is not too glittery, more so glowy. Gives me a beautiful highlight, that just looks angelic and light. The color is beautiful for my NW45 skintone, but I think it is a pretty universal shade. Two colors that stood out to me the most is the lightest champagne color, it shifts to a pretty pink color. And another color, a peachy pink, it reminds me of Expensive pink. I like to use it to highlight my cheekbones and it looks great. I also like how the color is not too gold, not too bronze, not too pink. Has a great balance of shades that I love.

Oh, how I hate myself for not getting it when my niece bought this years ago. I loved this scent so much. When she wore it I hug her all the time. It's very sweet and I could smell a hint of cherry cola in it! OMG! I remember this was in CosmoGirl (RIP) and I ripped it out and rubbed it on my pillow. Very yummy.

Fragrances -Bath and Body Works - Summer Vanillas - Berry Vanilla Fragrance Mist
rated 5 of 5
coldkiwi 7/15/2010 7:06:00 AM

I'm not a fragrance type girl, but lately I've been into body mists. This is such a nice scent. It candyish without being overly sweet, and while the vanilla is subtle, I can smell a soft tangerine-type smell in it too. Not as tart as the Lemon one, which I like. Great for summer, and this will be my back-to-school scent. What a great way to start the day!

Scrubs -St. Ives - Green Tea Scrub

Didn't like it - the grains are way too fine and small, did nothing for me. Also, it created an annoying lather, I hate it when a scrub foams up. Waste

Lipstick -MAC - Go For It
rated 4 of 5
coldkiwi 7/15/2010 3:17:00 AM

Go For It is insaaane! This is a bright, medium blue purple. The tiny silver shimmer are very complimenting, as they aren't too obvious and look nice with the shine. The coverage is buildable, I can go from a light berry to a gorgeous deeper violet. I'm really liking the Cremesheen formula, I've been stuck on glazes for a while, and I like how it has a very creamy, soft, almost "milky" appearance, feels great on my lips. I just wish this were more long-lasting, it looks like a stain within 3 hours, but I honestly have no problem reapplying. Oh,and it may make your teeth appear a little yellow. :o( Regardless, I love this purple!
