I like the click brush pen, it gives good control over the amount of concealer coming out and is the best of the liquid concealers that I have tried. No.4 is a perfect match for me and it covers well without being too thick unlike Clinique all about eyes concealer. Of course it needs setting with powder or it will smear and run into the lines around the eyes. If only they could fix this problem!

Eye Primer -NARS - Pro-Prime Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base

Yes! For oily eyelids and humid weather and long hours of MU wearing, this does the job very well. I use a tiny little blob on my eyelids and then my eyeliner pencil from mac. I finish with the Nars Smudge Brush and voila, wide awake eyes which still look good at the end of a long day.

Foundations -Prescriptives - Custom Blend [DISCONTINUED]

Only just got my HG foundation and it will be discontinued very soon....how sad. Lauder really need to get their act together and find another way to give us another custom blend foundation...they have enough lines...maybe BB or EL or Clinique? Unable to get a Custom blend concealer as the saleswomen claimed no more empty bottles supplied and they will not use any others. Very sad about that as I need a decent concealer more than a foundation. Hears hoping for good news later. Maybe another company could start the same service? Must be money in this as masses of women were stocking up in Selfridges and House of Fraser in London just a few days ago. Wish I could fly to the US to get the concealer...

Lips -NARS - Velvet Matte Lip Pencil

Walkyrie is my standby lip product if I'm not sure what to wear. Lost the first one and had to rebuy ouch! it is expensive but invaluable. Easy to use and light to carry, great to take on trips tho' it needs gloss or vaseline on top as it can emphasise less than perfect ly plumped lips. I will probably keep buying this and may even try some of the other colours.

Concealers -Clinique - All About Eyes Concealer

Not a bad product though as only 2 colours available here in Hong Kong and neither is perfect...I am still looking... Strange thing why no reviews for CLINIQUE DERMA WHITE SPOT CONCENTRATE CONCEALER SPF 21? That is a better colour match for me but a little dry to use. Has anyone else tried this? I would love to know what you think! BTW does anyone know what has happened to the STEPHANE MARAIS make up line? Their concealer worked quite well for me but that was years ago and I never see it anywhere. So still looking for HG!

Makeup Brushes -NARS - Push Liner Brush 02
rated 4 of 5

This has been the most Wonderful Brush for me! As someone who has never managed to look good with eyeliner (lopsided, uneven lines are my speciality!) My eyes looked subtly enhanced and both look even (Yipee!) If you are as old as me and as useless at eye lining then please try again with the Push....I really did not believe I could do such a good job. The Nars Senior International Makeup Artist who was making me up showed me how to use it...and promised me it was "pretty impossible" to get it wrong...and he was right! I am totally delighted with everything about it except the price ....so I refuse absolutely to pay for the travel pack(around US$200 with delivery) and as I couldn't find a separate travel push brush on ebay....so....thinking about buying another Push Brush and cutting off the end and sticking it in with my Shu Uemura travel brushes in the handy clear plastic holder....(total awesome travel set) I'd appreciate any helpful advice on this!

Treatments -Skinceuticals - Hydrating B5 Gel
rated 4 of 5

Using this with CE Ferulic has given my skin a bright and even tone.I layer B5 under Olay Serum and add another moisturiser if my skin feels extra dry, then I follow with sun protector. At night I use Alpha Hydrox AHA ,then B5 then Olay Serum. The packaging is a nuisance and I hope they change to a more practical, hygenic pump bottle. I refill the sample bottles from the big bottles (which I keep in the fridge) as the smaller size is easier to handle and to take on holiday.

Treatments -Skinceuticals - C E Ferulic

Have been using this for more than 1 year and have noticed some improvement of skin tone and brightness (before I was using Cellex C which seemed nearly as effective) After reading MUA comments about oxidation I refill a sample size from the big size which I keep in the fridge. It is fiddly to use and can be unhygenic but that applies to Cellex C as well It would be much better in an airtight pump bottle!

Misc Beauty Tools -Revlon - Makeup Eraser Pen
rated 4 of 5
cocotte 11/20/2007 11:33:00 AM

Great for cleaning up the mascara and eyeliner mistakes and easy to take out for on the spot fixing up. I like this though as others have noted, it is easy to smear the rest of the eye makeup so you have to take care to dry up the area afterwards with a Qtip or dab of tissue.

Eyeliner -Revlon - Colorstay Eyeliner
rated 3 of 5
cocotte 11/20/2007 11:21:00 AM

Oily eyelids, humid conditions, quite a lot of tearing from contacts but it lasted! Not 16 hours more like 6 hours but that's great. Hopeless sharpener but small and light enough to carry around. Better staying power on upper lids, smears more easily on lower lids especially as I tear from wearing contacts.
