For just over $1 this stuff rules. Easily as good as lip balms 10 times the price. Will repurchase forever!
Pressed Powders -E.L.F. - Studio Translucent Mattifying Powder
cocofabulous 4/26/2013 2:13:00 PM
I have mixed feelings about this powder. I have dry-to-normal skin and so can't comment on how well this fares against oil - I use it just to take away the shine of my foundation on my T-zone. Originally I really liked it, and I still do, my main issue is that it gets used up SO quickly. I don't re-apply throughout the day and even just with one application in the morning one compact of this will only last me about a month. Maybe I'm picky but as someone who doesn't have oily skin that isn't a long time! Would repurchase as I like the product itself but I'll stick with something that lasts a bit longer right now.
I really liked this on my waterline but I must be allergic because it makes my eyes sting and weep like crazy. It stays put on my lids BUT I have to wait a few minutes for it to really dry properly, otherwise it smudges up on my brow bone. Wouldn't repurchase but if you're not allergic to it I can imagine it's a dream! ETA: I've lowered this to 2 lippies. It smudges like a bitch on my lids even though they're not at all oily. I love how black it is but other than that... meh.
I bought this when I worked at Lush and had staff discount. Does it do a good job of sloughing away dead skin on your lips? Yes. Is it worth £5+ a pot? Heeeeell no. It smells really nice and definitely makes your lips softer but it's nothing some castor sugar and essential oils couldn't do for a fraction of the price. Won't repurchase.
This is really lovely! I can't comment on anti-aging as I'm 24 but after night-time use I wake up to glowy, soft skin that doesn't have it's usual uneven redness. I've used this 5 or 6 times and have barely made a dent in it so the price is amazing too. I have dry to normal skin and don't use a moisturiser on nights I use this as it would be a bit too much for my skin - this serum is very moisturising for me. Definite repurchase!
Hair -Wen by Chaz Dean - Sweet Almond Mint Cleansing Conditioner
cocofabulous 3/15/2013 5:14:00 PM
This stuff is just meh. I used my mum's bottle for a week or so and it's not awful but for me it's no better than a really good drugstore conditioner. I absolutely would not give you £25 for a bottle. I really hate the smell - I don't get anything sweet almond, and the mind just makes it smell like toothpaste. Wouldn't purchase.
It's a nice scrub and does leave your skin soft, but it's not quite scrubby enough for me. In the tub it looks pretty rough but on my body it's just not tough enough! Wouldn't repurchase as I don't like it enough to warrant £8 a pot.
This stuff is just the best. Originally I was only going to use it as a face scrub because my skin is quite dry, but I've found using it every morning to be absolutely fine. My skin is CRAZY soft since I've started using this. It does even skin tone out a bit but it's just a really wonderful all-round cleanser. It really 'polishes' your skin. Will repurchase forever and ever!
Treatments (Eye) -Boots - Vitamin E Gentle Eye Cream
cocofabulous 7/2/2012 10:04:00 AM
Love this stuff. Super cheap & really moisturising. The SPF is a HUGE bonus too! Boots regularly have their Vitamin E range on 3 for 2 making it even cheaper as well. I was using another eye cream which was very moisturising (I have a dry eye area) but it was making my eye make-up slide off even with a primer. I've never had that problem with this cream. Definite repurchase!
I bought this as the SPF is higher than the day moisturiser I was previously using but it's just... eh. I have to use loads of it to quench my dry/normal skin and it rolls up making those irritating little balls when applying make-up. If you have oily skin I wouldn't go near this as it leaves your face SUPER shiny, even under foundation. Won't repurchase.
I'll reiterate what others have said - this is NOT a concealer. This goes UNDER a concealer. Also, I cannot stress how important it is to get a colour match in a store rather than ordering online. I almost ordered Light Peach online, but passed a John Lewis and went in for a consultation. Turns out Light Bisque (a pinky shade) is a perfect match for my skin (pale, very yellow toned). I have had constant troubles finding concealers for under/around my eyes - I have purpley-blue shadows under my eyes, and a sort of grey-brown on my eyelids up to my browbone (sexy!). This is has honestly completely changed my confidence. With this on, you'd never know how terrible the discolouration is. It doesn't seem to have any effect on the concealers I put on top; if anything it makes them last a bit longer. Will repurchase forever. This has changed my make-up bag!
Eye Makeup Remover -Boots - Essentials Eye Make-up Remover
cocofabulous 8/7/2011 1:39:00 PM
HG Eye Makeup Remover! Works better than anything else I've tried - some of which were literally 10 times the price - and is cheap as chips. Looooove this stuff!
Honestly, these are ridiculously expensive but worth it. The best tweezers out there and I've had mine for 2 years without any change in their hair-grabby-ability!
I've been using this for a few months now and I like it alot more than I expected to. Leaves my fine hair ridiculously soft and very shiny. My only gripe is that you can't remove the top to get the last little bit out, but it's made such a big difference to my hair I can't knock a lippie off. Definite repurchase!
This stuff is SO COOL. It's exactly as advertised; apply a coat of the thick black goop, wait a couple of seconds and voila! Hasn't made any difference to staying power of my polish and looks really awesome, I've had a couple of people ask me how I did it. Will definitely repurchase!
