Eyeliner -Revlon - Colorstay Eyeliner-Black

Horrible! Not creamy at all nor did it stay put. It tugs on my lids and I'm very careful with it. By the end of the day, it smudged and ended all in my crease leaving me with racoon eyes. Not very flattering at all.

Lip Gloss -Revlon - Super Lustrous Lipgloss - Nude Lustre

It's a nice pinkish nude gloss. It Doesn't mute out my lips but adds just a touch of color. The problem is the gloss doesn't last very long. It seems to dry after a few hours leaving my lips worst than before I applied it. (I use lipbalm before gloss too!). I like the color but wouldn't purchase again.

I tried to stray away but I couldn't. I always come back after a few facial mistakes. Nothing will ever keep my skin as clear as this treatment. I don't use it as much as the directions say. I also don't use this on a daily basis. I probably use it 3 times a week or less. I rotate it with the aha and they keep my face clear and luminous.

Treatments -Acne.org - AHA+

Best decision I ever made for my skin. I was using the benzoyl peroxide treatment for a couple years. It treated my acne but didn't treat scars or dark spots. My skin was clear but red. The aha calmed my skin. When I first applied it, my skin itched. After a week I saw major results. No more redness. All I wear on a daily basis is tarte smooth operator tinted moisturizer and bronzer. No more heavy foundation or powder foundation.

Moisturizers -Origins - VitaZing SPF 15 Energy-boosting moisturizer with Mangosteen
rated 2 of 5
cnguyen25 12/9/2011 2:52:00 AM

I wish it worked for me but it didn't. No matter how sheer I applied this moisturizer, it turned orangey on me. I like how moisturizing it is but that's not enough. I expected a little more from vitazing. It didn't last all day on my skin. It melts away after maybe 6hours and left me with blotchy, oily/shiney skin.

Sunscreen -Neutrogena - Healthy Defense Daily Moisturizer SPF 30 With Pure Screen for Sensitive Skin
rated 4 of 5

Hmm.. I don't understand why people are adding their review on the SPF 50 version.. this is for SPF30! and for all you sensitive skin people.. if you're skin is really that sensitive then you shouldn't use an SPF higher than 30 anyway. It's been proven that SPF 30 blocks 95% UVB/UVA.. Anyway, moving on to this review. I had had really bad acne that finally cleared up and this really helped me out. I'm not saying its a miracle worker, but since I've been using a lot of BP and glycolic acid based acne gel, this moisturizer has helped my skin heal (I have a lot of post acne red marks). I was told from my derm to apply a sunscreen or moisurizer with spf 30 when going outside. Of all the moisturizers out there I chose this one and it has been working quite well for me. I've been using it for about a 3 months and no bad reactions or breakouts. :) I am happy with this purchase and it has helped me heal and kept my skin from burning. I hope this doesnt get discontinued..

It fits perfectly in my crease! It's amazing! The MAC 217 is way too big for my eye crease even though my eyes are huge! How funny.. lol. Anyway.. I love using this brush for my crease and blending. For 1.99+tax, you can't go wrong!

Moisturizers -Clean & Clear - SOFT Oil-Free Moisturzer - Day ] [DISCONTINUED]

It stung my face and made it oilier. It also broke me out after 2 uses. It's also quite expensive for a drugstore product. Don't waste your money on this. it's a waste of time to even try it.

Cleansers -Clean & Clear - Advantage Acne Cleanser
rated 3 of 5
cnguyen25 10/14/2009 10:54:00 PM

I bought the 3-in-one Advantage Acne Cleanser from the C&C Advantage line. It was just okay for me. Personally, I like the Continuous Acne Cleanser better. It's creamier and leaves my skin feeling clean and refreshed. The Advantage Acne wash seems to leave my skin a little layer of soap scum. The percentage of the benzoyl peroxide is quite low as well. For the Continuous Acne Cleanser, it's 10%. For this, it's 5% and from what I heard from other people, this cleanser is supposed to be a newer, improved version of the Continuous Acne Cleanser. For a buck more, I don't see better results so I'm sticking to my Continuous Acne Cleanser. And the little exfoliating beads didn't work for me. I find it to be annoying and I rather use my St. Ives Apricot scrub for exfoliation. I only resulted to this cleanser because Walmart kept running out of the Continuous Acne Cleanser and I really needed the benzoyl peroxide treatment. My skin was starting to break out in blemishes after 2 weeks of not using the Continuous Acne Cleanser.

Cleansers -Clean & Clear - Continuous Control Acne Cleaner

cnguyen25 10/14/2009 10:39:00 PM

edit: 12/9/2011 so I learned the hard way. This cleanser worked very well in the beginning but over time I noticed my skin getting drier and drier. It got so dry that it was just scaley looking. It didn't matter how much or what kind of moisturizer I used, my skin was just dry, red, irritated and broken out. I stopped using this after a month and started using acne.org products. It was the best decision I ever made :) I was using all three steps but right now I just spot treat with the treatment. My current cleanser I'm using is actually Johnson & Johnson moisturizing baby wash (pink bottle). I use it as a cleanser and body wash. I make sure to remove all my makeup with makeup wipes before cleansing with the baby wash. Original review: I am in love with this cream cleanser! I usually don't like using cream cleansers because of the texture it leaves after I pat dry but this is a different story. It leaves a very tingy, refreshing feeling on my skin. I think its the menthol in it. It's very cooling and I dont know, I like that minty feel, kind of like a breath mint but for your face. Lol! Anyway, I gave this cleanser a try because I really needed something to help my acne and everything with salicylic acid just made my skin worst. So I decided to use something with benzoyl peroxide and the C&C Conintuous Control Acne Cleanser seems to be the only cleanser at Walmart to have that ingredient. I have very oily, sensitive, acne prone skin. It was a miracle that this product didn't make my skin worst nor did it sting or irritate it at all. It just left my skin feeling super clean and it works perfect before I apply my Everyday Minerals Foundation. I can't use any toners or moisturizers because my skin is literally that oily and according to my dermotologist, it's best that I just apply makeup on my bare skin and it works! I found that my foundation is fine without any moisturizer, toner, primer etc.. I only have 2 steps in my skin regimen and that's washing my face with the Continuous Control Acne Cleanser and EM Foundation. That's it. I'll add blush when I feel like I need some color (EM's Summer Stroll or Pumpkin Pie blush are my favorite!) I think people with acne prone skin should give this cleanser a try. It feels weird at first but use it at night for a week so your skin could adjust to the menthol feeling. Then start using it twice a day. This cleanser really cleared my skin a lot! I had really bad acne before I met this cleanser and I'm glad I gave it a shot along with my EM :)

Bronzers -Sugar Cosmetics - Tropic Tan Bronzer/Shimmer Duo
rated 5 of 5
cnguyen25 10/14/2009 10:26:00 PM

I love this bronzer! It has been the only bronzer that does not turn me orangey or red. I haven't tried many but compared to the otheres, BE's Warmth and Benefit's Hoola, this one wins hands down. It comes with bronzer on one side and a highlighter on the other side. It goes on smooth and gives you that natural subtle glow. Nothing too dramatic where people could totally tell you have makeup/bronzer on which is a plus for me. I don't like wearing makeup that makes me look artificially made up. Makeup should look natural and enhance that natural beauty, not make you look made up and fake.

Blush -Bare Escentuals - Warmth All Over Face Color
rated 2 of 5
cnguyen25 10/14/2009 10:21:00 PM

Warmth was the first bronzer I had ever used but after switching it to Sugar's Tropic Tan, I have to say, this bronzer cannot compare. When I first apply warmth, it gave me that natural tan that I wanted since I am a bit light during winter/spring. After a couple of hours, it started to turn orangy and my cousin pointed out that I look very red like I had a skin irritation or something. That's when I realized that I had to switch it up and got Sugar's Tropic Tan and boy! What a difference! Sugar gave me a subtle tan without the orange and the red! There is a price difference though. Warmth is $18. Sugar is $25. I would rather spend that extra $7 to get that nicer tan and it also comes in a split pan with a gold shimmer highlighter. Worth every penny! I had the Sugar Bronzer for 2 years now and it's still going!

Powder -Everyday Minerals - Foundation - Intensive formula [DISCONTINUED]
rated 4 of 5
cnguyen25 10/7/2009 1:00:00 AM

I like this formula for Everyday Minerals foundation. It's quite intense but that just means you dont need a concealer to cover up problems like I do. I have a lot of redness and acne scars. With this foundation, it covers almost all my blemishes and much more! The only problem I have with this foundation is that the shade may seem a little darker than the shade you really are in other formulas. Other than that, it's good if you like or need the full coverage without adding other concealers.

Blush -Everyday Minerals - Summer Stroll

cnguyen25 10/7/2009 12:55:00 AM

You cant go wrong with this peachy blush! I have been looking for the perfect peach blush and this is it. I have tried some peach blushes from MAC, BeneFit's Georgia, NYX, Lancome's, Bare Escentuals.. but the shade was either blended into my skin or didn't give me the glow I was looking for. I love this blush and I dont think I could go a day without it. My skin tends to turn pinkish/reddish during the day due to either extreme cold from outside or warmth from heaters inside. So, peach blushes is a must have for me. It gives me the perfect glow and natural peachy flush I'm looking for to cancel out the pinkish flush I get naturally (which is a major no no because I look like I have a fever or I'm sick when I turn pink!).

Eye Primer -Too Faced - Shadow Insurance, Anti-Crease Eye Shadow Primer
rated 1 of 5
cnguyen25 10/6/2009 11:02:00 PM

It didn't work for me. I don't know why it didn't but it didnt. I could say that the packaging was easy to use but that's about it. It didnt prevent creasing and it didn't make my shadows look any better. The texture is very thin and liquidy. After some uses I noticed that the eye primer started to separate into oil and a peachy texture. I tried shaking it but it was still the same so I just threw it out. Not worth it.
