Gels/Soaps -The Body Shop - Bergamot Shower Gel
cmnakamoto 11/18/2005 4:59:00 PM
I really like the smell of this shower gel. It's a little pricey for Body Shop IMO. But I like the fresh citrus scents in the shower and this definitely does the job. It reminds me of the scents you smell in the spas. Very nice and the smell lingers in the bathroom but doesn't linger long on your skin.

Conditioner -Bulgari - Eau Parfumee au The Blanc
cmnakamoto 8/21/2005 7:07:00 PM
I received this as part of the toiletries at a high end hotel. The shampoo and conditioner are VERY heavily perfumed. If you like the smell of the perfume (of the same name) then you might like the lasting scent that the shampoo and conditioner leaves on your hair. I don't like the smell, it reminded me of old ladies and it began to give me a headache after a few hours. Yuck. As far as a conditioner goes it was nothing special and didn't seem to help or hurt my hair. I think the full size bottle (6.8oz) costs around $30!! Spend your money elsewhere.

Conditioner -Aveda - Aveda Color Conserve Sun Protector
cmnakamoto 7/14/2005 4:39:00 PM
Foolish me. I keep trying different items from Aveda's Color Conserve line and none of them work out for me! I like some of their hair styling products but the Aveda shampoos and conditioners seem sub-par to me. The Color Conserve Foaming Leave-In conditioner was recommended to me when I asked my stylist to help me choose a product that could mask the suns damaging rays on my color treated hair. It dispenses from the bottle just like Aveda's Phommolient. It's liquid but when you pump the dispenser a foam comes out. The only problem is that this product leaves your hair feeling sticky no matter how little I use. I always apply from the back of my head and work the product forward. The foam doesn't leave your hair feeling soft. It leaves a residue which coats your hair. I guess that's where the sun protection comes from? I haven't been using the product long enough to tell if it provides good protection from color fading. I will not re-purchase.

Eye Shadow -Lancome - Colour Focus spontaneous
cmnakamoto 5/18/2005 9:36:00 PM
I have been searching for a great wine colored eye shadow for a long time and I've finally found it. This color is so gorgeous. Light wine color with a hint of shimmer but not so much that you look like a drunken party girl. I think it matches well on Asian skin combined with our brown eyes. Beware, the eye shadow looks nothing like the Spontaneous that's listed on Lancome's website. The shadow itself is more of a light burgandy wine color.

Scrubs -Peter Thomas Roth - Botanical Buffing Beads

I really, REALLY like this facial scrub. After reading the reviews on here, I got a big sample from Sephora (about a week's worth!). I was very pleased with the scrub and ended up buying a full size. It's not too abrasive, smells great, and rinses clean but doesn't strip my skin. It's great!

Liquid -NARS - Oilfree foundation
cmnakamoto 2/2/2005 2:17:00 PM
I really like this foundation. I have VERY oily skin, I'm usually start blotting with Clean and Clear Oil Blotting sheets around 9am. I found a great deal on the NARS oil free foundation in Sahara on Ebay and boy was I glad. The only downside is that it doesn't contain SPF so I have to apply a sunscreen separately. I also found that the foundation goes on smoothly if I apply foundation primer first. Using a damp sponge, I get great looking skin and I've got large pores to boot. This foundation helps to disguise the pores.

Lotions/ Creams -Fresh - sugarbath body lotion in lychee
cmnakamoto 2/2/2005 2:08:00 PM
This lotion is CRAP! That's what I get for impulse buying before reading reviews on this site. I couldn't help myself though, this lotion smells A M A Z I N G! Unfortunately it doesn't moisturize at all. I will not repurchase.

Conditioner -Frederic Fekkai - Glossing Conditioner
cmnakamoto 9/14/2004 1:19:00 PM
This entire FF glossing line is fabulous, although it is VERY expensive. $20 for Conditioner? But trust these reviews, this is as close to salon quality hair that you are going to get. Wow, my hair looks and feels great. So shiny and silky!

Shampoo -Frederic Fekkai - GLOSS Glossing Shampoo
cmnakamoto 9/14/2004 1:18:00 PM
I really like the entire FF glossing line although it will break your bank if you use too much. The shampoo is very thick, a little goes a long way. But my hair has never looked better, as close to salon quality as you will get at home.

Styling Products -Frederic Fekkai - Glossing Cream with Olive Oil
cmnakamoto 9/14/2004 1:16:00 PM
All I can say is "WOW!" to the entire FF glossing line. I received this set as a birthday gift but the best gift of all is to have salon quality hair every day. Even my husband gave me tons of compliments on my hair until he realized his "mistake" because these products are so expensive. The glossing cream is fantastic, does not weigh hair down and makes it so shiny. I color my hair and the cream really brings out the auburn highlights. I will repurchase, I like this better than the Biosilk Silk Therapy which can feel greasy if too much is used.

Bath Treatments -LUSH - Sakura Bath Ballistic
cmnakamoto 7/20/2004 4:07:00 PM
I really liked the smell of this bath bomb in the package (very fresh and clean) but once dropping it into the tub, you couldn't smell anything at all. It was not very moisturizing. Alas, the LUSH Butterball Bomb is still the best bomb for me!

Bath Treatments -LUSH - Waving Not Drowning Bath Bomb
cmnakamoto 7/12/2004 3:34:00 PM
I usually love LUSH Bath Bombs but I did not like Waving Not Drowning. It smelled great in the package, very light and clean. When dropped into the bath it dissolved quickly and you couldn't smell anything at all! Left my skin slightly moisturized but not as well as the Butterball Bomb. I will not re-purchase this.

Shampoo -Neutrogena - Anti-Residue Shampoo
cmnakamoto 7/8/2004 2:39:00 PM
This shampoo is great for eliminating all styling product residue from your hair. I only use it once per week because it is very harsh. Strips everything from your hair and leaves it squeaky clean!

Bath Treatments -LUSH - Butterball Bath Bomb
cmnakamoto 7/8/2004 2:13:00 PM
I would recommend this bath bomb to whoever will listen to me. It's a smaller bath bomb but it packs a great moisturizing punch! Turns the water a light yellow color but no messy clean up necessary. Makes skin soft and smells light and clean. Be cautious standing in the tub after use because it can make the tub a little slick! But the awesome scent lingers for a few days afterwards, will re-purchase again and again!
