Cleansers -La Vitton - Water Soluble - Facial Cleansing Oil - Oily-Combo
cmil 11/1/2006 9:51:00 PM
I think I probably be the only person who like this so far. I've been using La Vitton since when they only have one oil cleanser. Later on they decided to make one for normal/dry and combination/oily. The formula had been change like 3 times and I have tried all 3 different combo/oily formulas and 2 original. So that's like 5 different formula total. Yes, La Vitton keep changing their formulas... I like their very first formula, the original (which was for all skin type) one, the most.
It was only like $17 when I first started using this and now the price is like $25. I'm glad that they remade the combination/oily cleansing oil based on their original formula. I haven't tried that one yet but I soon will. I like it how I can adjust the moisture level with the water temperature. This cleanse my skin well, no more black heads and super clear, even tone skin. Very affordable and economical.

Masks -DHC - Tourmaline Pack Mask
cmil 10/4/2006 7:16:00 PM
I sometime feel like giving this a 4, 1 point off for the smell. It smell like metal as everyone state. For me it's not a bad thing, but my mother always complain about it when I use this mask. I guess for those with super sensitive nose, you should avoid this. I use Aveda Tourmaline mask and had great result so I decided to give DHC a try since I like their products also. I don't have the most perfect skin on earth but this gives me near perfect skin. My skin is very picky and it loves this mask. It does what Aveda mask does for me which is purifying, shrinking the pores, even out skin tone, and help my blemish fades away faster. I think this is more clarify than Aveda so I like to use this when I feel like I need to purify my skin more than normal. It's not drying at all for my combination skin.

Moisturizers -Aveda - Outer Peace Acne Relief Lotion
cmil 9/29/2006 5:45:00 PM
Texture: Lightweight lotion, pleasant smell of soft rose and lemon
This is one of the two acne lotion out of all the acne lotion I've tried that doesn't dry out my skin at all. I've tried a lot, high end like those offer at Sephora or Sak and mid-end and low end, because I'm not blessed with good skin =[. Anyways, Aveda Outer Peace is probably their most expensive skin care series for the amount you're getting, but the quality is very good, especially if you have ultra sensitive skin. I went through 2 tubes of this and I must say it does work wonders for me. Reduces oily, tone up the skin and my blemish seem to fade away even faster ever since I start using this. I also use Aveda Tourmaline line (the mask and fluid) in conjuction with this. This lotion doesn't reduce and normalize my skin like Aveda Tourmaline Fluid does.
I was using Kiss My Face Breakout Gel and Nature's Gate Acne Treatment before, both are cheaper and I get better result than Aveda Outer Peace. I bought this out of an impulsive both because I have a habit of wanting to try out all the problem skin care out there, hehe. I probably won't buy this again because Kiss My Face Breakout Gel and Nature's Gate Treatment works better for me. This does keep my face from breaking out, doesn't dry out my skin (which nearly all acne product does since I also have thin sensitive skin), and helps tone and fade away my blemish; but so does KMF and Nature's Gate for me. What this lotion lost to the other two brands is that it doesn't give me smooth porcelain skin. When I use KMF Breakout Gel, I don't have any small bumps around my cheeks, but when I use Aveda Outer Peace lotion, I do....the strange thing is that it doesn't break me out but there are tiny bumps..You can't really see it since I have even skintone but in like dim light it's visible and I don't like to feel my face bumpy. At the same time, I know it's preventing and helping my problem skin because I breakout easily. I'm willing to spend on expensive skin care to keep my problem skin trouble free but this doesn't cut it for me. At $38 for 1.7 oz, it's quite a huge price tag that doesn't make my skin look at its best. But this is the only acne face lotion beside Nature's Gate and KMF that doesn't dry out my skin at all.
I would recommend this if you have sensitive problem skin and nothing you've tried before work. Unlike Proactive, this doesn't dry out my eye areas even after 4 months of use.

Gels/Soaps -Kiss My Face - Sudz C-Weed Body Wash
cmil 9/24/2006 8:36:00 PM
I like this alot, both the shower gel and the soap. I find the soap lather a bit more easy than the gel. I love the sweet orange smell. This doesn't dry out my skin and my skin get dry easily from harsh soap. I never use dry store anymore because it's too harsh for my sensitive skin. I mainly use soaps sell in store like Whole Food. The ingredients in C-Weed soap/gel are so wonderful too. I've been using Kiss My Face body care for about two years now and am very happy with it. Another brand I like is Aubrey Organics, but I find Aubrey Organics product quality tend not to be very consistent like KMF is, so I usually get KMF more. C-Weed gel are available at kissmyface.com and amazon.com now. I first bought C-Weed body gel at amazon.com though. The deal they have their for KMF is pretty good for my college student budget.

Lip Treatments -Jo Malone - Vitamin E Lip Conditioner
cmil 9/9/2006 9:39:00 AM
My lip had been chapped and flaky for awhile, for like about 6 months. My old lip conditioner wasn't working so I decided to give this a chance. USD$20 is a lot for me to spend on a lip conditioner but I have bleeding problem from time to time with dry, chapped, and flaky lip, and it's so painful, that I didn't care anymore. I just want my lips to be cure. The first ingredient is petroleum, I don't like petroleum to be honest, but Jo Malone can prove that she's better than drugstore brands [which always have petroleum in their lip balm and conditioner]. I looked at the review for Jo Malone Lip Conditioner and decided to get it. I'm very happy that all the reviewers are right, and thanks guys!, that this is very moisturizing and I get soft lips in the morning when I used this at night on the first day! I just used this for 3 days. I haven't have soft, smooth, and problem free lips for so long. I adore this lip conditioner. It's concentrated so I use it sparely and still get the benefit. Could be just me since I have sensitive lips, I have a bit of that minty tingle when I use this, but it doesn't bother me. This smell nice, like rich honey. I have nothing to complain about. $20 for a lip treatment like this is not a bad price to me either. It also exfoliant my dry lips too, save money from buying extra lip exfoliantor =D.

Treatments -Aveda - Tourmaline Charged Radiance Fluid
cmil 9/3/2006 1:16:00 PM
Tourmaline Charged Radiance Fluid: Liquid gel, transparent light yellow, and have a very soft nice smell to it.
Skin Condition: problem/sensitive/combination skin
One of my must have product now. I've been using it for about 2 months and I can see a big difference in my skin quality. For the first week, I can see that it helps smooth out my skin texture. I have porous looking skin before this, mainly on the forehead and around the nose area. My skin is combination and can get oily in the summer. This balance out my skin and helped making it look fresh longer. I don't have oily skin after 3 hours anymore. After the second week, my skin look fresh all day. No over oil production or slick anywhere on the face anymore. I don't know what Tourmaline really do, but with the rest of the ingredients, I can tell it's very benefitical, and I bought it for those ingredients. My skin really likes greentea and greentea is one of the top ingredients. I haven't have any breakout from this product and this product also calm my skin too. More even tone, smoother looking skin [my pores aren't obvious anymore, yay!], no more greasy face, and few less breakouts. I have some blemish marks and this help speed up the recovery. My skin doesn't get dry out or oily so easily like before, it feels like I have normal skin. It help my problem skin so much. I don't even wear foundation anymore because this make my skin look so good! I use this with Aveda Tourmaline Charged Masque. They are wonderful together. I haven't try the Tourmaline creme yet though.

Conditioner -Lancome - Extra Radiance Repairing Conditioner
cmil 7/12/2006 6:28:00 PM
I don't know if I want to repurchase this again. I don't have damage hair or extremely dry hair so maybe this is not working for me? I bought this to help keep my hair color last longer. I think it did helped the color last longer but it's too much for my hair. I used it like once a week, only on weekend when I'm not going out or when I tied up my hair because this conditioner make my hair limpy. It smell like Pantene to me, which is not bad because I do like their smell. I don't think there's anything special about this conditioner. I prefer Philosophy comparing to this. Philosophy make my hair turn into silk. I don't see that effect with this.

Styling Products -Aveda - Purefume Brilliant Anti-Humectant Pomade
cmil 7/8/2006 12:11:00 PM
I love to use this in humid weather. Living in FL during the summer, this is my must have hair style product. My hair in very humid weather will become more frizzy. This maintain its smoothness without any extra weight. I'm very impressed of how little I need to use for it to work effectively. Normally I would just use this to de-frizz some of my baby hair in winter. My favorite part about this product is that it doesn't leave my hair feeling greasy. My hair feel and look healthy when I touch it vs. other pomades that I've tried. Aveda Humectant Pomade is equally nice in quality also as this, but I think it's lighter in fragrance. I use nearly all of Aveda hair care because I'm a big fan of their hair products, and this one is one of my favorite fragrance.

Styling Products -Aveda - Light Elements Defining Whip
cmil 7/8/2006 12:03:00 PM
I only use this for my updo hairstyle, if I leave my hair down, I won't use this product. It tame all my fly aways and baby hair nicely, giving me a smooth clean look. This product holds my hair style really well, but it only works when I use a lot of it. That's why won't use this product when I leave my hair down because my hair ended looking very greasy; but it works wonderfully for all my updo hairstyle. I have thick coarse hair and I think this is for people with finer hair.

Conditioner -Jonathan - Serious Volume Volumizing Conditioner
cmil 5/7/2006 12:25:00 PM
This product doesn't condition that well for a conditioner, and my hair doesn't need any special care at all. It's normal-oily, never dye, and I feel very blessed for having good hair. I rarely need conditioner beside using it for maintence. My hair doesn't have anymore volume than normal either. I think it's a waste of money for me. I got it as a GWP. I've used cheaper conditioner and it works better. It smell good. I think this is the most least moistuzing conditioner I've ever used.

Treatments -Clarins - Skin Beauty Repair Concentrate
cmil 5/1/2006 11:53:00 AM
I wanted to like this, but it doesn't do anything for my skin. I have sensitive skin. It doesn't brighten up my face or sooth it or anything. I'm a fan of oil for skin care, but this just doesn't do it for me. I'm willing to pay the high price if it actually works, but this doesn't. I've used it for 3 months off and on. Tried to use it after waxing, after exfoliate, and many more, but it still doesn't do a thing! Even under my face cream. I can't see the benefit of this for me. I use La Vitton and DHC treatment oil, and both of them work much better and cheaper comparing to this.

Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Charmzone CRD Balancing Control Cream
cmil 4/22/2006 6:32:00 PM
One of my favorite skincare product. It's not like the typical peel or scrub. I think Korean offer one of the most gentlest form of skincare out there. This works even better than peel or scrub in exfoliating my skin. Charmzone is also one of my favorite Korean skincare brand. I've tried serveral Korean skincare brand, including the big name Amore, and all of their series brand. I think Charmzone offer much better skincare products than they do.
The end result I have for this is smooth, soft, and supple skin. I do wash it again with a facial soap because I have combination skin. Before this, I use Clarins Gentle Peeling. I have to rub very hard, and it's more messier. This is a lot more effective and gentle. Leave it one for a few moments and just massage the face and off the dead skin goes... I notice clearer skin each time I use it. Smaller pores and skin look so refine afterward. This replace Clarins Gentle Peeling, which I really loved, for me. I paid USD$33 for this and I think it's a good price. It's 6.08 oz vs. Clarins Gentle Peel for 1.4 oz for USD$30.

Gels/Soaps -La Vitton - Moisturizing Soap
cmil 4/21/2006 12:40:00 PM
I've tried two kind, Lavender and Rosehip.
Lavender: clear and transparent, smell like lavender essence (very soothing and relaxing, I highly recommended for lavender fan), very moisturizing.
I use this as a face cleanser also and it's the most gentle bar soap I've use on my face. Even more gentle than DHC soap and I'm a big fan of their soaps. The lathering is medium and some-what creamy. I have thin, sensitive facial skin so most of the time what's gentle on some people is very harsh on mine. Cleaning property is excellent. Thoroughly wash away all the grease. I tested it with all the soap before I use it on my face. Cleans the body as gentle as the face, great for all seasons for me.
Rosehip: amber colored and transparent, smell like fresh rose (somewhat like rose otto smell but not quite there yet, it likes the soothing depth of rose otto. This one took me awhile to get use to it because I'm not a rose fan. Now that I'm used to it, I think it smell fresh and clean. Definitely smell like red roses as they stated), more drying than the Lavender Soap.
I think this is more drying probably because of the exfoliating property it has. It's not a big different, but on my sensitive skin, everything is a big different, lol. While it's a bit more drying, I can still use it every day.
La Vitton soaps are the most gentlest soaps I've used yet. Will let you know if I ever use another soap that is more gentle. I will repurchase the soap again. The price is at its best.

Hair -La Vitton - Neem Hair Oil
cmil 4/21/2006 12:20:00 PM
The packaging is very convenient to carry it around: small, plastic, it's like flat bottle. Well not waste spaces, which is good because I travel a lot and like my things to be as small as possible to save room.
This oil doesn't make my hair greasy when I applied on it, yet the moisturizing level is great. It does add volume on my hair. I can use this in replacement for conditioner. My hair is normal-oily, never dye or chemically treated. It smell pleasant. I won't say I like this smell, but I do think it smell nice. Soft and it will go away after wash. I use a lot of natural hair treatment, and some smell like nasty herbal medicine! My hair looks very healthy, glossy and so smooth. I'm pretty lazy when it come to oil treatment because I don't think I need it and the process is kind of messy to me, but I'm willing to do it with La Vitton Hair Oil. I can see the difference it makes in my hair. My hair is more managable, more volume, and looks better, even though I think my hair look perfectly fine already. I have nothing to complain about with this hair oil beside I wish it come in a bigger size instead of just 1 oz. The price is great at $10, especially when this product is very wonderful. I think this is even better than other hair oil I've used before that cost twice or more at 1 oz. Oh, and this also prevent hair loss for me too, my main concern. =]. I use it at least once a week. I'm addicted to this hair oil and really enjoy using it. I've never like using hair oil before!
La Vitton hair product is shockingly good. I haven't use the shampoo yet, but will soon in the future.
