Bronzers -Yves Saint Laurent - Poudre de Soleil #1
clink 9/14/2010 9:34:00 PM
Pros: Light weight and slim, easy to carry in pouch. Healthy color goes on smoothly, did not settle in pores or lines. Did not make my medium asian skin look too bronzed or fake. Cons: Flimsy packaging. No brush.
Lip Treatments -Fresh - Sugar Rose Lip Treatment SPF 15
clink 9/14/2010 9:29:00 PM
Pros : Very moisturizing Plumped my lips with a light touch of amazing color If you don't like heavy lip color, this is for you! Cons: Packaging was a tad heavy Price is a little steep for lip balm This is already my 2nd tube. Gonna try the plum color next!
Didn't get much out of this mascara. Works just like any other. Did not give my asian eyelashes any extra boost. They just looked darker and slightly thicker, definitely not like fake lashes. They were clumpy and left globs all over. The wand also left residue on the top of my lids! I won't be buying this again.
Fragrances -L'Occitane - Cherry Blossom Solid Perfume
clink 12/30/2008 7:28:00 AM
Love the scent but would rather buy it in the eau de toilette. this solid perfume is very subtle and only lasted on me for about an hour. i love the light scent the cherry blossom is known for but i can't help wishing this would last longer.
Gels/Soaps -L'Occitane - Cherry Blossom Bath & Shower Gel
clink 12/30/2008 7:10:00 AM
This bath gel smells wonderful. I love the smell but find it very expensive. it's quite runny and runs out fast. however, the scent lingers on your skin for quite a while after that. i love layering it with the lotion and the perfume. Overall, i will buy it again but might alternate with some other bath gel.
Lip Gloss -Chanel - Aqualumiere gloss Glass Quartz
clink 10/5/2008 9:18:00 AM
The BEST lip gloss ever! And believe me, I've tried many many lip glosses. This one gives a slight sheen and the color seems to stain my lips even after the gloss wears off. It is light weight and not sticky at all which is awesome. It makes my lips look plumper and lines seem to disappear. The color gives my pale lips a natural pinkish boost which I love. The brush is very precise for application too!
I like this very much. It gives my skin a dewy look and smoothens it out. It also evens my skin tone and makes my pores invisible! I use it under my Dior powder foundation and the effect is flawless. I also use it alone with light dusting of loose powder when I'm too lazy for foundation. But I noticed my skin gets shiny really quickly when I don't use foundation. Overall, I'll repurchase.
Lipstick -Christian Dior - Dior Addict High Shine Lipstick
clink 8/3/2008 6:18:00 AM
I went to the Dior counter to get blusher and ended up buying a pro cheeks and the addict high shine in runway red. at the counter, the lipstick looked gorgeous under the lightings and other condtions. it made my lips look glossy and plump, it felt moisturized and slicked on creamy and glossy. it's even cheaper than Chanel lipsticks. when i got home, it was a different story. i tried it on again, this time it didn't look as glossy and there were little shiny particles that stuck to my lips even after the color is gone. it also bleeds a little and becomes uneven after a while. granted, it ddin't have the usual awful dior lipstick smell but i don't think i'll be getting another one. although, the colors are pretty amazing. i wonder if a lighter colour would be better? i will try another color if I've got nothing else to buy...
Self Tanners -Jergens - natural glow express medim/tan
clink 6/7/2008 8:10:00 AM
I really like this! This is not a self-tanner. It's a moisturizer with a hint of self tanner for you to build up to your desired tan-ness. So if you want fast fast fast color, this one doesn't do it. It develops into a nice tan after 3 days. Best of all, the smell is not offensive and totally goes away the next day after a bath. I'm a full shade tanner after 3 consecutive days of application, then I apply it once every 3 days to keep my tan in check. It's easy to apply, no streaks and fail proof. All you need to do is make sure it spreads on evenly. I wish they sold it in a bigger size in a pump bottle!
Very nice high shine color. That's all that's good about it. These are the reasons I don't like it. 1. It's so sticky, it makes my hair stick to my lips almost permanently. 2. Smells weird. - like plastic 3. Awful brush that fans out upon contact, you can't control where it goes on your lips Arg... I'm the woman with a 1000 glosses and this one is bad.
The most fantastic thing about this gloss is the brush! Yes, it's quite stiff and picks up the gloss really well. it distributes the gloss evenly on your lips. The consistency is thick without being too sticky. It even moisturizes my dry lips. Goes really well over my Chanel Allure Naive for a nude look. Tones down my darker lipsticks to make them more wearable in summer. Overall, I love it, but it is rather expensive! I will be trying more colors eventually. Great stuff.
I'm extremely surprised at all the bad reviews given on this. I've got very fine colored hair that's usually greasy by day's end. And I find this glaze absolutely amazing. It does for me what a $100 treatment would in salons. I get away with the same results as I would from stepping out of the salon - soft, shiny, silky extremely touchable hair. It doesn't make my hair greasy, or wear it down or make it dull at all. Hubby notices when I use it, and believe me, it's gotta be obvious for him to notice! I wash with a volumizing shampoo, then use the glaze as I would any other conditioner. I don't use much just enough to cover my bob cut, making sure every strand is coated and then rinse. I use it every two days and the results are just amazing. luv,luv luv!
I will most certainly not buy this again. Got it on ebay for $5 and even then I should have just gotten a Starbucks coffee with it! I got it in the color perle, thinking it'll give a nice glossy nude sheen. What I got was a dry, pale, over shiny lipstick. It emphasised all the lines on my lips and every crack was magnified 10x! It was horrible, I looked like a corpse. And the smell was absolutely repulsive, reminded me of the old lipsticks of yesteryears used by my great grand mother. I'm so very glad I didn't pay full price for it. It's going right into the bin.
Fragrances -Unlisted Brand - Paul Smith - Rose EDP
clink 5/11/2008 5:07:00 AM
I live in a humid country and love light scents. I usually go for fruity scents, this is the first time a floral scent as caught me. Paul Smith's Rose is light and feminine. It gives a very girlish, young, feeling. The packaging is a bit plain, but it works well. I also love the shower gel which I use at night. I can still smell it when I wake up in the morning. Very nice.
Lip Treatments -Kiehls - Lip Balm SPF 15 in Hue 58B
clink 5/11/2008 5:02:00 AM
Eeew! Gross is too nice a word to describe this balm. It smells and taste horrible, sort of like petroleum. The colour doesn't go on smoothly and ends up making my lips look patchy. It doesn't stay on long enough for me to have a sip of water and it's expensive. I'd rather buy a tub of Vaseline, works better anyday.
