ok...let's start with the bad first... I agree with most reviewers...the shade selection - or at least the colour samples in the brochures are not the best. I had to go through 3 shades until I found the right match...but once I did, I found my absolute favorite makeup! I have used every type of foundation under the sun, from the cheap, to the pricey. I've also used a few different mineral foundations (Pur Minerals & Sheer Cover) These foundations were nice, and offered good coverage, at a moderate price ($35). I can honestly say, that once I found my shade (Almond), I've never been happier. It's pretty quick to apply, has nice coverage when used with a proper brush, and gives my skin a nice glow without looking orange. The price cannot be beat at only $9.99. My only beef, is that I wish they also made this is a pressed powder form like Pur Minerals for those times I'm always in a rush!
I use many different kinds of microdermabrasion & peels because I am a skin care freak! This one is excellent. It can irritate if you have sensitive skin, but if you don't give this one a shot. It's quick & easy to use, and your skin will glow for days afterwards! I got this as a part of the Showstopper on the home shopping channel for next to nothing, and wasn't really expecting much. This was a pleasant surprise.
Fragrances -Yves Rocher - Ode a l'amour [DISCONTINUED]

This scent is very overpowering, and is quite spicy. I love fragrance of all kinds, but this one is definitely not one of my favorites. I will say however that YR's new fragrance called "Ode a l'amour Tendrement" is quite lovely. It has the fruity soft notes of the original without the spice of the original. Give that one a shot.
Lip Gloss -Yves Rocher - Luminelle Lip Gleam [DISCONTINUED]

This is nice if you just want a little gloss when you're on the run. I don't like it over lip colour as it causes your lipstick to bleed or stick to your teeth. Great for those days when you want a natural look.
I bought a few bottles of this on sale, because I love almost all of they Yves Rocher products I have tried. The packaging is great, and for those with sensitive eyes, I imagine it would be lovely as it is quite gentle. Unfortunately, it does take a lot of product to effectively remove eye makeup, and it is virtually impossible to remove waterproof/longwearing makeup with this. This causes you to tear and pull at your eye area whisch is never a good thing. I will not repurchase.
Treatments (Eye) -Yves Rocher - Self defense eye cream [DISCONTINUED]

I really liked this eye cream. I have an olive complexion and find that the light deflecting pigments work well for me, and because it's not too heavy, it doesn't dry and sit in those nasty fine lines around my eyes. It's not a miracle cream and I find it a little light for night, so I use their Creme Riche for evening, but over all a good value. A little goes a long way.
Gels/Soaps -Yves Rocher - Jardins Du Monde - All Shower Gels
claudis1973 1/27/2006 3:58:00 PM
I have been using these shower gels for about a year now. I used to buy avon alot as I sell avon on a small scale to family and friends, but quite frankly, I prefer these by far! They have a great selection of scents, they are a great size and a great value. I also enjoy the fact that the smell only sticks around while you are in your shower, which means it won't clash with what ever fragrances or body products you may choose to use after your shower. I would highly recommend to those that don't have sensitive skin :-)
Mascara -L'Oreal - Volume Shocking Mascara [DISCONTINUED]

Yup...this stuff is pretty bad. I normally like L'oreal products but was sooooo very sorry that I dished out the $15 to try this stuff. The primer is good, and works well with other mascaras, but the comb applicator is horrible. I had tried a comb applicator once before with a Rimmel Mascara and was also very dissappointed. Had I realized prior that this mascara came with a comb applicator I would never have bothered. Don't waste your money. Give L'oreal's Voluminous a try..it's much better!
Skincare - Face -Avon - Anew Clinical Micro-Exfoliant

I recently tried this after all the great reviews on this product. I'll tell you firstly that I'm a skin care freak, and am religious with my regime, including exfoliation. Deep down I really didn't believe it would make a difference over my regular scrub. Was I wrong! This stuff is incredible! It cleared up my dry patches in one use. At $25 CAD it can be expensive, but I purchased it on a 2for1 avon promotion. Do yourself a favour and give this one a try!
I very much like this entire line. When purchased on sale it is very inexpensive, and is perfect for dry skin. I use it only in the winter time as my skin has multiple personalities depending on the season. It has a very clean scent, and you feel your skin being instantly hydrated. I'm not sure about it's anti-aging properties, so I usually use a light ant-aging serum underneath just to be safe
I bought this product a few months ago and loved the texture, but was put off by the fragrance. If you're sensitive to fragrance this product may not be for you....Anyway lately my skin has developed a few dry patches so I decided to dig this out and give it another shot. I love it, my face glows and overnight almost completely softened a very stubborn dry patch. Buy it when it's on sale and you'll be pleased :-)
I loooooove this toner. I used to use Clinique's toner faithfully but decided to give this a shot because my regular toner was drying out my skin in the winter. I am so happy I found this stuff. It's dirt cheap and it works without drying my skin. I'll never to back to clinique again
I actually did notice the plump with this product. It does what it says and I'll be buying more products from this line :-)
Lip Gloss -Avon - Beyond Color Plumping Lip Gloss-Code Pink
claudis1973 2/8/2005 12:36:00 PM
I actually quite liked these glosses. I didn't think that they'd actually plump, but I was pleasantly surprised to see that even my husband could tell the difference! I hardly look like Angelina Jolie, but I'm very pleased and will repurchase again :-)
I've got to agree with the reviewers. I actually just tried this stuff for the first time and I like it better than my MAC Lipglass or Lancome Juicy Tubes. It feels and tastes great...not too heavy or sticky. I got mine for under $3 CAD and couldn't be happier. I'll definitely buy more of these
