I got a sample of this at Sephora a long time ago and remember loving it! So I recently bought a bottle with lancome's gwp. It feels so light and the texture is so smooth on the skin, different from the feel of most primers I've tried. Never feels thick or mask-like, but delivers very well. Try it for yourself. This is definitely a favorite!
Foundations -Cover Girl - Outlast Stay Fabulous 3 in 1 Foundation

In my opinion, this is "THE BEST" drugstore foundation out there by far!!! This even beats some of my high end foundations! The feel of this on the skin is very similar to Chanel's Perfection Lumiere!! This is now a permanent mainstay in my collection. This covers completely in one pump without the heavy, mask-like look! Makes my skin look perfect with a semi-matte finish! Also lasts a long time. Love this!!! If you're looking to try something new, you need to try this!
One of the best facial exfoliators out there! I'm so glad I gave it a try! I've always wanted to buy Kate Somerville's Exfolikate, but it was just too expensive. This on the other hand will give you a clean, fresh, radiant, and oil free face with a fraction of the price. When you rub this on your face, you can really feel it exfoliating the skin. It can be quite abrasive, so just be gentle. It's actually very affordable too, because you only use it once or twice a week. I will forever be a fan! Definitely recommend!
I've heard a lot of good things about lush so I decided to try some of their products. Seanik is probably my favorite shampoo from now on. It gave my limp and straight hair more body and bounce! The first time I tried this was at night time, so when I woke up the next day, my hair was amazingly full! Wow! I definitely recommend for anyone who has limp, straight, lifeless hair.
I bought this on the missha website only because I wanted my total amount to reach free shipping. Lol! First off, I'm very tan, NC42 in MAC. When I saw the color, I thought no way could this ever work! But I decided to try it anyway. What I do is use this as a base. I apply a thin amount with my hands, then follow on with my regular foundation. It does leave my skin a bit lighter, but goes away after an hour. This has helped control oil. Actually, as soon as I put this on, all the shine disappears! So, thumbs up to this BB cream. Definitely a must for all of us oily gals!
Gels/Soaps -Unlisted Brand - Dr Bronners Liquid Soap - All Scents
claragonz 3/9/2012 12:27:00 AM
After reading so many reviews, I decided to give this a try. I bought the peppermint and I have used it on myself as shampoo and body wash. The first time I used it, I didn't dilute it, so my hair ended up being heavy and dull. But after diluting it 50/50 with water, it became my hair's best friend. Since my hair is thin, super straight, and oily, it usually doesn't have body. After using the diluted soap, it had more body and volume! I think the secret here is scrubbing and rinsing your hair very well. I've also used this to clean my makeup brushes. It works so well! My brushes are very white again, like new! I'm now a convert! Will be buying their other scents! Dr. Bronners Soaps=LOVE!
Wow, this lipstick is the perfect nude!! Initially, I thought it was going to be too light for my NC42 skin, but this shade made my lips fuller without washing me out. It has a peachy undertone. Perfectly paired with brown eyeshadow and peachy blush! Love it!!
This eyebrow pencil would've been a perfect 10, if not for its horrible packaging! The product itself is actually one of the best I've tried. The wax makes my eyebrows look full and very natural. The spoolie on the other end helps blend in the color effortlessly. But I'm not sure how to sharpen this with a sharpener... we'll see what happens. Please maybelline, change this to a twist up pencil!!!
This foundation is one of the best I've tried. Probably on my top 5. =) Given that this is my first Shiseido foundation, I really can't compare it to any other products they have. But this is a winner! It has a semi-matte finish that doesn't look flat. My skin just looks polished and smooth. I also love the fact that you only need a very small amount to use on your whole face. The first time I tried it, I used my hands to blend the foundation and it worked flawlessly. The color stays true throughout the day as well. I also love the container-- a small, black, plastic, squeeze-type pout. It's very compact and light-weight. I truly have nothing negative to say. Will definitely buy again. =) For reference: I'm NC40-42, and use O60
Foundations -Eve Pearl - High Definition Dual Foundation with CosmeNutrients
claragonz 10/1/2011 10:40:00 PM
I really had high hopes for this because I do love eve pearl's salmon concealer. But, I found this foundation too heavy for my liking. I really don't think I can use this as an everyday foundation because I always look like I have thick, heavy makeup on. For special occasions, maybe yes. I have tried using her reverse contour method, but it really didn't work out for me. The darker shade is way too dark(maybe 3-4 shades darker) for my skin. So the only color I can use is the lighter shade. I don't think I would repurchase this for the price. It's way too expensive for a foundation that doesn't deliver extremely well. (For reference, I'm NC42 and I use their tan color.)
Like other reviewers before me, I discovered this through one of Kandee Johnson's videos. I immediately bought this cos I'm always on the lookout for a great drugstore foundation. Even though I have a lot of foundations already, I can't seem to ever have enough. =) With that said, I can say that this is one of the best foundations I own. Even with no primer, this foundation lasted on me from about 2 pm through the night with no touch ups! Amazing! Now the finish is dewy, but you will have to set it with loose powder. I've tried setting it with MAC's MSF in Medium Dark, or MAC's loose powder in NC40. The result is medium coverage, and very natural. It doesnt look like I have a mask on. So definitely worth a try! (for reference, I am NC42 in MAC Studio Fix, Laura Mercier in Vanilla Beige--Asian skintone. I use their darkest shade in 174 Sun Beige.)
Eyeliner -L'Oreal - Extra-Intense Liquid Pencil Eyeliner
claragonz 9/29/2011 5:46:00 PM
Wow, I am floored by this! This is now my new HG.Thanks to Kandee Johnson's youtube video, I discovered this gem. I got this in carbon black... it is the creamiest, smoothest, darkest black I've ever come across. Plus the staying power is absolutely amazing!!! I can't stop raving about this!!! This beats my UD Zero, MUFE, MAC or any eyeliners I've ever owned. Will definitely repurchase this. For only $7.50, your money's worth goes far beyond! Every makeup lover should buy this!! No more spending $20+ on a mediocre eyeliner!
Makeup Brushes -Sigma - F80 Flat Top Synthetic Kabuki (was SS197)
claragonz 9/27/2011 12:22:00 PM
I bought the 3 set from sigma just recently, and the F80 is now my HG foundation brush!! This brush is THE one and only brush I turn to when I need to put on liquid foundation. The bristles are super soft and dense enough to equally distribute product. The finish is completely flawless! This one tops even my Beautly Blender! For $16.00, the quality is superb!!! Every girl should have one!
Liquid -Boots - No7 Intelligent Balance Foundation Mousse
claragonz 9/23/2011 11:37:00 AM
It's my first time to use a mousse-like foundation, and this one really worked amazing for me! I love the finish, it has a satiny-feel and is also matte at the same time, which I love! It lasts all day too! It didn't oxidize or change color throughout the day. I didn't need to touch up! Wow!!! I have to give it to Boots! I have their lifting and firming foundation, as well as their Stay Perfect foundation. I give them all 5s! Such a great brand, and affordable too!
I just love this concealer! I will never be without it. This is by far the BEST concealer for my under eye circles. Thanks to all the youtube beauty gurus who have given this product great reviews. All I can say is wow! The moment I put it on, I can't see my circles anymore. Yes, it is a bit orange, but I think that's what makes a big difference in hiding the circles. Plus, the consistency is very thin (gel like), so I don't have to pile on a ton of concealer to cover. After I put powder over, my circles are nowhere in sight! Yes, it is very expensive, but worth every penny!
