Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Pharmagel Glyco-8

I bought this years ago, and stopped using it after I went on Obagi Nu-Derm. What I've been using it for lately is a base for a micropeel. I had some Philosopy crystals left over when I'd used up the activator that came with the kit. This product works just as well with the crystals if not better. It works with moistened berry sugar too. Gently distribute the crystals on your face, and then add enough Glyco 8 to make it nice and slippery. Very gently massage for half a minute or so. No pressure or rubbing hard! Leave it on for another 5 or 10 minutes before you rinse it off. Nice, smooth exfoliated skin.

No miracle product, but nice enough eye cream if you have money to burn.

Treatments (Eye) -Unlisted Brand - Latisse Lash Growth Drops

I wrote before when trying out Lilash and Revitalash. I was using on one one eye and the other on the other. I came to the conclusion that Lilash was better because the eye I used it on had notably longer lashes. Well, after months of not using either so I could try Latisse, I found that the same eyelid that underperformed before has underperformed when using Latisse on both eyes. Both eyes are definitely improved, but the same one as before has noticable longer lashes. So much for scientific experimentation with a sample size of 1! Well, I tried. Now I've switched to Careprost from overseas because of the expense. We'll see... By using a daintier eyeliner brush, I was able to extend the bottle of Latisse nearly 3 months instead of 1. The brushes that come with it waste a lot. I understand that it's more sanitary to use a different brush for each applcation to each eye, but the brushes were WAY to big and hard to direct. Expensive drops rolled off of them or, if absorbed by the brush, did not get back out. I was using extra just to get the big brushes wet enough. I tried trimming them for a while before I gave up and started using a regular washable eyeliner brush. I can't see spending the money that Latisse (or even Lilash) costs if Careprost will work as well. Given that Careprost is the generic form of Latisse, I have high hopes. I spent $10 per 3ml bottle of Careprost plus $15 shipping. So, that's $45 for 3 bottles (9 mos?) of the generic instead of $120 for maybe 3 mos of Latisse.

Treatments (Eye) -Unlisted Brand - Lilash - Purified Eyelash Stimulator

Please see my Latisse review as of 1/8/2011. Apparently my comparison of Rivitalash and Lilash was flawed! Given that we don't really know what's in Revitalash or Lilash, I have switched to Latisse and then the generic form of Latisse. FINAL UPDATE 16 FEB 2009: ****************** I abandoned the Revitalash because the Lilash is working better for me. The Revitalash might have caught up after a few more weeks, but then again it might not. I'm using mascara on the Revitalash eye so I don't look so lopsided. My Revitalash eye does have better lashes than it did to start with, but I would not buy that product again for that subtle an improvement. The Lilash effect is not all that dramatic either--I have normal looking eyelashes on that eye now instead of really short ones--but it's enough improvement to keep using Lilash. For almost the same price, maybe Latisse would be the best way to go? ************************** (This post first appeared 12/20/2008 among the Revitalash reviews. I'm cross-posting it because it's about LiLash too.) **************** I just today started using Revitalash on my right eye. And Lilash on my left eye. It's an expensive experiment, but somebody has to do it. If I had another couple of eyes and another big bundle of money, I'd be trying MD Lash and Enormous Lash at the same time. I'll add to this report as soon as I notice any change. (I really do hope I get SOMETHING to report!) ****************** UPDATE: As of Jan 6, I have no definite improvement to report, although when I put on mascara my lashes did look longer than before. Wishful thinking? Anyway, it's still early days. I still have had no unpleasant side effects from either product, which is saying something. I have chronically dry and sensitive eyes. Most kinds of makeup and skin care products cause all-day tears that make me look like I'm crying. How annoying! But so far neither Rivitalash (the newest formulation) nor Lilash has caused any problem whatsoever. ************************ UPDATE 01/24: There is a difference now... on my lower left eyelid. The lashes there are distinctly longer than on the right, and a tiny fringe has appeared where there was a gap. Other than that, both eyes now have enough growth to grab with an eyelash curler, which is new. The lashes on both eyes look darker and feel more supple, too. But it will take far more dramatic results to make either product worth the cost. The LiLash website says I should be there in another couple of weeks. The Revitalash site says to give it another 4 to 6 weeks. We'll see...

Fragrances -Rochas - Femme

Femme has been my signature scent for 30 years. If you're tempted to buy it, you might want to wear it for a couple of hours first. The scent changes over time. Also, this is one of those perfumes that smell very different on different people. I got my first bottle from my sister, who found that on her it smelled like bug spray. Fair enough... she inherited my Joy because that smells like nail polish remover on me.
