Pressed Powders -Lancome - Translucence Mattifying Silky Pressed Powder

This magical powder, when combined with Tient Miracle foundation, makes my skin look incredible. What I mean is it even makes your skin look good when you are tired, and that is saying a lot. This powder smooths over the skin and does not settle into fine lines or pores. it has a very silky finish. It has no scent so it will not bother your nose or your skin. So far I have had no breakouts or irritations with this powder. If you have not had enough sleep (which is me, on a reg basis) this and the Tient Miracle are the stuff to use.
I have, on some occaisions, used Dawn hand renewal (pomogranite scent) to wash my face. I put it on my clairsonic. I have to say, it worked great. I am going to start using it a couple of times a week to wash my face. My skin glowed when I used it. I really don't know what to say other than I am shocked. It did not irritate my skin or dry it out. Keep in mind I do have an oilier skin, but it is sensitive and Dawn did not hurt it.
Sunscreen -Cetaphil - Dermacontrol Oil Control Moisturizer

I am so glad this product was invented! Its like one of those gigantic bottles of stuff you don't feel like you have to "ration" in any way. Its a light lotion with spf 30 that absorbs pretty quickly. I'm not going to say its really "oil control", but it absolutely does not add any oil to your face, just some light moisture, and I don't care how oily one's face is, everyone needs a little moisture. Spf 30 is great, not too little like spf 15 (which I don't even use anymore, just not enough). Also, not too much like spf 50 (which is not a problem if you have dry skin but is if you have oily because the sunscreen ingredients are just oily themselves). Ok, the scent of this product is not the best, kind of chemically, but that is because is it fragrance free and they haven't used anything to cover up the smell. Its ok, it goes away almost immediately. I have used this product for a cpuple of weeks now. The only gripe I have is that if it gets in the eyes, it stings a lot. So, one word of caution is to keep it away from the eyes.
Liquid -Revlon - ColorStay Makeup with SoftFlex SPF 6 for Combination/Oily Skin
cindy007 3/31/2013 10:14:00 AM
Used to use this makeup, then told my snob friend and she steered me away from it, towards expensive drugstore brands. Years later I have secretly gone back to it and love it all over again. This stuff provides coverage and the colors are great. It can be a little thick to apply so I put on a light lotion moisturizer right before and then immediately put on the makeup. Will not collect in pores but do give it a light swoosh with your finger over larger pore areas (that is, wipe it away just a little). Have been using it with Coty Airspun powder. The bottle top is the worst. Lots of product collects in the lid and around the outside of the top. I wish they would fix this. But otherwise, I really have to say that this is a great product that will stay on all day and has not clogged my pores or irritated my skin in any way.
Lipstick -Revlon - Colorstay Ultimate Suede - Catwalk

You know, I really dig this color. Its just one of those, not too dark, not too light, present yet not present, perfect for all occasions lip color. The colorstay part is also nice, it really does stay on. I like the tube a lot, it keeps the lipstick from breaking or bending in any way. Also, has a light scent that is barely noticeable. Hope they keep making this color.
Powder -Coty - airspun loose face powder translucent extra coverage

The trick to this product is finding the right color. After you do that, you'll wonder how you lived without it. This review is not for transluscent (which is just way too pale for me) but for Naturally Neutral, which has more color. Great powder. Milled very fine. Does not collect in pores or fine lines, just smooths the face and sets foundation. I use this with Revlon Colorstay foundation and it makes my skin look awesome. Only a little teensy bit is needed, and I use the puff that is included. This is a another trick, do not overload the product on your face. Has not irritated my skin in any way or broken it out. I am bipolar when it comes to the scent, one day I love it, one day I hate it, but at all times I'm able to at least tolerate it enough to get the powder on my face. And the scent fades almost immediately after you put the powder on your face. Oh and I have finally figured out what the pattern is on the package. I thought at first it was a Chinese design, at least, it looked Asian or Oriental to me, but what it is upon close inspection is little powder puffs, all over the top. So now you know!
I really like this product. I'd been eyeing it for a while, but for some reason stayed away because it was spf 28 (what's that?) and not 30. Then i read the percent of active ingredients in other spf 30 sunscreens and it was the exactly the same. Hmmmm. Anyway, this product is very light and smells excellent. It is moisturizing but not overly greasy. It does not sting my eyes. It has not broken me out or irritated my skin in any way and it is very inexpensive. It is not chock full of vitamins or anything, like Lancome Bienfait total, but then again, that one is 3x more expensive. Overall a very good product and not financially burdensome.
Skincare - Body -Johnson & Johnson - Moisturizing Baby Wash
cindy007 2/24/2013 2:45:00 PM
The best handsoap out there, and also best wash for baby. Will not irritate skin at all. Will not chap it, chafe it, overdry it, etc. I turned to this product because I suffer from eczema on my hands. I just cannot use regular hand wash, its way too harsh. I started out using Mustella baby wash, which is equally as excellent, but expensive. I wanted a less expensive formula. I found this. It has no sulfates and is moisturizing and cleans well and smells awesome. It has baby lotion in it so it is not drying. IF YOU HAVE SENSITIVE SKIN THIS WILL NOT HURT YOUR SKIN.
Lotions/ Creams -Aveeno - Intense Relief Overnight Cream
cindy007 1/10/2013 10:35:00 PM
If your skin is wreck and you want to rehabilitate it, go straight for this stuff. I have very sensitive skin that reacts to everything. Eczema. Etc. I tried a new laundry detergent and my whole body was one big itch. I would scratch at night until I bled, scratch marks on my arms. Red rash on my stomach and back. I rewashed everything and also used this cream. I had never tried it before. Immediately it calmed down the itch. In the morning the skin did not itch at all anymore and was healing. I put it on again in the morning and now by evening the red rash has gone. I even put some on my face and woke up to smooth skin. I am just so glad I found this stuff. BTW this is the overnight cream with Dimethicone in it.
This foundation states that it uses, like, 10x less powders than other foundations and a lot more water, and for this reason it will not sink into lines and will smooth the face and give it a glow. It does. This foundation will give the skin coverage without giving it the cakey look most foundations give. It really is an amazing accomplishment. It will not settle into fine lines or pores. It does give the skin a glow. It has not broken out my face. The only thing I will say is that the product runs a tad light so I am using a powder I had stored away for being too dark. Seems to be working out fine. When I buy another foundation I'll get a little darker color. An honestly excellent foundation that really is different from the others.
Powder -Lancome - Color Ideal Pressed Powder [DISCONTINUED]
cindy007 9/11/2012 3:38:00 PM
Wow. What a nice powder. This powder makes my face look smoooooth. Makes pores look smaller and will not collect in lines. Also, does not go on too thick. It really perfects the skin. It does run a hair dark so I buy a color one lighter than I normally do. It has no smell and is oil free so it does not clog pores or irritate skin. Such a winner of a powder. I love it. Also, it seems to last a pretty long time.
Very light, sheer sunscreen that will not make you look like you are wearing a physical sunscreen. I'm so glad that someone finally figured out to add tint to these physical sunscreens, because no matter what, without the tint, they leave a white cast. This sunscreen does not. It has a light, liquidy texture that will dry after a little while but I go ahead and put on powder over it. It is like using a very sheer makeup. It provides good sun protection without any chemicals. Basically has no smell and has not irritated my skin in any way. I have noticed a reduction in freckels since starting to use it.
Pressed Powders -Maybelline - Shine Free Pressed Powder
cindy007 7/17/2012 1:59:00 PM
Maybelline seems to have changed its entire product line but they kept this powder around and the same. I had never tried it until recently but I can see why its been kept. Its pretty good! Normaly I use Estee Lauder or Bobbi Brown and have even tried Cle de Peau, but I dare say, I might actually like this stuff more. I purchased the pressed powder in translucent and though I thought it would be too light, since I use tinted sunscreen it actually works out fine. I do have to put it on again after three or more hours, but that's because I have oily skin and would have to with any powder. But it gave a glow to my complexion that really seem to caught people's attention. This powder actually made me look BETTER. Like a lot. The packaging is terribly ugly but I just don't care. I don't think I'll ever be without this stuff from now on.
The best acne treatment. My mother kept telling me to try this, and I wouldn't, until one day finally I did. I had to stop using my usual benzoil peroxide treatment for other reasons, for a while, and my face went crazy. I squeezed a fresh lemon and rubbed it on my face one night, and just left it on without anything else. In the morning my face was clear. It worked 3X faster I would say than my usual treatment. I'm switching to lemons. They are awesome and you know you are not poisoning yourself with chemicals when you use them.
I am trying hard to think of good things to say about this shampoo. Smells awesome. Cheap. I actually really like the color and bottle. But it is very harsh. When I washed my hair, right after when it was wet, it was squeaky clean, after just one wash. Squeaky as though I had washed it with soap. Then, the rest of the day, my hair was so dull and dry and thin looking and static-y. Boy it was clean and never smelled so good, but it looked horrible. Still, I like the smell of this shampoo so much that I think I'm going to start using it to wash my delicates.
