Eyeliner -MAC - Superslick Liquid Liner

I have this in "Marked for Glamour". At first, I didn't like this eyeliner. Yes it stays put all day, but it's not the easiest to apply. I was more used to "normal" liquid eyeliner which isn't a felt tip soaked with colour. However, with practice, I was able to apply carefully and thinly above my upper lash line and I found it's by far one of the best liquid liners I've used. It really stays on all day (provided you do not have a habit of rubbing your eyes, as it may flake off!) unlike some other eyeliners which get transferred to my upper eye lids after thousands and millions of blinks in the day. I also take care not to apply the eyeliner too close to my inner eye and outer eye, because those places are easy for the colour to flake off. Removal is easy for me, as I use cleansing oil every evening and it comes off easily. Yes it does seem harder to remove compared to other eyeliners, but cleansing oil removes it completely. Overall I'm pleased with this eyeliner, and with lots of practice you can master the perfect eyeline that stays put all day, thanks to this product!

Primer/ Corrector -Prescriptives - Flawless Face Primer Spring09

I've been using this primer everyday for more than a month now. Its texture is quite thick with sparkly effect. It seems to brighten my complexion.Makeup seems to stay on quite well above this primer. However I do not find this extraordinarily different or better than several other primers out there. Anyway, Prescriptives brand is discontinued now...

This is for the red cap bottle, for coloured hair. I've only been using this hair oil for few days but I really noticed the nice, fresh scent throughout the day. The texture of the oil is very "watery", doesn't feel greasy at all. I use 2 drops on my shoulder-length straight hair, which was recently coloured. Apart from the nice scent that lasts all day, I haven't noticed much difference yet. Perhaps I need to try all 3 methods, or perhaps I need more than 2 drops. Overall it's a nice product and a new experience for me.

Don't like this primer at all! It doesn't act like a primer to me - just as a normal moisturiser. My skin is no different to before it was applied. Makeup didn't glide on smoothly - instead bits of foundation rubbed off! Fortunately I didn't buy this, I used a sample sachet. I will definitely not buy it!

This is a new product from Vichy. It's a serum that corrects dark spots. The scent of the serum is a typical Vichy scent which I really like. The texture of the serum is thicker than I expected but it gets absorbed into the skin well. I've only been using it for a few days so I don't know if it really does what it says, but so far it hasn't had any bad effects.

Mascara -Lancome - Hypnose Star

Just like any other Lancome mascaras, this doesn't make my lashes stay curled up. I have typical short Asian lashes and after curling them, applying Lancome mascaras would immediately un-curl them. I've tried following the instructions; first using the flat side and then use the curved side, but it just doesn't work! I'm still using it, but only after applying my Shu Uemura mascara (which keeps my lashes curled) and using this to add more volume. That's about it... not going to purchase! (I'm using a sample size at the moment)

BB Cream -Maybelline - Dream Fresh 8-in-1 BB Cream

I really quite like this as one of my favourite drugstore BB creams. (thinking of another drugstore BB cream, Garnier, really didn't like that one!). This provides good coverage, feels fresh on the skin, doesn't feel heavy at all, and is non-greasy. Would probably re-purchase! Give this a try girls!

Primer/ Corrector -DHC - Q10 Moist Color Base

I'm not 100% sure if this is what I tried, but the product name is "Q10 Moisture Care Color Base in Beige". I tried a small sample sachet and I quite liked it. It does give an even base for applying makeup on top. Not sure if it does what it says about correcting uneven skin tones though, perhaps needs to be used over a longer period of time to find out.

Mascara -Shiseido - Perfect Mascara Defining Volume

I received a sample of this from a Shiseido counter. I really liked it. I have short Asian lashes and most mascaras do not hold my curl at all. This one gave me full volume and held the curl very well. Only thing I didn't like was that the brush was too big. If the brush was smaller it would've been even more perfect for my short lashes!

I received a small tube sample of this, so it was squeezed out of a tube instead of what the full size product is like. I felt this was just like a normal moisturiser; it does nothing to prime my skin for makeup, and doesn't brighten my skin. Sometimes I put it on and I wonder why I'm even bothering! It really doesn't make any difference to my makeup, whether I put it on or not... so I won't be buying this!!

Cleansers -L'Occitane - Almond Apple Cleansing Oil

This cleansing oil has a lovely scent, its texture is pretty runny compared to several other cleansing oils. I think it does a moderate job of removing makeup. The thing that really annoyed me about this cleansing oil is that everytime after removing my eye makeup (mascara and eyeliner) my eyes are slightly irritated. They seem to have a film on top of it so everything I see is blurry. No matter what I tried whatever I see is still blurry. This has never happened with other cleansing oils I've used (Shu Uemura, DHC, Lancome...). I don't know if this breaks me out (more than usual) because I have acne regularly anyway, but it does sound like it breaks other users out, so I'll watch out for this. Also it leaves my skin slightly drier than other cleansing oils. Certainly not a very hydrating cleansing oil at all. I don't think I'll buy it again.

Toners -Living Nature - Hydrating Toning Gel

This hydrating gel toner leaves your skin feeling cool and refreshed. I didn't like its smell though, it's too strong for my liking. The texture is denser than usual toner but that's fine for me. It leaves skin feeling hydrated and I probably might buy it again.

This does feel oily when first applied to the skin, and even though it gets absorbed, I feel it wasn't fully absorbed, so my skin still felt slightly oily. I didn't like its smell or texture, and it didn't seem to do anything for my skin. I won't be buying this again!

Powder -Boots - No. 7 Mineral Perfection Powder Foundation

I have been using this mineral loose powder foundation for 3 days straight now and love it. It is light (you don't feel like you're wearing foundation at all) and it has good coverage. The shade I'm using is New Ivory, which is the lightest shade available, however it is still too dark for my skin! It makes me look like I have a tanned face and the colour of my neck is obviously different than the colour of my face. Apart from the shade issue, everything else about this product is excellent. It comes in a nice looking pot and also comes with a brush. The brush is in a small black mesh bag and looks really lovely. Application of this product is easy: just tap some of the powder onto the pot cap and swirl your brush in it. Then tap off any excess and apply onto face in circular motions. Repeat all over the face. BTW I don't use the supplied brush. I use my flawless face BE brush instead.

Cleansers -Bliss Labs - clog-dissolving cleansing milk

I used a small 30ml travel size sample of this cleanser. Firstly, it smells just like plastic, so I really hated the smell. Secondly, I used it sometimes (especially when travelling) to remove face makeup and it doesn't do a good job at it. Thirdly, the small bottle is a really bad design. After a long travel in the cosmetic bag, you'll find product has oozed its way out of the bottle. Overall I won't recommend this and won't ever buy it.
